construction project budgets and i always follow several key steps i use historical data and experience from similar projects to determine any lessons learned for example in a previous role i was able are in my network just a simple phone call to a colleague in a different organization can save me hours worth of research and time i would then assess the various costs both fixed and transient for consultation fees travel accommodation raw materials suppliers contractors and license fees for software tools that might be used during the project other costs include telephone office space and equipment administrative fees outsources and insurance now once i have determined the costs i will double check the figures to confirm their accuracy and then determine the baseline budget now the baseline budget is likely to change as the project progresses and it will need to be revisited regularly throughout the construction project it would also be my intention to use software tools that allow the project budget to be updated in real time now by following these simple steps it allows me to build solid foundations for which the construction project can be managed and delivered that's
