of customer relationship management technologies into the financial services application and decision making process if you're not from financial services im group build solutions for a variety of different customers in different industries and there may well be something in this presentation for you in terms of the work that we do to help innovate and drive best-in-class relationship management using microsoft dynamics crm so thanks for your time let's move on and start to look at the capabilities we have in this area and in general so beginning with our capabilities and our various specialized practices i am group information management group is really about the handling of information that is what we do it is our corporate dna so to begin with we view data as a currency of the of the digital economy and the ability of people to work that data into information a measure of the asset value that information represents we have a series of capabilities and specialized practices that help our customers get the most out of information as an asset and that's really what we're looking at here so to begin with right at the top we have specialized practices in financial services including risk analytics real-time risk reporting trading risk and risk orchestration icp and solvency ii solutions more broadly in the business intelligence space and the performance management space we work with organizations of a variety of different sectors to deliver horizontal capability and information management to help them make the most of that asset in their in their organizations we have sharepoint practice and capability that focuses on delivering enterprise content management and portals we have a relationship management practice that i head up and which we'll be focusing on today we deliver advanced analytics for our customers which is again a part as i say of this passion and this focus that we have to help organizations realize the full asset value of their data and lastly we have an application management practice so we build solutions for people which we deliver on premise we run solutions for people uh with our hosting partners and increasingly we're embracing cloud and online technologies to help our customers get the best of both worlds using their existing microsoft and third-party technologies as well as microsoft's investment in online services to give them a blend of the investments they've already made and the choices that are now available to them in market as a for example for instance we're working with one of the uk's leading insurance businesses to help them rebuild and re-platform their e-commerce engines off legacy web farm servers and onto microsoft's azure this is the type of project and investment that we expect to see a great deal more of and something that we're really excited about as we help our customers in the market at large take advantage of the investments they've already made and the the choice and the benefits of cloud computing so let's move on and look at relationship management itself so crm as a technology is not new the technology and the the principle and the benefits to business have been around for probably 20 years or so but in our opinion they've never been as important as they are today the economic challenges that we've been working through in business and in the public sector over the course of the last three years remain and the importance of managing relationships with not only our customers but our suppliers our partners and the stakeholders in the organizations that we work with would be they private sector bodies be they public sector bodies best in class management of those relationships is fundamental and it's more important now than it has ever been im group builds solutions to address these problems and dynamics crm from microsoft is uniquely placed as a platform to help us do that so we take microsoft dynamics crm and the other capabilities that we have to deliver end-to-end solutions where the importance of the relationship is surfaced in the application that we build alongside other components that are relevant to a given customer need so one
