good evening and welcome aboard my two-day field trip from Sydney to Melbourne as they say bad things happen in threes and this trip certainly mastered its three times table already I've had a last minute change with a key customer in Regional Victoria wanting to move our appointment 1 hour earlier as long as everything runs on time tomorrow I should be able to make it this trip is definitely not for the faint-hearted so strap yourself in and there's three things I really want to show you number one what a day in the life of a Medical Rep looks like some of the key skills and qualities needed to succeed and reality of challenges that we face in the role tip number one make sure you're super organized like me and pack 5 days in advance only kidding the night before we'll du let's check the weather as they say pressure builds diamonds I always seem to forget something but as long as I Got My Gym gear and fresh fruit I know I'm a happy man I'm flying at 9:30 this morning not enough time for a workout but definitely enough time for a stretch it's a long day ahead and I need to keep my body loose flying at 9:30 is always fraught with danger so I pre-booked my Uber and finished the workout I head home and quickly inhal my breakfast who needs chewing anyway I'm expecting warm weather in Melbourne so no suit jacket today o la la check out this fancy Uber time to pray Sydney traffic doesn't do me dirty like it has my mate here with the backpack surprisingly the airport is not too busy and I get through customs with ease I double check the gate hasn't changed on me last minute everything is running on time we're looking good it's time for a coffee bloody hell the gate is all the way at the end of the airport I've bumped into one of the gym Bros anyways we bored in an orderly fashion and it's time for my second breakfast also I'm starting to think it's my lucky day two empty seats next to me psych my flight's delayed well I guess I'll scroll through some news while we wait on the Tac here is Ricky again he's hydrating for his powerlifting car good news is we've finally taken off but my water bottle has Unleashed a tsunami in my bag my laptop's swimming my notes are diving I quickly dry it down and check my work laptop still works luckily it's second time lucky for my work laptop unluckily though my flight is more than 1 hour late I've missed my appointment so I pick up the car and head into the city I'm nervous to tell my boss I've missed my main appointment for the day day but he's super understanding and tells me to go to this beautiful Cafe in Collingwood one of his favorites the cafe ends up being here my old work hey guys pretty start to the day but reality of being in field and what I found as my tip is you find something that picks you up for me Bubble te it's my guilty pleasure and yeah tomorrow should be a better day it's a fresh start now that I'm fed and hydrated it's time to check in I thought I booked the Ritz looks like I got the pits we have a new booking tool at work and I honestly thought they put me in the grand height as you can see the room is still very neat and tidy The View could do some work but everything else will do for one night I may have missed the field component but now that I've moved into marketing and a new portfolio I've got some big projects I need to work on so I sit down and fire up my new dry cleaned laptop catch up on emails and make some phone calls when the work is done I head to my favorite place and that's the hotel gym wow this pool is phenomenal now my expectations are high I'm starting to regret not packing swimmers but that's what happens when you pack last minute wow it's spacious in here some cables free weights this will do Solid 5 out of 10 from me and in case you wondering no I'm not one of those people on straa but I am one of those freaks who has to close all three rings now one thing about sales especially when you have a lot of Interstate Travel Is You need to be comfortable with being in your own company I know when I first started I was a little self-conscious about dining alone but now it's a breeze sharing this meal with you guys je if you couldn't tell from the two breakfasts one of my hobbies is food and here is a look at what I ate from tun restaurant in Melbourne it's another trip down memory lane as I drive past the old hospital where I I used to work as a hospital pharmacist and we've arrived yes I have a sweet tooth and I've heard a lot about this new Indonesian gelato spot they serve up really unique flavors and tonight it's hicha and Milo what a beautiful site I devour it and since the theme of today has been a trip down memory lane I thought I'd get to know you guys a little better and show you my old home on Swanson Street in Melbourne it's one of the busiest streets in Melbourne but so Lively and so convenient close to the city that's my place up there it's crazy to think when I first came down to Melbourne I actually didn't have a home so uh this was my original my first humble abode when I moved into Melbourne my grandma described it as a bird cage and I think a lot of my friends who came to visit thought it was a prison um so yeah it's it's very humbling standing here a lot of memories coming back it wasn't easy to move for 40K um to leave Comfort to leave my friends my family um yeah Melbourne if I think back to a moment that changed my life uh Melbourne's definitely number one um changing For Better or For Worse you know questionable uh but uh yeah that that tough move gave me uh a lot of growth and I'm very grateful for everyone who supported me and I wouldn't be where I I am today without the experience I had in Melbourne and that opportunity so um yeah
