all right hey everybody welcome to another edition of attract well office hours i'm coach ashley joined today by our founder and magic wand wielder greg kilwan hey hey hey everybody excited to have you here today today we're talking about funnels that may totally intimidate you or you may be wondering why on earth we'd be talking about a kitchen gadget if you don't know what i'm talking about don't worry i've got a lot of great resources for you that will not help you change the oil in your car or pour something into a jar but it will help you get leads into your business so today we're talking about not just funnels but strategy around them how to create them what their build order is and a fully fleshed out end-to-end course we're giving away for free that has resources already in it for you to plug in and follow along with what i am showing you here today following a funnel that has closed a ton of business over the many years that i have used iterations of it in different perfect all right so this is uh in our sort of inaugural uh office hours sessions that we've been having here we're getting into business basics and as a digital business or a business with a digital presence a fundamental basic piece of your business is your funnel your marketing funnel how you turn people from curious to interested to customers so we're going to talk about the basics of what that looks like and the nuts and bolts the actual pieces the tools the things you put together all under one roof and your attract wealth system to make that work for your business so what we're going to do today is first training that we're going to do some live coaching on funnel strategy and give some live help in q a if you've come here with questions today so tell me about your business give me give me some info in the chat what kind of business do you have who are you serving what are you offering to the world let us know in the chat we're excited to learn more about you this is a new content series and we really do just as we're doing with the content of this call today we really want to make sure that we are serving you uh and your unique business and making sure that we can give cover the basics of a funnel and then how to map your own funnel out so it does what it's designed to do we'll talk about what to create for your funnel in what order and then a comprehensive resource that i've created to share with you with templates so plug and play i'm gonna tell you what goes where what you do with it and uh and exactly how it will work in your business all right so let's talk about some basics of funnels uh we've got up at the top the whole wide world anyone who could see what you offer wherever you show up that's on social it's your website it's you in person anywhere where people could see you and learn about what you do that's up at the top we narrow down a bit and then we keep narrowing down until we get to the end where someone actually becomes a client or customer right so that's why we actually call this a funnel it is shaped like a funnel that you would use to change the oil in your car uh or to can something right so we've got a wider mouth and then a narrow opening in the bottom because obviously not everyone who you will ever show up in front of is someone who is going to actually become your client or customer right so what a funnel does is it helps to guide them through the process uh on an automated basis without you having to be there for every single step of the process without you having to chase anyone or feel like you're chasing or pressuring anyone you're able to help them guide themselves toward making the right decision if you've got the right things in place so up at this top level uh what your uh what you're offering here is a lead magnet all right so a lead magnet is well as as the name implies it is a thing that is designed to attract leads to you okay now a lead magnet is offered on a landing page or a page or custom page in attract well and the link to that page is shared with your audience ing to your marketing plan all right so a lead magnet may be a pdf or a video or a series of emails that helps your ideal client get a result and you're paying it forward this is free for them all right that's what a lead magnet is we are selling air quotes that lead magnet on a landing page or a page otherwise on your website where they have to put in their name and email in order to get access to that free thing that you're offering to them okay the campaign that's attached to that landing page or that custom page in attract well it delivers the lead magnet so a campaign is an automated series of emails it could be one it could be more that sends out that thing that you promised them right and then ideally it's going to also drip additional information that gets them more curious more interested and more inclined to trust you enough to move to the next phase in your funnel that campaign will then finally ideally offer them an opportunity to convert to customer right so if you're selling a course this would be a sales page if you're offering services this may very well be a discovery call or an application for a discovery call or something to that effect whatever it is we're offering the lead an opportunity to take next steps if they like what they've seen in steps one and two right and then finally the lead engages with that conversion event again being sales page or a call with you to become your client or customer all right now this is the one page funnel blueprint we offer this as a lead magnet as it turns out on the home page of attractwell.com so you can actually opt in and get this you have to enter your name and email and then you will receive a series of emails from me where i am offering for you to get on a call with me right where you can also sign up for attract wealth right so there's multiple things that we can offer you and you're going to learn about those things in that campaign you're going to be doing the same thing now the resource that i'm going to connect you with today is actually going to show you exactly how to create a funnel just like this i have a course that teaches this whole funnel strategy and i know we're crazy for this but we're giving it away it's free okay because we want you to be successful using our system right and these are all resources that plug into attract well so what we're looking at here on the far left is everything that or every opportunity that could exist for you to get in front of your ideal person right so maybe you have an existing list of people and you send out an email or text to them weekly about you know the new blog post that you wrote uh or about a new thing that you're offering maybe you're making posts on social or you are giving a talk in front of an audience or you make a youtube video um in any case in any of those instances you say and by the way i've got