[Music] we should always do at least some research before we make a call to a target account but we don't have to spend 30 minutes diving into every article about them the priorities are to have a general idea of what they do as a business and find a reason for your call at the very least we should have the clients website in front of us before we make the call so we can react if we need to ideally we have a few minutes to look at their website or LinkedIn profile to find something to talk about I usually go to the news and events section and skim through press releases within the past six months and look for quotes or different triggers first if I don't find anything there I go to the about Us section to see if I can find their mission or goals and then if I don't find anything there I go to their LinkedIn profile to see if I can find something about their specific roles and responsibilities or something in their background I can reference if I can't find anything in those three places in less than five minutes I move on make it happen [Music]
