if you're starting an accounting firm or bookkeeping firm or if you're a CPA we do websites and ads but I want to share with you who the perfect clients are I get these people ask all the time what are the best niches to be in for an accounting firm how can I get the highest retainer um clients now if you go look at all my other content I'm all about being an outsourced accountant I'm all about stacking value so that people actually get a sweet value proposition from you I'm all about making sure that clients are a perfect fit and doing enough prospecting so you can find these Perfect Fit amazing clients and if you go watch that other stuff here what I want to talk about is what kind of client are you looking for what's the best Niche it's less about what's the best Niche for a bookkeeping business or Niche for an accounting business and more about the type of client that you're going to be looking for so I'm going to share with you some opinion here what's the best niche here we go so number one I want you to think about you have to be on board with folks that value what you deliver and you'll hear this over and over and over again so I'm not going to belabor this too long because go watch my other videos but number one this is what what businesses value okay that's what this is the value propositions to business owners number one they want to save in taxes and they want to build wealth no red blooded American doesn't want to mitigate their taxes no entrepreneur rounds up all of them want to make sure that you're doing everything possible to reduce their taxes and they don't want all their wealth to filter through their fingers and be left wanting at the end of the Decades here you must help them build wealth number two they want it done right they want compliance Peace of Mind risk mitigation IRS protection you need to come alongside of them and make sure it's done right every business owner wants to know that they have a professional not an amateur doing things correctly and then the last thing is is that they want um increased productivity efficiency see they want a staff replacement they know that their business is like what Donald Miller says and business Made Simple production is the wing of an airplane sales and marketing are the engines they create the lift the cockpit is the leadership and the rest of that plane is bureaucracy you only want what you need in there every bit of Administration staff weighs the thing down it is sales marketing and production so anything that gets in the way like bookkeeping payroll messing around they're necessary evils but they're not part of the most important key behaviors that every business or every team member should have so each team member should have their core Focus that they're trying to shave their rocks that they're really pointed at and if you deliver Time and Labor saved where they don't have to screw around because you get done in minutes which takes them hours if you can improve efficiency and productivity because they're not distracted by stuff they're not great at if you can serve as a staff replacement so they don't have to hire Patty part-timer to come in and do books APA are in payroll and you can serve as a CFO I'm telling you this is what's valuable to a business owner so what what's the best Niche for a business owner that's what you're looking for you really want to find somebody who values these things okay now that seems like a cheap answer and it's like well hold on a minute is that real estate agents is that maybe they're into uh I always get people that love Real Estate Investors I'm like ah concrete people remodelers home builders lawn care companies pressure washers it could be all sorts of businesses but this we're looking for people here and then the second thing for Niche is I want you to think about where they are in their business so I'm gonna I don't want to blow this okay every business owner starts out as a dreamer okay and so what we don't want to do is we don't want to work with dreamers because they got way too many questions not enough money okay they don't have real problems they're trying to anticipate problems but that's always stage number one everybody starts out dreaming stage number two they step off and they become self-employed okay now when they become self-employed usually they're going to leave their employer probably take one or two of their customers and start their own thing and now they realize that they still have a job but without the security of hourly pay they have to make sales they have to execute and usually when they do this they just have to do whatever they can not to lose the house lose the car and get pummeled so when they're self-employed they're really just trying not to lose money well as they do that they start building some momentum they start getting referred they start doing a good job all of a sudden most of us will get to this point we're like I don't want to do everything I need to manage a team I want to build a team around myself and as they build that team around themselves they can specialize in labor one plus one doesn't equal two it equals five they're also able to um they're gonna have to get more sales revenue has to increase in order to support the team the stakes increase okay but this is also a person now who has believed that if I hold the hammer on every job and I have to be swinging the hammer and building everything we're not going to get to where I want to go I need to find other people to bring in and equip and Empower to do this stuff which means they have a different mindset we've now entered we are looking for people that have employees your number one indicator that they're a good fit for you is do they have other employees or other team members have they built a system that's incredibly important for you not just because of the logistics of having higher Stakes higher revenues having to add you know whether it's subcontractors are trying to add new employees or running payroll yes they have those problems but there's also they have made the investment to get other people's skills in line with you the next thing that you're going to do is there are people out there that build an empowered system okay and I want to talk about this for just a second there's a gigantic difference you're