this free thing that i am going to share with you uh here's how you can get it and the how you can get it is enter your name and your email address on this landing page all right so that's the first step in our funnel so they go from audience to lead after they enter their name and email on the landing page now there's two things that happen here there's a campaign that's applied that's the string of email and text that you see down here at the bottom that's an either or email or text right so they're going to start receiving these emails that first email if you see where this arrow goes up it actually goes to the lead magnet we're giving them the thing that they asked for now what's also happening is that after they enter their name and email they're then redirected to a second page now i recommend using what i like to call an authority page which is more or less an opportunity for you to show up and say hey you know what you just opted in to get a thing from me i'm so excited that you are interested in this thing that i have to share with you but you're here today because there's a bigger problem that you're looking to solve right and that's actually what your your bigger solution is right it's it's your coaching it's your services it's your product right you're giving away something that is a little bit of a piece of that bigger thing right and so you're calling that out on the authority page and then giving them a call to action to participate in the conversion event and that is too in this case if you're a coach or a service provider more often than not that's going to be offering a call with you a discovery call with you or someone on your team right and so we move them through here so the quickest path to them becoming a customer is landing page to authority page and they're like oh yeah i do want to talk to you they book with you you get on the call you enroll them right the other option which is going to be the case more often than not is they're going to be on a drip campaign they get the email they get the lead magnet maybe they love the lead magnet the lead magnet says hey remember i made this message for you over on the authority page go check that out so that you can book a time with me maybe they get another email the next day sends them back to the lead magnet all roads are still attempting to lead them to that conversion event right if you're selling a course this booking page you see in this model is a sales page um and uh and and you're not doing the call to enroll them you would just have the straight arrow over to the enrollment um you will also want to send emails subsequent emails in this campaign again to make sure that you're sending them back maybe you send a quick text um on day three or four that says you know hey if we have we set up a time to talk yet and send them to your booking page and then day five onward you treat them like everyone else that's on your longtime nurture list and that's to send them your new blog post maybe you made a new blog post that will be helpful to them maybe you created a new youtube video you're going live on facebook you're offering a challenge whatever that might be right now if this is a lot to take in don't worry there's a full course that teaches this and i'm going to share with you how you can get access to it so let's talk about mapping out your own funnel to make this work for you you got to ask yourself a series of questions in order to make this work all right so first what are you offering what is it exactly that you are selling you're making a funnel not to just get leads getting leads is not a worthy activity unto itself you need to get leads for a specific thing that you're offering right so if you want leads for your offer we need to know what our offer is so we need to be very clear on what that is and then we need to determine what our conversion event is if you're a coach or a service provider nine times out of ten that conversion event is going to be offering a one-on-one call with you especially if you're working high ticket or retention based products if you are selling courses things like that this would be a sales page so you're going to want to determine whatever that conversion event is where someone becomes your customer then you want to determine whatever supporting content you have access to this is for your campaign and for your pages especially if you're making a sales page right so your campaign isn't just hey i made you a thing now buy my stuff it's hey i made you a thing i hope it helps you and then you pop up the next day and you say hey i made another thing you might want to check this out too i hope this also helps you and you do that a couple of times because what you want to do is really show up and and show them that you're not just here to pitch something to them but you really are someone who understands them and is invested in what they need what they want right so you determine what that supporting content is and that can be case studies from your existing clients stories of your own blog posts that you've written on related topics just so that you can share inspiration ideas practical wisdom to help them because all this is about guys is paying it forward so that folks are more interested if they do feel aligned with us to say yes to what we offer so the next question and this determines what our lead magnet is is how can you pay it forward with a win right now how can you take something that you know how to do that they want help with and give it to them so that they will give you their contact information and you can explore next steps with them and show them that you are someone who's qualified to work with them here's the kicker your lead magnet needs to be something that directly relates to the outcome of what you are selling of your offer right so if you are offering ultimately a weight loss program then your lead magnet might be a daily routine or a shopping list or a challenge or something like that right something that relates directly to the outcome that they're looking for because you got to call that out on that authority page right then you got to think about how you want to deliver it is it a pdf is it a video is it an email sequence all right so once we figure those things out we build and this is a simplified order and again i go into all the granularity and give you the templates and show you how to edit them in the course but the simplified order of the build here is to first create your lead magnet right so we know what our offer is we're going to take a piece out of it we're going to give it away to help them get a win so we're going to create our lead magnet first pdf video whatever that might be if it needs to live on a page in your system you put it on the page in your system then we're going to create the campaign that delivers it so it's going to connect to the campaign is going