[Music] hey what's going on i am excited to share with you how we have grown a million dollar business and to show you why we grew it the way we did now to start this off i do want you to know that there there's a huge difference between the models that are available to you so there's three major models that people are using right now to go make a lot of money online and it doesn't matter if you have a bunch of experience or not and pretty much anyone can pull these off but i love the info product model let's jump into it [Music] so first of all i'm going to talk about real fast i just wanted to know like why info versus ecom versus building an agency and those are the three models that you see a lot of people making money typically the fastest online right now now i chose info and here's why here's the categories that i'm gonna go rate this business model with and this is again why i chose info consciously like this okay so first of all i want to rate each of these three on time it takes to get leads how long does it take to actually acquire someone who's interested in actually buying from me second of all how long does it take me to sell once they're interested how long does it take me to fulfill on the thing that i sold and then i also want to just really briefly look at uh what are the typical product margins in business margins that you usually see in that business model now just real fast understand that i'm not guaranteeing you you're going to make a million dollars and i'm also not guaranteeing that this is a hard fast rule i'm just talking in general uh generalizations here what is it like in each of these numbers in these categories so first of all with the information business i'm gonna rank these one two three how long does it take to actually get a lead in the information product space um i'm gonna say because it's information and we'll talk about the more why moving forward i'm gonna put this as a two a two out of three okay um ecom to get a lead with ecom how much time does it take for you to go find the product on amazon you want and just buy it not that long right so i'm going to put it at a one to get a lead with being an agency usually i'm gonna put that at a three that takes more time okay that takes more time i'm gonna say in this case higher is worse okay so i'm gonna say out of a three right here how long does it take to sell somebody in the information product space okay in the information product space i'm gonna put it um usually at a one usually you're dealing with with sales that happen quite quickly also put a one for ecom because it doesn't take that long the time to sell if you're gonna build an agency which is still a great model but again usually is a little bit longer i'm not saying it's crazy long but it's definitely longer than info and it's definitely longer than it takes to sell someone in something like ecom okay time to fulfill um if you're building a million dollar business online time to fulfill this is where information really takes the cake if you hand me a dollar which i'm not gonna sell this for a buck it's worth way more than that more and more and more pigs million dollars anyone uh go ahead and put in the comments below if you'll buy this to me for a million dollars actually if you guys could put a little bidding war in the comments that'd be great we'll ship this one out to you all right sounds good this is a really powerful principle though if you go and you give me some money for this pig what is the time and effort it takes to fulfill on me sending this to you i'm gonna go grab a box second let me get one i'm going to put it in the box i'm going to go to the post office just kidding i'm not going to go to the post office with you honestly but what i'm going to go do is the post office guy is going to package it up there's going to be packing ship it's going to go on a box it's going to go on a um it's going to go inside of a truck that truck is going to go charlie another building that building is going to get picked up right other trucks the point is there's a lot of time to fulfill on something that's physical right this is where something like digital is really really cool what's the time to fulfill on something that is digital nothing it's an email with an access link usually so this is one thing that's really cool about info and it's one of the reasons i actively chose it when the transaction happens the sale is over now in agency models when the transaction happens the sale starts there's still tons of fulfillment that has to happen fulfillment is only beginning when it comes to the agency model especially on the internet it's one of the major disadvantages of something like an agency i'm not saying that it's a bad choice but this is why i chose info okay so i'm going to say time to fulfill an info a one ecom i'd say two with agency again it's a three now again agencies are really easy to sell and make a lot of money with but this is why i chose info okay typical product margins um i'll tell you that for me uh again high is really bad in this case right um i've had product margins with my information products it's not uncommon to have like 92 percent profit on a on a information product sale i'm gonna put it as a one what is the what's the cut like i gotta pay for someone to make this porcelain piggy and send it on now to you right the so this cost of shipping this cost of creation um there's a lot of costs involved with this i'm gonna put it as a two and then there's so in agency models there's usually so many people who uh you gotta go run that cash through to actually fulfill i'm gonna put as a three there's again i'm not a huge fan of the agency model on the internet it's a good model if you're just starting out but in terms of profitability let's go to the next category here it's not that awesome um information product i'm gonna go to a one forty percent business margin is not uncommon in the information product space on the whole business right i gotta pay for ads i gotta pay for well actually that's about it besides taxes that's one of the reasons again information product is so amazing in e-com though typical business margins i might have to have a warehouse you don't have to have this like i've got now in my own office um but i have to pay for a warehouse usually or if i'm drop shipping there's still somewhere someone is paying for a warehouse someone's paying usually for some kind of fee to hold your stuff okay so again i'm gonna say two and then typical business margins on an agency i'm gonna go again three now i know i'm speaking in generalities and i already feel your guys's comments saying but i'm not in that scenario like i get it all right there are people who have had the exceptions of it i totally understand i'm talking in general blanket statements gonna get a blanket okay big blanket statements okay this is typically the broad margins that you see so that's why i chose the information product space to go make a million dollars with that was my conscious decision right out of the gate so now that i've shown you why i chose the information product space i want to go show you paths to get there okay and this was something else i went through about three years ago before i decided to go try and make a million dollars online with the information products based and i actually sat down this is going to sound