in this video i'm going to talk to you about the four phases for creating an automatic sales system so this sales system is great for any type of content creator and so what it's going to do is take you from just creating content to then creating content and having people automatically be able to consume that content and get basically pitched products that is going to end up making you money if you are still struggling with coming up with content ids you can get my content planner workbook and the link in the description below so a lot of people when they get started you may go and hear about email marketing you may hear about content sales sequences all of these things and this may cause you to put off doing a lot of things or put off doing anything until you have everything in place and so in this video today i want to walk you through the four phases you should go through so this is going to each phase is going to build on each other so that even from the very beginning of you creating content or if you haven't started any of this yet starting now you can start building up to where you can automatically be making sales and you're going to do it one step at a time so phase one is having content and having some form of email opt-in so whenever you're creating content you want to be able to pull people from whatever platform you are creating content on whether that be youtube instagram twitter blogs anything and be able to get their emails at least so that you can send them email communication so that if every single platform went out you would still be able to contact the people on your email list and let them know where they can found you and in the future let them know what they can buy to help support you and you can easily create this on something like convertkit for completely free so that's where i started my business at was on convertkit and i had um just an opt-in and my first opt-in um i had a lead magnet which was my grad school productivity workbook it was like a workbook to help people work through like how to become more productive but there's so many different opt-ins that you can have if you really can't think of any lead magnet to give just have a keep up with me or get to know me better or whatever and just make it an opt-in and you don't have to give anything to them as an incentive for opting in if you can't think of anything right now just start with that have a if you want to follow me closer or if you want to get updates from me put your email below and just start there if you want to take that just one step further create some form of lead magnet this just incentivizes people to give you their email so this can be something like just a checklist um you know a guide so now my most common lead magnets is my scientific research paper checklist and then my 30-day research jumpstart guide so think back to if you are a beginning person in whatever space you're in if you're a beginning person what is the first steps you would take in whatever you're doing and then write that up in a pdf no more than one or two hours spent on it and put it up into convertkit as an as a lead magnet so that whenever they give you their email address they're then going to get this guide you can also have quizzes and if you're selling any form of physical products you can literally just have a coupon that you give so you can have a 10 off coupon if they give you your email they'll get this 10 off coupon in the future so that's the first phase it's just to be putting out content and then to have some form of opt-in so that people who watch your content can know that they can give you their email address and they're going to get something from that now you also want to make sure that you are mentioning whatever lead magnet you have in your video so if you're doing videos about your products say if you want 10 off your first purchase you can sign up for a coupon visit this link you know just like i did at the beginning of this video if you're struggling with your content you can get my content planner that's how you're going to give me your email and then i'm going to be able to send you updates about the videos we're putting out and other things to help you grow your business that is phase one you can do this in one to two hours and that is all you need to do to get started so once you've done that the next phase is you're going to move into his face too and so the only thing we want to add at this point is we just want you to actually start sending out broadcasts to your email list about once a week is really good and so if you're putting out content on a weekly schedule just send them an email a week and say hey i just want to let you know here's this piece of content i put out here's what i talk about on it here's how you can see it so you're just kind of keeping them updated you may be talking to them about things you can help with them with fears that they may be facing if you don't put out content on a weekly schedule you can just do a real quick checking in email or something to that effect a newsletter something like that this can actually be really really simple so if you are on um my business science grad school coach you get a weekly email for me and it's really simple it's maybe one to two paragraphs and then three bullet points about what my content is covering and so it's just basically the reason i created the content and then below i put what the contents covering and i send that out every single week and so this is just keeping me in touch with the people who are following me and allowing them to be stay updated on what i'm creating so that's all we're doing to move from phase one into phase two is we're just starting to what a lot of people call nurture on our audience by giving them free um information on hopefully a weekly basis through email so making sure we're appearing in their inboxes and they're not going to forget about us so this is like incredibly easy right like you may spend 15 to 30 minutes on an email a week and one to two hours in the beginning to set up the sale system now we haven't even attempted to sell anything yet in phase 2. this is all to help us build our audience and so once we build up our audience then we can start selling things to them that are actually going to help them so phase three of this automated sales system is to create a sales sequence that is going to make you money in some way and so if you have no products that are your own you can do affiliate products you can lead them to content that will pay you through ads you can if you do have your own products then you can sell that product and so you can do something as simple as a single email where they you know sign in to your lead mag or they give you your email for their for your lead magnet you send them the lean magnet immediately and then the next day you go hey saw that you signed up for this sleep magnet here's this product that i think is going to be really helpful for you you can expand that all the way up to a five to seven day sequence so i currently have a five day sequence that really walks through um how to get to know me and then i talk to them about struggles that they face related to their lead magnet miss they may have heard and then i spend two emails telling them um what they could get in the courses that i have on my science grad school coach channel and so that's just the next step is to now have an email sequence that is automated that once they sign up they can then get this email sequence i will say on almost any carrier once you're getting to this point because you have these automations in place this is when you will actually have to start paying to for an email list server so if you're on convertkit if you want to send out an email sequence you have to pay for convertkit if you are just sending out broadcast or just accepting email addresses you do not have to pay so you can do phase one and phase two completely free and then whenever you get started into phase three this is when you're actually potentially gonna have to start paying but this is also when you should be making money whether that's through affiliate income whether that's through some form of adsense or if that is through um selling your own products the fourth phase of this system is to expand that out one step further to where now you have multiple ways of making money through your sequence probably the most popular way of doing this is to have one sequence that the call to action is to buy one product and then to let them know maybe a week later or a couple weeks later is to start letting them know about other products that they could buy that are going to make you money so this could again be affiliate products or your own products or sending them to specific content that would make you money as well is another way to do this so even if you have no products available you can still go through all four phases of this system without any of your own products by sharing affiliate products that you know are really going to help the people who signed up for your email list so i really hope this is helpful i will have links below to convertkit if you are interested in getting started with that just to create your first opt-in at least and if not to be able to start creating out your whole first email sequence i will have that and i will also have a link to a 30-day free trial on kajabi um which is where i now host my email um all of my email stuff as well so um if you're interested in that as well if you were just getting started out if you are in phase one or phase two of creating this sequence please go for convertkit and not kajabi um kajabi is a lot more a month but it isn't worth paying if you're just getting started out with building up your email list again don't forget to download the content planner if you are working on planning out your content because