going to meet a bunch of businesses out there that they have you know a team of four or five production people maybe one person behind the scenes and then themselves very typically I have a customer who has four or five masonry con or masonry professionals he keeps them as busy as they can I have them dominating the search engines he is absolutely crushing it and they can't take on any more work like he gets to be super picky in fact most of the trades are this way and essentially what would occur is if he wanted to uh to grow he's going to have to find a full-time estimator he's going to have to get somebody to have on the phones with people and he's going to have to make the investment to actually buy a second truck a second set of tools everything doubles and that jump between a manager of a team to an empowered system eventually you start having people in management and Leadership you'll have a job supervisor sometimes there's different versions of this there's no one but this jump is huge this is where when you start looking down the road and they have a fleet of trucks that's the big difference between one to three trucks and maybe three to ten trucks they have an empowered system and the revenue needs to increase even more right and so the taxes can get even more out of hand the operations get more out of hand and it is more and more important to ensure that the operations are done right you're trying to find people right here eventually they get really big and they either you know I wrote sellable franchise it's not that you know the e-myth calls this a franchise I don't think that that's where it's at I think what we're trying to do is we're just trying to find people that have a team that they have to manage and that's better than just about every other Niche that you're going to find but I want to hit on what are some specific niches or niches for an accounting firm bookkeeping give me just a second here let me show this to you all right what I've got here is 70 B2B niches and that I identified I put it on our new website accountingwebsites.org um and this is just side stuff I'm trying to fill up all the search engine result Pages um and I'm trying to make sure that we just have some really cool private label Brands but I'm going to show you a list that I created of B2B niches that I think are fantastic for people and I think that you should look at so I'm going to read them out you can go to the next video if you want to but maybe this will pique your curiosity just a little bit I'm going to read these quickly so that I don't belabor this anything more than I have to so number one you got home builders Fitness instructors and personal trainers photographers and videographers wedding um insurance agents software startups e-commerce professionals Sealcoat and asphalt companies remodelers and renovation companies General Contractors Landscaping contractors Lawn Care fertilizing and weed control salons beauticians aestheticians and beauticians dermatologists dentists and orthodontists tree removal companies and arborists outdoor recreational supply companies construction supply companies restaurants roofing and siding repair companies those are huge home window installation companies automotive mechanic and repair YouTubers and influencers and bloggers surgeons doctors and health care companies real estate agents and brokerages Independence insurance agents and their brokerages concrete contractors patio and deck installation companies manufacturing which is gigantic Niche dealerships and suppliers so think of UTV's ATVs motorcycles and then there's all sorts of weird ones like I we had a concrete company that did concrete polishers every big thing needs to be brokered somewhere so think of those dealerships of all sorts of like who sells um anything like there's somebody who sells weird trucks for like um just about any obscure construction that you can think of right so we got um pumping and septic tank companies plumbers and plumbing companies electricians and electrician companies and that's kind of a difference they're Drilling and well companies crane operating companies crane servicing companies plus that's two different spots elevator and escalator installation repair companies that's huge pool installation companies or pool builders pool construction pool servicing diesel repair and Fleet service companies are you have heavy machinery and tractor dealerships and just look at the Toro dealer the Cat dealer the the John Deere dealer private aircraft mechanic and repair there's a whole world around private aircraft watercraft and boat dealerships and the same thing with repair and servicing and docks watercraft and boat motor repair companies taxidermist and Taxidermy companies that's kind of a weird one car wrap detail and print companies there's five in every major Metro or every City carpet and flooring companies and contractors medic supply companies medical supply companies upwork Fiverr gig professionals with 1099 income farmers and agriculture non-profits churches synagogues and mosques private schools and academies Swim Schools gymnastic teams clubs and coaches professional athletes real estate investment companies property management companies small landlords and investment property owners screen printing embroidery and stitching companies oil and petroleum companies pest control and Exterminators franchise owners that's a whole other world land surveyors and Engineers engineering firms and Professional Engineers or freelance Engineers attorneys and law offices and then this is my favorite lice removal specialist that was right before I made that list folks there's a ton of niches out there that you can invest into but again this is a list of 70 B2B niches you can take a look at that the link will be in the um description but mainly the main thing is we're trying to find people that are managing a team and then we're trying to find people that value what we value and then we want to deliver the outsourced accounting model if you need a website you want marketing you want SEO you want to do it right go look at the portfolio that we have in fact if you just look at this and you go to our work you go to websites you come down you can look at all of the accounting websites dynamos Moderno construction
