so when me and shanita were talking yesterday shanita said that she kind of identified six areas that we need systems for in our firms and those are prospecting engagements onboarding workflow termination and annual renewals um so shanita i think i'll turn it over to you and let you um open this up and we'll just talk about it okay so when we talk systems and accounting world it seems that we're only talking about workflow systems and i see should i use assignments should i use jetpack should i use pascal should i use um pluto should i use quickbooks work and if so many more other systems out there those are just some of the ones i toyed around but we talked about um systems and we only think about workflow so right now for myself i'm relooking everything in my firm and how we do things who's doing things and who we're doing with it for so i said what better place to start in the beginning so let's start from the prospecting and um we've begun to do that so of course we have our lead magnet we had intentionally effectively reduced the amount of calls that we had booked we did we took this advice we did not decrease our aspen but instead we just limited who can book when how long we'll talk to them um if we'll talk to them so on and so forth so i think we should have a system um as far as how we're going to do prospecting are we doing webinars are we doing facebook are we doing instagram are we doing paid traffic are we doing organic traffic are we um in groups just one-on-one i call that hand-in-hand combat well the strategy that ben teaches at mdf when um when you know how he teaches us to go into the groups and i've made most of my money by just doing most of the free things well no i i can't lie i when i started spending nfs i probably more but um i made a great deal of money just doing hand-in-hand on the ground combat providing value all that good stuff so even with that i think you should like literally take a sheet of paper um or a whiteboard um that one is taller than me um and i think you should lay out all the different avenues of how you're going to prospect for clients and then i'm a visual person um and then in those prospectings maybe say okay i'm gonna do a long facebook post and this is something else that ben talks about in million dollar firms i'm gonna do the long order post i'm gonna do the short post i'm gonna post i'm gonna make a meme i've seen accountants that are making memes that are um funny and silly and we need funny and silly right now um as a nation we need to laugh so whatever your things are and you know what guess what everything you do is not going to work most of the things you probably are going to do aren't going to work but one thing or two things or a few things that you are going to do they're going to work extremely well but you won't know what they are until you try and you won't know which works better than which unless you measure and there's no way for you to measure unless you've clearly identified and separated what you want to do you