to link to the page where you're delivering your lead magnet or the campaign might include the lead magnet itself if your lead magnet is in fact you know a five-day sequence of steps to do x y or z thing right so you write the campaign next and that's the thing that delivers your lead magnet shares that supporting information and then invites them to that conversion event to move forward and become your customer or client then you create the confirmation or authority page that's what they get redirected to after they opt in and then finally you build the front door right we don't construct a front door before building a house right so we're sort of building the foundation that's the lead magnet we're building up the walls right we're putting the roof on then we're putting the door in and the door is the landing page that offers your lead magnet all right so you're going to get the full rundown with templates on all of this including a complete 18-minute training on that one-page funnel blueprint that i covered with you guys briefly here if you go to attractwell.com cfc it's the client funnel challenge uh this is very specifically ideally made for you as a coach or a service provider i go through way more than just the funnel i go into applications of the funnel um i share my discovery call flow in here you guys you've got tons of stuff to go through in this course so definitely definitely please check this out so i want to make a quick note on landing pages because this can be a little confusing uh if you're not totally clear especially if you're maybe newer to digital marketing um and our platform so we have two things that you can use to create a landing page on our platform all right so when i'm talking about landing pages generally i'm using a generic term an industry term for a place where someone lands or arrives from your traffic source so from facebook your blog paid ads whatever that might be um and then they're given the opportunity to opt in and become a lead to get that lead magnet right so that's generically what a landing page is on our platform though there are dedicated specific landing pages and then there are pages that you can set up to collect leads right so there are landing pages and then there are custom pages or pages in attract well that have pop-up lead forms available either of these can be used as a landing page all right i personally prefer to use pages custom pages and attractable for everything um because i like the pop-up i like that i can add a lot more information on the page it's um it's more customizable it's more editable you can make your home page something that is effectively a landing page because there's a pop-up or a button that they can click into their information and get something that you're giving away so there's a lot of opportunity there in using those custom pages so i'll show you what this looks like so under your website menu under landing pages you'll see landing pages look like this or there's there's a few different templates this is an example of one that's created where you actually enter the information on the page itself right and this is just a standalone thing uh a oh jeez what's going on with my computer sorry guys a um a custom page or a page is going to look more like this where you have to click the button to pop up the form okay uh so that's the difference we've got a standalone thing where you enter the information or you've got a page that may have multiple sections you may be able to scroll down a bajillion years and get a pop-up or click a button but it does this okay that's the difference primary is your lead forms the text entry happens on page on landing pages and on pages you click the button to pop up the forum for text entry on pages as well as the other reason why i love using pages for this you can also do customizable forms so you can do multiple fields multiple choice answers radio buttons long long form answers short form answers i love using pages for discovery forms intake forms um it's just it's the best thing right um some folks do prefer using landing pages just because it's less to edit and it's pre-formatted for you so that's actually that's a huge boom there if you're interested in that uh you can also integrate payments in the lead form on pages as well um there's also integration with other website content that's more available in pages than in landing pages so landing pages can be like a standalone offer for a lead magnet uh pages integrate into uh they can integrate into your home page or other pages on the site wherever you want to use the lead form i will say this if you are someone who does in-person events if you're ever at a vendor table if you do expose and things like that lead forms on the landing pages the specific standalone landing page feature on our site that's really kind of what this was built for um if you use kiosk mode which you'll see when you actually look at your list of landing pages kiosk is the thing you click when you click that you have this great way to just have your ipad or your computer or whatever sitting out on your table at your expo or your your live event and people can because the forms right there on the page there's no buttons to press they can just go ahead and enter their name and email right there and as soon as they click uh to submit it's going to recycle the page so the next person can do the same thing right that's a pretty cool thing anyway so let's talk about how to share your funnel and get leads uh first really important you're gonna be sharing the published landing page or custom page with the lead forms url so that means that wherever you are creating the landing page for your funnel you're going to hit view and attract well and it's going to open up a new window or a new tab with your published page that link is the thing you're sharing you're going to be adding that link with a call to action to click it why they want to click it to any existing campaigns or new broadcast emails that you're going to send out to engage your existing list you share it on social you put it in your content your blog post youtube podcast wherever and then if you're doing live events if you're giving a talk uh if you are on a webinar uh like we're doing today you guys are opting into the the client funnel challenge attractable.com forward slash cfc there's a campaign attached to that right uh you become effectively if you're not a part of our system already you become a lead when you opt into that so you can be on calls like the one we're on right now for your ideal audience uh if you're a guest post for someone you offer to give a freebie away to someone else's audience this is the link that you share right that's the door to your funnel so now we're going to break off into coaching life help and q a i do want to invite i know melissa we probably covered a lot that you've already