so I've been in the affiliate marketing space for around six years now and it wasn't until recently where a lot of different affiliate marketing gurus started popping up and with that comes lots of claims lots of lies that can be very misleading for a beginner like yourself so what I want to do in this video is expose some of those claims expose some of those lies tell you what is true what isn't based on my personal experience doing affiliate marketing over the past six years now real quick if you guys don't know how I'm already my name is Chad Bartlett I'm the top affiliate worldwide for a massive software company and I make these videos because I already became a millionaire from affiliate marketing and I want to help others achieve the same Freedom that I have so if you're new to the channel be sure to subscribe so you don't miss out on any of my future videos alright so the first lie in this space is going to be the affiliate marketing is a very passive and lazy business model now you can see people are making Tick Tock videos on this all the time you know going over you know side hustles for the broken lazy side hustles if you're broken lazy so obviously they're using these words to attract people but this is a big claim that a lot of gurus make out affiliate marketing to be but you got to keep in mind with affiliate marketing there's a lot of work that you have to put up front which means you probably won't make money your first three months right so the way affiliate marketing works it's not like a service business model let's compare it to people who watch windows so for example I was talking to these kids last night they knocked on my door and they offered to wash my windows and you know I turned them down by asking them how much they're actually making per day doing this and on a good day they said they're making around 500 now keep in mind what they're doing to make that 500 is not only washing windows right performing the service but they're going around and knocking on people's doors for eight hours a day so I guarantee you if I went and did that for eight hours today I can make at least three hundred dollars by the end of the day but if I was starting affiliate marketing from complete scratch beginner I had no list no audience no anything I cannot go out there and make 500 with affiliate marketing by the end of the day even if I worked for like 12 hours so you got to keep in mind what the fill in mark talking there's a lot of upfront work and then once you get it going you get the ball rolling you have your email list built you have an audience built it becomes way way easier so what I want you to take away from this is going into affiliate marketing you cannot be lazy you cannot think it's a passive business model you're going to be putting in a lot of work but once again once you get the ball rolling and it starts rolling you get that momentum then it becomes a lot easier a lot more passive and affiliate marketing can take you as little as an hour per day to make a full-time income after you get the ball rolling all right so the second big lie I've recently been seeing in this space is you have to promote High ticket products to make good money and guys this is simply just not true at all you don't have to promote High ticket obviously it's going to be a lot easier to sell a 10 product versus a thousand dollar product it's going to be a hundred thousand times easier even though a lot of people in the space will tell you oh it takes the same amount of effort to sell a hundred dollar product as it does a thousand dollar product again this is just not true at all it's it's common sense obviously there's a lot less risk when people are only investing a hundred dollars or fifty dollars versus a thousand dollars that's a big difference people have to make and there has to be a lot more trust there so when you're first starting out it's almost better to start with a lower ticket product or maybe promote something that gives you recurring commissions right so that's kind of always been my thing is you know I don't really like low ticket just like low ticket one-off sales and high ticket yeah maybe if you can find a decent product and you like the niche but again the high ticket it's going to take a lot longer to make a sale it's just like a real estate agent sure they're making high ticket commissions when they're selling houses but a lot agents are only selling houses once a month once every two months and when you go weeks without making a single sale or you go days without making a single sale that can be stressful sometimes right and this is why you know High ticket isn't the best for everyone so if you're someone that feels like you want to have that more stable reliable income I think promoting a product that gives you recurring commissions is a lot easier for beginner because it's just a lot more stable and I'll give have an example here like this product right here I haven't promoted it for a few months you can see today is September 5th and you can see all kinds of recurring commissions that are coming in I mean a hundred dollars two dollars another hundred dollars down here forty seven dollars twenty three dollars ten dollars right this is all coming in just today and like I said I have not promoted this product in a few months right if I do that with a high ticket product that would not happen because most of these sales these commissions that you just saw coming in from this product right are clients that signed up months ago some even years ago and I continue getting those recurring commissions each and every month so guys don't think you just have to promote in the make money Niche don't think you have to resell someone else's course that you just took and you know be an affiliate for them don't think you just have to promote High ticket products right again there's so many affiliate programs out there there's so many different niches out there just to show you some examples here like this Niche is around just power tools right all they talk about is power tools that you can buy on Amazon and obviously he's not promoting High ticket products these are lower ticket products you know two three hundred dollars uh physical items but he's making a killing promoting these right because he's in a specific Niche he's providing value to people uh same thing with this channel they're doing like all kinds of gift ideas under a hundred dollars and obviously these aren't High ticket products these are physical products they're getting lower commission rates but I guarantee you this channel getting this many views is making you know a nice multiple six figure per year income um you can see I have another Niche that I promote in called Chad's trade this is all around day trading and again in this Niche I'm promoting a recurring software that pays me recurring commissions it's making me decent money again guys there's so many niches out there there's so many different products out there you want to find something that not only will you know it'll make you a full-time income it has the ability to because other people are and you can see those examples but also something you have some kind of Interest or experience in I think is just as important as well by the way guys if you're struggling about niches and products again and this is going to be you have to promote products on ClickBank to make money and the reason why a lot of gurus talk about ClickBank I've been guilty of this myself I have videos on ClickBank and I don't think ClickBank is a bad Network there are some good products on there but here's the truth right most people make videos on ClickBank because they get a lot of views right people like ClickBank for some reason I mean it's a decent network but I think it's very overhyped for how many people watch videos on it how many people make videos on it and it kind of misleads beginners into thinking that's the only place they they can promote products right me personally I have students that make a killing on ClickBank they make over a thousand dollars per day I've made a decent amount of money on ClickBank promoting different products and different niches but I'll tell you one thing the majority of the amount of money I made and this is true for most other Affiliates I know that don't even have YouTube channels or anything like that usually they're