content will include a look at opportunity management with relationship manager there is also more content about BC located on the Sikich YouTube channel so please allow me to introduce you to business central relationship manager the role-based architecture allows for different dashboards to be created this layout is geared for our sales and relationship manager so that the right information is presented to the right person at the right time these graphics are real time and drillable I can personalize this experience to include as much or as little data as I see fit users can add and subtract columns without impacting the functionality of business central communication with your customers is a critical piece of the sales process as companies grow the contact list grows and so do the number of activities that need to be managed this means adding people or adding tools to meet this need Microsoft certainly offers a full-blown CRM tool and they offer relationship manager inside of business central to meet the needs of the firms that aren't quite ready to jump into a full-blown CRM product relationship manager builds the foundation and discipline for the future when a more comprehensive CRM product is required business central organizes contacts as companies or people to retain visibility at both levels the contact card is organized in a way very similar to a recipe box there is promoted information that is visible at all times if I drill into that information I could see a little more detail about this particular contact and there is one more level which is information that may not be useful for every transaction but it is information that is still being captured by business central the profile questionnaire fast tab is where you get to record specific data about the contact this can be completed by your customer service team the sales team even delivery drivers this is a list of all the questions that you would ask for this type of contact we can see that several of the check boxes have been marked as completed and as time goes on we will complete more there are also different questionnaires for different types of contact these questionnaires include enough information to allow us to share this data with the entire organization this not only provides one version of the truth but it also creates continuity and tasks can be set up for each individual contact these tasks are assigned and become part of the dashboard for your users opportunities inside of relationship manager will be covered in a future recording details added here will create the assignment and set due dates for this task if this needs to happen more than once we can set recurrence options business central also creates an interaction log this log tracks all the activities that have occurred with this particular contact this includes communications statements sales activities and service activities let's take a look at a new one here is where additional details are captured to complete the story there is one more area that I would like to show you today remember that profile questionnaire this is where you get to make groups of contacts the idea is to group those contacts together to create targeted marketing campaigns reporting activities or even to create lists to export to a third party the idea is that different criteria can be applied to create a group and that is what's called a segment now this segment can have different interactions there can be different opportunities or campaigns attached to this particular segment BC will track the activity and attach cost if you see fit the final question for today is how does all of this tie together how do you connect your contacts your campaigns your opportunities your sales quotes and sales orders in business central this connection is created because there are fields designed specifically to track those activities when we look at opportunities in a future video you'll see how an opportunity can be attached to a sales quote and as that sales quote is converted into an order and ultimately to an invoice all that activity is connected so that a true ROI can be
