hey friends it's kyle welcome to hubspot's product youtube channel we've done a couple of videos looking at deal customization today we're going to look at the most advanced form of deal customization with workflows let's hop right in let's imagine you want a world where a deal can't be moved into a certain stage until certain information has been filled in on contacting company records so here we have a contact-based workflow and and here i've just arbitrarily decided we want this contact to have at least one call where the outcome was connected and we want the company record to have annual revenue and industry listed you can decide what the most important things are for your contacts and companies to have but you could set that up as an enrollment trigger for a workflow and then we're going to set a deal property meets qualification criteria to yes i've added an extra level here where we're only going to do this for deals that are associated with this contact as a champion so this further requires that there is a champion identified by the sales rep who is on this deal and that they have provided the information that's required to take this one level deeper we could make this meet qualification criteria property only editable by workflows let's take a look at that so here we are on the properties page we can see if we look for meets qualification criteria here is the single on off checkbox property i've created for this we can assign this to specific users and teams i'm going to set this to private to me so i'm the only person in this portal who can update this property manually but this still leaves it open for workflows and other tools to update it so the workflow will be checking to see is this information in there and if it is it'll update that property and then if you made this a required property in a particular deal stage your reps would not be able to move it in until those qualifications were met so that's the most advanced form of deals customization that i know of inside of hubspot try it out let me know what you think leave your comments below what properties are you going to require in your deal pipeline [Music]