really cheesy and really dumb but frankly when i show you my whiteboard here these are the paths to make a million dollars and the biggest reason i want to show this to you is that you take a chance to sit back and ask yourself what relationship do i have with a million dollars okay i started realizing that because i kept thinking a million bucks was so big and so grandiose i was never gonna get there it's like oh it's this insurmountable amount of cash a million dollars oh my gosh granted it is a lot of money but if you keep thinking it's this like ghostly number that's out there and you can't actually tangibly hold it you're never gonna make it anyway and so i had to re-establish my relationship with what a million dollars is and we're crossing i think our seventh now and it's it happened faster and faster faster frankly because i had to re-establish my relationship with a million bucks so going to my whiteboard this is why i do this okay check this out these are the paths to a million bucks if i sell a product a lot of people say go sell a product that's 20 to 50 that's cool but that's actually going to take me 50 000 to 20 000 units to make a million bucks no thank you that's not my route for me that's a lot of transactions okay now i want to tell you this really really brief secret it takes just about as much effort to sell something that's 20 bucks as it does to sell something that's 10 000 [Music] right now that's not always true but understand that generally you're still gonna have to have an introduction in your pitch right you're still gonna have to go in and close people you're still gonna have to go in and collect cards there's a lot of very similar functions that you're gonna go through regardless of price so i might as well increase the price and decrease my workload okay so i could go in and i could sell something that's 100 bucks that's 10 000 units in order to make a million a thousand dollar product is a thousand units 5 000 is 200 and so forth going down or some of you guys might figure out some way in the information product space to sell something for a million bucks people have done it don't laugh at it i can hear you stop laughing all right so check this out so what i decided to go do was i realized you know what selling a thousand people a thousand dollar product seems like the one that i would be most comfortable doing that's why you see a lot of people in the information product space sell something for a thousand dollars is because a thousand people that's not that crazy to go do now the first time we ever went and did this it took me about 13 months and to make my million my first million dollars with a thousand dollar product getting a thousand people to purchase that was a very quick million dollars okay and so that's that's the path that i chose to go do you can choose any path you'd like to but now i want to go through and just show you real fast how to structure the business in a way to get that million dollars in your direction also so now that you know why i chose the information product space and the paths to get there you're late go sell something so this is how i find and launch a million dollar information product five steps let's go if you spent any time in the entrepreneur space at all or you're brand new in this you're eventually gonna run into this concept called red ocean blue ocean red ocean means that you're gonna sell something into a marketplace that's really competitive people are fighting on razor thin product profit margins okay and then what we're gonna go do is find this brand new blue ocean where nobody is i'm gonna tell you right now um i'm actually not gonna teach you that model there's a time and place to create things that are brand new and it's exciting what i'm actually gonna do here is i'm gonna find a marketplace that's really really really really competitive okay i'm talking red red red bloody red ocean and so what we're gonna do is i'm gonna show you how to stack up all these cards in your favor with the with the biggest chance of success all right so the first thing we're gonna go do is let's talk about your idea so i'll tell you guys the best ideas are the ideas that solve an existing problem yeah i woke up one day and i was like oh my gosh i get paid ing to the types of problems i solve guys not all problems pay you the same when you solve them if you guys go down to the grocery store right now and you buy something usually there's a bagger at the end of the grocery line and they start putting all that stuff in the grocery store now that's not to make fun of that position but how much how much money does that position make right how much money does that person get paid to solve the problem of how do i put things inside of a bag how much money it's not a valuable problem you will get paid in this life ing to the types of problems that you solve [Music] so that's the same thing what i'm gonna go do when i create an information product i'm gonna find an info product okay that is a uh that is connected to a legitimate big problem and i'm gonna solve it okay that's really what it is i'm gonna go into a marketplace that's really really competitive a red ocean where there's lots of competition i want that i want lots of people trying to sell i want that that's security i'm going to start finding and listing out all the problems that i see inside of that marketplace and i'm going to choose one of them and be like boom my whole business is now dedicated to solving that problem okay this is one of the easiest ways to help you see um uh that what you're creating is actually going to be successful i used to walk around and make products based on what i thought was cool but i'm not the one buying it that's why i go to a marketplace and i ask them what are your problems right i ask them the question what are the problems and i start listing them all out and eventually go choose one that's really valuable let's go to step number two now the second thing you're gonna do is you're gonna plan your profits i kind of talked about this before because i needed to see the opportunity the information product space has but i always want to make sure that i can create the product i can get the actual sale and i can fulfill with only about 25 of my products price because i'm going to pay taxes to the broken business of the government did i say that sorry um not so i need to at least plan for 75 margins because by the time i get nickeled and dimed and all the other fees that i'll pay hopefully then i'll go and collect about 40 overall that's one of the ways you can design a very profitable information product space on the internet let's go to step number three guys we're going to talk about traffic real quick if you have not pre-identified where you're going to get traffic from don't launch just cause it's a good idea and my family and friends said it was a great idea don't do that that's dumb this is how we find traffic okay you have to understand that traffic already exists there's already traffic and it's going all over the place and people are like what about this what about this whatever this what is this and i want to teach you real fast how to have security in what you launch right what i'm going to go do here is when i find the market that i'm going to go sell into i want to make sure that people are already in the habit of going there