The letter went to the city manager, who told me that he would try to resolve the issue with the council and to "keep a watchful eye on the event." I told him that was not very helpful.
In June, we held our first event. The event was scheduled for September 9; my brother called and said he was coming, and that he would not be able to make the event, because the city had changed the date and wanted a new certificate of authority.
