in this video you will learn how to create a new block and create a new event for the block to create a new Block in Opera Cloud go to bookings blocks and then select manage block click the I want to menu now click block to create a new block on the create block screen you can Define the block details and add the room and Catering details in this example because I'm logged into a hub I must select a property I select the property from the list and then click select next I select the account magnifying glass to find an existing account on the manage profile screen I can find an account and contact name for a company travel agent or Source profile and connect it to the block I can click the I want to menu to create a new contact profile for a company travel agent or Source in this example I enter the name Oracle and click search to find the account now I can see a list of accounts and related contacts when I select an account on the left and click search the related contacts appear to the right I can select a contact from the list choose to create a new contact or account from the I want to menu or select the vertical ellipse to create a new linked contact in this example I select the account Oracle Corporation Dash IDC and click search now I can select the related contact from the list of related contacts now I can scroll down to select the option to select only the account or to select both the highlighted account and contact from The Columns in this example I scroll down to select both the account and contact now I see the account contact block name and the block ID are filled in the account name automatically fills in the block name I can edit any of this information as needed next I check the catering only option the rooms details section is hidden when this option is selected because rooms are not part of the block if this is a catering only event I continue by entering the required information that's noted in red to create the block next I'll click the magnifying glass to select the room status in this example I select inquiry from the list and click select next I'll click the market magnifying glass and select the Group corporate Market code from the list and then click select next I select Source magnifying glass to select catering as the source for this block and then click select in the catering details section I must enter the number of event attendees to activate the options related to events in this example I'll enter 50 attendees you must click outside the attendees field to activate the next options I can see the room grid option is not active because previously I selected catering only for this block I can enter any additional information for this block and then I can select an option save save and manage block save and create an event save and add template or save and add a catering package for this example I'll select the option to save and create an event now I can enter the required event details I'll select the event type magnifying glass and select breakfast from the list then click select when I select the event type the event name is automatically populated with the name breakfast if needed I can edit the name for this event type the events start and end times begin with 8 AM and end with 9 am I will change the start time to 9am and the end time to 11 am for this event next I'll scroll down to select an option I can choose to select the option to save and create another event save and manage event or save in this example I'll click save now I can see the new event created for this block ID I can click the plus sign to view the block overview or I can click the I want to menu for more options related to this block and this event I can also click the event details link to edit or add details to this event or I can click the I want to menu for options related to this event foreign [Music]