okay already in the habit already in the habit already in habit there's all these people that are constantly going to this thing okay this little piggy went to the market and i need to make sure that all of these others already are as well more and more and more pigs if i go and build a product and i don't know where people are already going that is one of the biggest gambles of the internet marketing space it's one of the reasons people fail on the internet with information products they come up with this great idea which is actually legit but they don't come up with or identify where the existing traffic already is i need you to identify where you're going to get your traffic from before going so i recommend going to one of the major platforms that's already there and figuring out a way to get traffic from them so i would go and make sure can i get traffic from facebook can i get traffic from youtube can i get traffic from instagram traffic from google you don't need all of them but if there's one or two where you could consistently get a drip of more and more and more pigs right more and more people coming your way make sure that little piggy is already going to the market and that represents security so one of these major platforms will they work consistently and is there existing traffic in the direction of the thing that you would go and sell now this is typically where people start when they begin building an information product business on the internet and this is usually why look at all the things we've already gone through this is usually why people fail it's because they start here this is not the first step in fact in my funnel building process this is step nine of twelve okay so i want you to see real fast that there's two different types of funnels that typically sell information products the best on the internet this is uh something that i've used personally it's how we've made the money that we have as well and uh here's the first funnel it's called a tripwire funnel okay tripwire funnel is a funnel that starts with something that's free come download this thing and then the very next page says you want this thing that's kind of cheap and the very next page says you want this thing that's a little less cheap and the very next page says you want something that's not cheap okay but it works really really well this is one of my favorite funnels one of my favorite strategies ever it works very well i have a lot of fun a lot of funnels right now as i film this with you are getting people coming in for free they're coming in they're buying things a few will buy the next piece and if you'll buy the next piece okay and that model works really well and i'm dripping out and unpacking in front of them a series of products that would help them solve legitimate problems okay this is an amazing funnel style let's go to the second one the second sales funnel style is one that people will sometimes think won't work for them and some people will even say that it doesn't work in general let's see if webinar funnels work yep guys the reality is is that webinar funnels work very very well and whenever someone says they don't work it's usually because they suck at doing it all right we have a lot of funnels that work really well in this model webinar funnels start out by getting somebody to register for a training and then on the next page or a few pages after that we have a broadcast page where we'll pitch them for an hour and then we send them over to an order page to buy now this format works really well for product prices that are usually uh i'd say 500 and more okay above that that's usually the best range below that i usually am going to use the tripwire funnel just to recap those two models are the tripwire funnel and the next one is the webinar funnel i love the webinar funnel all right guys we're on the final step here again to recap first of all solve a legitimate problem plan profits ahead of time or you won't have any when the project's over or launched solve the traffic problem before you ever go execute any of your ideas make sure that you've got a consistent eyeball source uh otherwise your stuff's not gonna sell without you next i would either build either tripwire funnel or what we call the webinar funnel and then finally this last step the fifth step here is actually one of the most challenging and it's the one that makes people think the internet isn't a great place to go guys launching your thing is a big deal the way that you introduce your product to the marketplace is a huge deal let's think about what it takes for hollywood to launch a product or movie to the marketplace if this is the launch date box office weekend what things does hollywood do to build pressure up to that release date you notice that they don't tell us about the movie on the day that it's available they tell us about the movie way before it's available and this is one of the biggest reasons people don't sell very well on the internet okay we're gonna go in and we're gonna create a series of little mini events that talk about and build up pressure good pressure towards the actual event that the fact that hey this thing's now available and it wasn't before okay so think about the way hollywood does this hollywood hollywood goes in and the night before something's available they'll go in and they'll have red carpet ceremonies and they'll have big matinees and they'll have parties right they throw a party basically they have all the big party only the who's who can go to it and see it early on early showings right um what do they do right before that as well the upcoming two or three weeks prior to that they're going on the tonight show when they're going to tons of they're going on they're basically going on tour the actors get spread out all over the place to talk about the movie let's watch that scene did you like that scene oh sweet scene guys make sure that you check out the movie this weekend in the box office that makes sense and what they're doing is they're hitting distribution channels to go build up pressure before it's even available very smart right they might go in and there's a there's a longer form preview three months before that there's a really short preview a few months before that maybe even a year before one year out they might just do a little tiny preview where it's just literally the name of the movie coming next right that's basically it and that's that's the extent of their awareness campaign but it's building up this long-term pressure that will help secure the success of what they go launch in a year one of the biggest reasons people's products don't work online is because the day your thing is available is also the first day someone heard about it [Music] that make sense don't do it that way i call these stair-stepping events this these events right beforehand i call it a springboard okay now this is not something that i can go in and teach you guys right now we have a really cool event coming up called offer launch funny enough if you go to offerlaunch.com that's something we can share more details with you on this is how we put products into the marketplace and help them be secured we have a whole bunch of strategies to get it out the door and a bunch more strategies to keep it out the door so it's it's a source of consistent sales for yep if you enjoyed this video we
