How to create outlook signature
Email marketing is one of the easiest ways to earn passive income through affiliate marketing. But in order to be successful, you first need an email list. In this video, I’ll show you how to use the OptinMonster WordPress plugin to create campaigns that transform your site's traffic into email subscribers. But first, a quick note - this video is actually part three in a three-part collaboration series with our friends at WPBeginner and SeedProd. Part one can be found on the WPBeginner channel, and part two can be found over on SeedProd’s channel. You can find links to those videos in the description below. Now, let’s get started. So, why is building an email list so important? Well, that’s because it’s reliable. SEO is great until Google changes its algorithm and your rankings tank. Paid ads can bring quick results if you have the budget to fail your way upwards. And even then, paid ads require constant care and attention to keep conversion rates high. But your email list is traffic that’s always yours. Plus, it’s full of people who have an interest in your niche and have already engaged with your content. That means they’ll make for an excellent audience for your affiliate marketing campaigns. Here’s the ONLY problem with email marketing: most people struggle to grow their contact list to the point where monetization makes sense. Did you know that most websites capture less than one email for every 200 visitors? That's a conversion rate of only 0.5%. So, how do we up that conversion rate and start generating more leads? That’s where OptinMonster comes in. You can create targeted and personalized opt-in campaigns that can be leveraged for a wide range of purposes. In other words, we help you get the right offer in front of the right people at exactly the right time so you can start turning your traffic into leads. That way, you can continue to market your offers and products as you nurture the relationship over time. Alright, so without further ado, let’s head over to our WordPress site and take a look at OptinMonster. Thanks to Christina from WPBeginner and Chris at SeedProd, we now have our WordPress website set up and our affiliate marketing site completely built using SeedPod’s theme builder. First, we need to and activate the OptinMonster plugin which is available for download from the WordPress plugin repository. From the site’s admin panel, navigate to the Add New screen from the Plugins menu. Search for "OptinMonster" and select the Now button. Once installed, click Activate. Click Claim Your Free Account and answer a few questions about your website that will help us suggest the best OptinMonster features to match your needs. After you've answered those questions, click Create a Free Account. Alright, once you've signed up, you're ready to create your first opt-in campaign. To get started, select Add New. First, you’ll need to decide which campaign type you'd like to create. There are plenty of options with OptinMonster, including popups, floating bars, fullscreen welcome mats, inline campaigns, slide-ins, and gamified spin-to-win wheels. For our purposes today, I’ll go with the popup. Now, the best part is - OptinMonster comes with hundreds of templates, so you can find something that works for you and your website. These templates save you time, energy, and stress in creating the right campaign for your specific needs. Plus, they're all mobile-friendly and fully responsive. All you need to do is make a few customizations for your offer and message and you’ll be ready to publish your campaign and start collecting leads. For my purposes today, I’ll select the Basic template. It's a great way to get started if it's your first OptinMonster campaign. But keep in mind that you can select any option that will work best for YOUR brand. When you've found the perfect template, select Use Template and give your campaign a name. We recommend a descriptive name so you can easily find it on your dashboard later on. Then, click Start Building. Now we get into the real fun: designing your campaign. When you enter the builder to edit your campaign, you’ll first see the Design tab. This is where you can edit your campaign's text, images, fields, and other elements. The design tab consists of two main sections: the live preview and your selection of views on the right, and your view-related menu and settings on the left. The three views you can customize are Yes/No - which is optional and available on Plus or higher subscriptions and allows you to create a 2-step opt-in, the Optin view which is where you customize the form to collect your visitor’s information, and the Success view which is shown to visitors after they successfully complete the opt-in form. As you can see, the campaign could be good to go with just a few edits. And since our editor has inline editing and drag-and-drop capabilities, you don't need to know any code to design your campaign. For example, let's say we want to change the text here. All you have to do is click where you want to edit and type away. You can also change the font size, font family, font orientation, and so much more. With a Pro or higher subscription, you have the ability to insert smart tags. Smart tags allow you to add dynamic text to your campaigns - creating a more personalized experience for your visitors. Since we’ll be collecting the visitor’s name in the opt-in form, we can refer to the visitor by name in our thank you message here in the Success view. Little elements like this go a long way in building a relationship with your visitors. If you want to change other parts of your campaign, all you have to do is click an element in your campaign. For example, back on the opt-in view, you can click the opt-in form to customize the placeholder values for the fields. Notice that bar on the left-hand side of the screen? That is where you will find additional editing tools. You can also edit the button to customize the text and color. And speaking of colors, one of the first things I recommend that you do is set up your custom color profile library. You can do so by navigating to Settings, and then on the Advanced tab, select Custom Colors. You can add colors to your theme, and then save that theme to your Color Profile Library. Then, for future campaigns, all you need to do is load your color profile for quick and easy access. But what if what you have on the template isn't quite what you want? OptinMonster allows you to add pretty much anything else you may need, such as videos, icons, countdown timers, buttons, images, and more... Plus, if you are an HTML wizard, OptinMonster lets you add that too. Just drag and drop the element