sometimes cold calls are not going to cut it cold emails are not going to be opened you have to do something that is unique different a bit crazy and creative to break through and grab the attention of a prospect to book a meeting I did just that in a previous sales role crazy creative sales prospecting strategy that landed me 17 meetings with prospects and had a 40 conversion rate to a meeting in this video I'm about to show you guys it's a throwback video on this channel one of the First videos we ever shared on this channel I share with you what that strategy is what's going on guys Matt McNamara here with another video it's Monday I'm at my office in downtown Philadelphia and for today's video we're going to Showcase a business that has been helping me set meetings in Center City through creative and fun prospecting Outreach if you're not having fun at be creative in your Outreach you're not going to last in sales we're going to cut on over to a company that's been helping us out all right guys so we're in Suburban Station right now right below my office we're heading to Tiffany's Bakery Tiffany's Bakery helps us by creating customized cupcakes to get meetings with tough to reach prospects if you're not doing stuff like this you're not going to stand out and be different you have to get very creative with your Outreach phone calls are great emails are great notes are great but you have to do cupcakes you have to send customized Flags we've done stuff like that in order to get in touch with these decision makers so we're going to stop in over here pick up cupcakes for the magic director of a law firm downtown and we'll follow up with a phone call later this week and almost all of these I would say it's about 100 contact rate it's not 100 meeting rate but they'll at least take my call and I'll get timing a lot of them do meet with us we set two meetings last week from these cupcakes so it's right here in Suburban Station and let's pick them up and they taste really good too they're awesome hey Dawn how are you foreign [Music] I'll probably order some more sometime next week too awesome thank you Dawn [Music] so we just picked these cupcakes off now we're about to drop them off at this business so it's my goal not to be like every other sales rep so I'm always thinking what can I do to get my foot in the door of the business these cupcakes are great I've done several different things sent several different Outreach to get my foot in the door these companies and this is what you have to do you have to be different phone calls are great emails are great letters are great but what's going to stand out these cupcakes are going to stand out the customized flag is going to stand out heck I sent this one president of the company a Pez she was a Pez collector and she put on Twitter all of her pez's in her Star Wars collection she was missing one of the Pez sent her the Pez got her on the phone the next day so this is the kind of things you have to do if you guys are having trouble coming up with creative ideas I'm always thinking creatively give me a call I'll put my number in the description and looking forward to uh hearing for you guys definitely like And subscribe too these cupcakes were really cool they were awesome to drop off at businesses as I mentioned 40 conversion rate so if I dropped off 100 cupcakes boxes of cupcakes to 100 businesses I would book 40 meetings I could put my face on the cupcakes I could put the prospect's face I could put messages company logos they were all edible it was an experience for the prospect every other salesperson who was reaching out to these prospects was cold calling and they weren't doing a good job of it because they probably weren't watching these videos and they were cold emailing they weren't doing stuff like this now was I all around Philadelphia dropping off cupcakes every single day to hundreds of businesses no because things like this being creative crazy and unique it is an investment these cupcakes were not free so I was only dropping these cupcakes off at my A-list accounts companies I really really wanted to break into grab their attention and get a meeting to see if we're a fit to work together I wasn't dropping these off at my b list and c-list accounts let me know what you think in the comment section Below have you used a strategy like this a crazy creative strategy to book meetings with prospects let me know in the comment section below and check out this video right here of a few other strategies you could use today to book meetings with prospects that don't involve you picking up that phone and cold calling thanks for watching guys we appreciate you
