so today i'm going to be talking about the top three reasons you should move to maryland so i want to start out first by saying you know i at one time relocated to maryland so i was not born and raised here i am from charleston south carolina and yeah i moved here some years ago i also went to college in the dc area but even living in dc and living in maryland there are some differences so number one i would say the weather and someone who hates the cold would be like girl they know it snows hold up what do you mean but here in d.c or the metropolitan area in maryland we get all four seasons so in the fall it's actually like mild then in the winter will get colder that's when you'll get the snow and then you get springtime when it starts to warm up just a little bit you start to see the flowers bloom and then summer is really hot so you get all four seasons and i kind of enjoy that because i like the cold too but it's not all year long it's not like living in i don't know maybe alaska somewhere that you would think might be cold the whole time so i really like that about maryland you get to pull out your outfits for all four seasons whichever your favorite is mine personally is fall i love fall jackets and boots and scarves so that's one reason i think you'll love maryland number two is the culture living in the dmv is a melting pot it's one thing i really like about living here depending on where you are in the country it's something you may not be used to but you meet people of all cultures i've had in college roommates and people that i work with that are from all nationalities um it's one of the first places i lived where people always come up to me asking me what country i'm from or where is my family from and i'm like south carolina but it's very diverse and i love that it's like being somewhere um it's like being international but you're right here in the united states um i remember a couple of years ago i brought one of my cousins in her senior high school to see some of the colleges in the area and we stayed at a hotel and we were in the elevator and she was like wow this is like she's never been in a place where you're on the elevator you can hear three four or five different accents because people are from so many different places so with that comes the food you can find pretty much any type of food a restaurant here so that's always great so what was it number one is the weather all four seasons number two is the melting pot and culture and i would say number three it's just close proximity so you can live in maryland and a lot of people work in dc so you're close to dc you're close to nightlife dining in maryland we also have our own great dining restaurants entertainment it's a metropolitan area so there is always a lot of activities going on well of course when there's not kovit stopping everything um we're also very close to we have a mix of everything here we have beaches um ocean city is about two hours away from the area of maryland if you're in like prince george's or around doe county areas you're not too far from the beach so that is something you can still enjoy we have corn fields we have great falls if you like to go hiking we have beautiful waterfalls and hiking trails so there's a lot to do if you want suburban life like almost the country life or if you want the city life you can get it all here in maryland so yeah think about all these things when you're relocating i know i love it here you will too
