How to create outlook signature
hi welcome to my channel today i will show you how to easily export csv results from sql without the need of any reporting software nor buying any license please support my channel by subscribing to it to get more sql videos i have a request from my client to export his daily sales to a csv as my client does not want to buy sql reports license i had to find an alternative over here i have a simple select statement for my daily sales just remember to convert your date columns to type date to avoid time comparison if i run the statement it would show me my daily sales report as of today i decided to use sql command to fulfill my client's request i created a batch file on the hard drive that runs the sql command let's see the command and run the batch file over here is my command it takes some parameters so you start with sql command then your server name my database on my local drive so it's localhost then your database name then if it's a trusted connection meaning the windows user running the command you can as well change this to a parameter using a username and password then a parameter that holds my query here is my query the same one i ran on ssms and then what is my separator i use the comma and then what is my output file and this is the path to my output file let's run the batch file once i run the batch file it creates my csv file here are my results if you want to automate running the batch file you can easily create a task scheduler that runs the file based on your customers request so you can change the frequency to run it once or twice a day i will post the sql command in my description together with a link to microsoft help document about the sql command please remember to watch my other videos and subscribe to my channel thanks for watching
