we are valley implement company just a little bit about us we started in the 1950s we carry the kcih and new holland brands we have four locations we have two locations in utah we have two locations in idaho a couple of things that set us apart from our competitors is the way we have expanded in our geography we also carry uh irrigation systems where zomatic irrigation dealer we have a trailer line and we carry a full complement of trailer equipment and we have a keysight franchise we have a new holland franchise and so we're kind of a one-stop shop for agriculture [Music] the biggest challenge for the company as a whole right now is just staying on top of the changing technology and everything is moving at a very very fast pace and so we used to say things would maybe move in a 10-year window and now it seems like something happens in like a one-year time frame so we've had to make sure we support our legacy customers but also be nimble enough in the market to respond to say here's what we need here's where we're going so we have to be able to respond to that and that's been a bigger challenge than we had expected [Music] the main way we can deal with the changing in the marketplace is just to make sure we're talking to our customers and we're also talking to our employees that are engaged with them and understanding their needs and making sure we're dealing with our manufacturers in such a way that we can have a response from them that we can deliver for the customer so we just keep that conversation going we keep the flow of communication on the same page and we just say is this one person's perception or is this where the market has made a change [Music] i've known the dis corporation for as long as when i was a little kid i'm fourth generation in our family dealership and i still remember when the very first installer came out to the dis system at our first location i was about 14 years old at that time we did not have any hotels in our small rural town and the installer actually stayed in our home with us his name was henry i still talked to him on the response line today and so as a result of that i've always grown accustomed to knowing the dis system [Music] my favorite feature of the dis software is its ability to extrapolate whatever type of data we need and i can tell you data mine is something that we have used extensively and once our folks learned how to use the data mine feature i can basically turn to some key people in our organization and say this is the data that i need and they can provide it for me and mix and match the data however i want it [Music] the ice has been a good family relationship with us i can tell you that they are they treat us like we're one of their partners you can get a hold of people in management you can get a hold of people on the team we have a dedicated contact up there that her name is jill she's done a phenomenal job for us so when i need something i feel like i know people and so that's impacted us in such a way that we don't feel like we're kind of a customer number we feel like we're a key partner in what they're doing they've listened they've responded and they've been very attentive to us [Music] dis helps us just by keeping the transactions flowing and then uptime reliability i mean we've had a very very reliable system there and so barring some kind of you know power failure or some type of natural disaster in our community we have not had downtime issues and that has been a huge huge thing for us and so i think one of the things that's a little harder to quantify is what could happen if there was some type of problem and we just have not had those types of problems so the stability is the number one thing to me that just says this is huge to where we're going [Music] you