not promoting products on ClickBank right so usually they're promoting independent affiliate programs uh so these are just companies that have an affiliate program that you sign up for that you start promoting one example I have here is a software called builderall they have an awesome affiliate program they pay you know 30 recurring commissions on two tiers for their software tools another example of a product I promote inside my day trading Niche is a company called Apex Trader funding and this is an awesome company that pays out recurring commissions every single month and they have an awesome product an awesome platform an awesome selling point and again if you were to try to find a trading product because this is um this product I promote on my Trading Channel that I just showed you if I were to try to find a trading product on ClickBank I would not feel comfortable promoting it right I would not feel ethical promoting it because I've never found value out of any of those products I never use any of those products myself so usually the best products to promote are products that you've actually used that you actually believe in and more specifically companies that you know will be around for the next 10 20 years you know you can't always say that about ClickBank products I don't know if a random product on ClickBank is going to be around for the next 10 years right so that's my main issue with ClickBank I think it's a decent affiliate program um you know to get started to maybe make your first few sales maybe to prove to yourself that affiliate marketing works or just you know get some experience in until you really figure out what that core product you want to promote is all right so the fourth law I want to go over you hear this all the time you probably hear this 20 times a day and this is that anyone can do it now technically yes right anyone can go sign up for an affiliate program they can get an affiliate link they can send it to someone they can have someone click on it and if they buy the product right they're going to make a commission technically anyone can do that as long as you have a laptop and a Wi-Fi connection but what I do think is misleading for beginners in that statement is you know keeping in mind that it may not be the best fit for everyone right there might be a different business model that's the best fit for you I'm not someone to say that I think affiliate marketing everyone should do it it's the best business model out there right while I do think it's an awesome business model it's gonna be around for the next 10 20 years I've made millions of dollars from affiliate marketing myself so obviously I have a bias towards it but again it may not be the best fit for you so you have to understand that if you want to make it in affiliate marketing especially as it gets more competitive over time you need to understand in order to you know make a lot of money with affiliate marketing and make it your career you absolutely have to master these two things okay what these two things are is number one creating content being able to generate leads right get people on an email list in a certain Niche who are all interested in a certain topic right whatever that Niche may be and the second thing is write emails right learn how to write copy that sells this way you can actually promote the products recommend the products uh give value to the list those are the only two things that matter in affiliate marketing getting leads and converting leads into sales and basically that just means creating content right this is how you get leads online nowadays and learn copywriting right learning how to write emails craft emails and actually recommend products to those leads that you're building up so you have to realize if you feel like you suck at those two things you'll never be able to learn how to do those two things then affiliate marketing may not be for you right maybe you're better off being more of a freelance worker maybe you're better off working with clients maybe you're more better off you know starting a local window washing business right whatever it may be right we all have different personalities we all have different strengths and weaknesses but if you feel like you have some interest in those two things and you're willing to try you're willing to learn you're willing to you know do everything you can to make it happen and you have that mindset then you probably will make it with affiliate marketing if you give it enough time so again what I'm trying to say here is figure out if affiliate marketing is something you truly want to do for the next 10 plus years all right line number five this is my favorite one every time I see this I kind of just laugh because it's so silly right and this is going to be you don't need a website or an email list to make a full-time income with affiliate marketing now if you don't have an email list or a website and you're trying to do affiliate marketing you will not have a business right and I'll give an example of this okay when I first started making good money with affiliate marketing one of the things I started doing was I started doing Facebook ads so I was running a Facebook ad to a landing page on that landing page I was not collecting emails to an affiliate link and I make money okay this was working I had some ads that were doing really well that went viral I was getting clicks for super super cheap and basically what I was doing is I was spending 200 and I was making 700 back I was profiting you know four or five hundred bucks the day doing this right now this went on for a couple weeks and at the time this is more money than I ever made in my life I was 19 at the time I was like man this is awesome this is genius right so anyways one day I wake up I was doing this for a few weeks and my Facebook ad account got shut down right and all of a sudden I went from making four or five hundred bucks per day and profit to zero right absolute zero because I wasn't building an asset okay you got to understand the way people get rich the way people get wealthy The Way businesses build their revenue up is they acquire assets right they build up assets and as Affiliates we have to build digital assets right we can't buy businesses we can't buy real estate we can't buy software companies right all the things that you know bigger businesses do we have to have digital assets that's the only kind of assets we can have as affiliate marketers and these are things like an email list the most important digital asset in my opinion Instagram accounts YouTube channels Facebook groups Tick Tock account ounce Facebook accounts right if you actually build those assets right maybe it's an audience maybe it's an email list maybe it's a Facebook group that you're building up you will always be able to get traffic you will always be able to send people to an offer to a product that you're recommending and be able to make commissions right I know if I want to make at least three thousand dollars for now I would simply write an email to my list and send it to 15 000 people and I know you know one percent of those people are gonna buy a certain percentage of those people are going to buy and I can make three thousand dollars right now again that's only because I have an asset right so that's the whole thing I focus on in my affiliate marketing business I really care about anything else right I just want to build my email list my main digital asset as big as I possibly can that's the most important thing to me because I know that's what's going to keep on making me money month after month after month and if you want to do affiliate marketing I'm guessing you want to do it long term right the worst thing you can do is make a bunch of money with affiliate marketing real quick and then quit your job right awesome and then all of a sudden your income dies to zero and you have to go get another job and you know redo this whole entire process right that almost happened to me luckily I was able to get myself out of it so again please ignore this lie of you don't need a website or email list it's the most important thing in affiliate marketing in fact the only point the website is to build an email list so anyways guys I hope you enjoyed this video These are the five most common lies I see in this affiliate marketing space let me know any other