you want to add to the location you want to add it. And speaking of images, our Unsplash integration gives you seamless access to a huge library of high-quality, royalty-free images that you can instantly use in your campaigns. And, to save even more time, you can use our Saved Blocks feature to save individual blocks in your campaign that you can then reuse in other campaigns. Being able to create, customize, and save content gives you 100% control over the look, style, and functionality of your campaign. That way, you can tailor it to YOUR audience and never risk leaving conversions on the table. Alright, now that we’ve got the right offer, let’s set the triggers for the right time and place for our offer to appear. So, let’s navigate to Display Rules. Let's take a minute and think of the target audience for this campaign. Which of your visitors do you want to convert into leads? After all, getting this campaign in front of the right audience is a big step towards converting your traffic. OptinMonster's display rules are a powerful way to do just that. There are many options to trigger your campaign, but let's just go over a few of the most popular ones. Our exit-intent technology helps you recover abandoning visitors as they are about to leave your site. Our page-level targeting lets you customize your campaigns based on the page or section of your website. Our geo-location targeting lets you personalize campaigns based on the visitor’s location. And our onsite retargeting keeps visitors engaged by showing fresh offers to returning users. These are only a handful of OptinMonster's targeting rules. There are many others you can use to customize your targeting needs. Using AND and OR operators, you can create as simple or as complex rulesets as you need. By default, OptinMonster has two rules in place: the time on the page is at least 5 seconds and the current URL path is any page. Now, this is a good starting point, but I’ll tweak these a bit to fit my needs. I want to show my campaign to engaged readers of my blog posts and I’ve done a little digging in my Google Analytics and discovered that my average time-on-page is right at about three minutes. Given that, I want to create a rule that targets my readers who have been on the page for at least two minutes. So I’ll set my time on page rule to “is at least” 120 seconds. Alright, this is good, but I’ll take it one step further. I’ll add an OR rule to my time-on-page rule - this time selecting Scroll Distance and setting “is at least,” “80%.” Next, I’ll delete the current URL path rule here. Since I’m using the WordPress plugin, I’ll have the option to set this detail on the Output Settings screen when I publish my campaign. Alright, this looks good. Now before we move on, I quickly want to point out that I can save this ruleset for import and use in other campaigns. And I can view and manage my rulesets by selecting Manage Rulesets. In the next step, I can add animation and sound effects to my campaign to draw extra attention. These options are available if you have a Plus or higher subscription. And finally, I can confirm I’ve set up my rules correctly in the Summary screen. Alright, everything looks good, so now it’s time to connect my email service provider, so I’ll head over to Integrations. One thing to remember before you start your campaign is that you need to have an email service provider ready to go. After all, you need somewhere to send your leads! OptinMonster integrates with all the major players. To get started, select Add New Integration and then select your service provider from the drop-down menu. OptinMonster will walk you through how to connect with any provider on the list, so the guesswork is taken care of for you. The New Integration wizard will ask you for the information it needs to connect your campaign to your provider. For most of them, you will just need to copy and paste the API key from your provider to finish the setup. If OptinMonster needs any other information to integrate with your email service, it will prompt you, and we’ve also provided instructions on how to connect your specific provider if needed. But if you don't see your service provider on the list, there's no need to worry. Just refer to our helpful article that walks you through how to connect OptinMonster to ANY email provider with webhooks. Check the description for a link to that article. But what if you don't have a provider yet or you want to create a backup list for added security? For that, you can set up Monster Leads, which is our in-house lead storage system. This allows you to get started gathering leads and is a great backup to your email service provider. Many of our customers connect with their email service provider and Monster Leads at the same time. This sends their leads directly to their email provider so they can automate their email marketing strategy. But they also have a backup list stored with OptinMonster, just in case. Alright, now let’s head over to Analytics. If desired, you can connect your campaign to Google Analytics for more advanced analytics data. Simply click Connect and OptinMonster will walk you through the setup. OptinMonster Analytics will automatically track basic analytics data such as impressions, conversions, and highest converting pages. Simply click View Analytics to see the stats for this campaign. Well, now all that’s left to do is publish the campaign so let’s head over to the Publish tab. In the Publish tab, we can preview the campaign and double-check and test the display rules. If everything looks good, click Publish, and then Save. Now we close the campaign builder to head back to WordPress. Remember earlier when we were setting up our display rules and I said we’d be able to set the page details on the Output Settings screen? We can do that now. Under Show on Post Types and Archives, I’ll select Single Posts. This will ensure that my campaign will only show on my blog posts, which is what I want. Now, I just need to ensure that my campaign is set to Published under Visibility & Status, and then select Save Changes. And that’s it! My campaign is now converting my website visitors into email subscribers. Please let me know in the comments below what your favorite part of this collaboration series was, and what topics you’d like us to tackle next. I would really like to hear from you and please subscribe to the channel for more tips and tricks on using OptinMonster. I hope you’ve enjoyed this series as much as I’ve enjoyed working on it with our friends over at WPBeginner and SeedProd. Just use the code OMVIDEOS during checkout for a discount on your purchase of OptinMonster. Thanks for watching!
