[Music] [Music] i've been working with bible faith lutheran churches and especially with the mariah school for about a year and a half we became very interested in helping the school to acquire more resources and to offer them resources from the us as much as we can especially to assist with english the second initiative that i've been working on was is to help raise funds and purchase and have equipment and materials for learning teacher supplies for an early childhood education center at mariah school we have decided to help encourage english to be taught from the very beginning of their school years to offer more opportunities for the students as they grow through the school year [Music] my role is totally volunteer having visited a couple of times and become have become very interested in just seeing children have more opportunities such beautiful children and they come from homes and and an economic level that just doesn't offer them the best opportunities in life so i've been volunteering just with coordinating other volunteers bringing more on board to try and help offer resources offer advice from other educators and just seeking out whatever area we could help when coordinating volunteers it's difficult to manage anybody else's time and so we're always just waiting on the next thing that happens to develop and to bring people along wonderful volunteers that have come along this side have made things really happen in a great way and it's just coordinating the the efforts of everybody to make sure that we're all on the same page [Music] afternoons has helped bring our volunteers together through communication system where we can post to the whole committee and it just goes to everyone at one time we can post files that we need to each look at and comment on and it offers just a variety of ways that we can share information back and forth [Music] one of the things that has really helped is to bring all of donors and prospective donors addresses back into one database so that we could communicate and it's also identified by what they're doing so we can send a communication out to donors specifically or to potential donors or to a committee use the email campaign system the messaging system to automate that process and just storing all of the information for each person that we are connected to makes it possible for just a variety of easy to handle communications [Music] i think the value that we are receiving from the ability to send out campaigns very easily with this donor list has already proven itself to be valuable but we are so early in the stages of fundraising development and as we move along i can see that is going to be just the best system ever to continue to do rollouts of campaigns and communicate just to be able to communicate with people [Music] the commitment by afternoons to serve others in helping us to serve others has been very valuable it's an inspiration to have a company that is really dedicated to helping the nonprofits to succeed it's it's difficult to be a non-profit and not have a lot of funds to support what needs to be done so the efforts that they are making to make it affordable has been very valuable [Music] interactions with the staff at afnetz has been very easy very quick responses either by email or by phone calls or zoom calls they're just really available almost any time of the day or night and have been very responsive and always gotten back to me for the information i need the criteria that was really important in deciding on the afnet system was that it was integrated throughout you could choose multiple systems and choosing the ones that allowed us to do an email campaign or a fundraising campaign was made easy because of the database capability that is there for use for many different reasons it's not limited and everything is in one place so it ties together and has so many options being available to the committees on the board and having their own little spot where they can communicate or communicating with everybody who's connected [Music] i recommend afnest for small organizations as ours is and as it grows it'll be adequate for the future and will be even more beneficial once we begin to use the other areas of the system that we aren't quite at yet it's really great to have an association with afness which is an organization that's already integrated and allows us to grow with the software and the software to grow with us [Music]