asked but um i know that there was a specific use case that you were interested in for a coach potentially offering um like a specific like a challenge or something like that so i want to bring you out if you're cool with it if you'll raise your hand for me let me know and uh and we'll we'll bring you out to chat awesome glad you're here hello hi all right so let's talk about your funnel well um i don't really have one yet and that's way that's why i sent the email because i was getting really overwhelmed and squirreled because i would start like you said don't build the front door first well of course that's right where i started because you know because we logically go that's i mean that's why a lot of us try to build a home page on our website first before we even know what we're offering right we're mimicking what we see in the world and what a lot of folks don't show especially the gurus of the world in this space like they don't show you the inner workings and how it works so yeah right so what i wanted to do is i am offering um free workshops at my church and i want to be able to send them to a page to give them a link or even use the kiosk mode because that was so cool when greg showed me that we sent me a little video on that um to be able to send them to a landing page that tells and i haven't figured out what all exactly i want to how i want to sell it but what i was i think kind of thinking was inviting them as an ula coach to become a member i think that was maybe the thing that i want to drive them to is to become a member um so i just didn't know the process step one do this i got to build this first and then you do this and you just kind of laid that out a little bit for us but that's where i'm at well so so what is what is the sort of mode of offering that you see this being the thing that you want to offer these folks i mean is it is it something that's live that's with you like what so what i was thinking of i would be it could be one of two things right so i could be on social offering them this free webinar or it could be when they're at my webinar my free webinar i say to that i give them either like the ula planner or the ola wheel if you want to get these then go to this landing page i mean it could technically be either of those things and it might the second might be more realistic because i'm thinking a lot of people are just going to show up to the event once they start publicizing it without going to a landing page and signing up for it does that make sense it does yeah so hmm all right so knowing what i know about oola and what's offered with oola um and knowing that the aim the end goal is to actually uh you know really on board them onto a subscription offering a journey if you will that's kind of that year of transformation is what we would like to offer yes so um so really what i would do on the front end is you're not integrating anything oola at all um think about the journey um of your own uh that carries the most sort of currency of visibility uh or relatableness uh to your ideal person and uh what i'd go out and and do is either create a lead magnet or you know make i mean the webinar could be the thing of value that you're offering right um it's just if you're doing it live um that's a whole lot of your energy um to put into something so i mean if you maybe did it you know a couple times a month or you did it like once and you use the replay that video could certainly be a great lead magnet um if the webinar is really what you want to do i was gonna do like a series of three i was actually breaking the content into three and i was going to go through the first seminar being the wheel then the plan then the path in ola and you know focus on each one of those at each seminar so i'm wondering maybe even that's the lead magnet for anybody who shows up if you show up to the first one make sure you sign up so you can get information about the second one with honestly if it if it were me i would i would create something like that to be a value add for people when you are signing them up for oola so like that's that's sort of a thing that's it's not it's not the lead converter generator but it's a tool that you use so it's almost like if you were selling something and you're just going to throw something in to sweeten the pot so um what i would do is on the front end thinking about you know again in the context of your journey your your own personal experience your credibility and what's most important to your ideal person i would think very practically about what you could offer uh to help them diy themselves um that'll get them a benefit i'm sorry i don't mean to interrupt i'm sorry so my ideal person my niche is moms who have children who struggle with severe anxiety and ocd and related disorders and my heart wants to help those moms find balance in their own life it's kind of like the analogy on the plane right put your own oxygen mask on before you can help your kids so my my heart wants to help those parents and those moms particularly get find their balance find their piece find their zen so to speak so that they can help their children who are struggling so i think what i hear you saying is that would be my lead magnet some sort of offer something to help those moms specifically about stress and anxiety to bring them in that's right that's right yeah so what i would do is just on the lead magnet side of this in terms of your broader business funnel is i would give them a checklist a guideline of something that um that helps either help either helps them to reset or thinking about because they're not thinking about themselves right now they're thinking about the kid so um you know maybe a you know um maybe you've got a thing that you can write up that is sort of a comprehensive guide or something to help help mom get kids centered right here's you know here are the five steps that i follow if you feel like you know if you want to help your child uh who's dealing with these issues or whatever here's what i do uh because now you've got her attention that's what she's looking for right now she's looking for she feels helpless um because she can't help her kid the way she knows her kid needs help so that's that's the opportunity you're going for there because that's what she's paying attention to so you give her that that's going to open your relationship that's that's the make your funnel around that but then have the language of the the campaign really talk about all right look so we've got this in place but let's go ahead and address the elephant in the room here we can't be as effective in serving and helping our children if we aren't taken care of we've got to put our own oxygen mask on and so what you do then is you offer for your conversion event an opportunity to sit down with you and build a game plan on a one-on-one call and on that one-on-one call uh maybe you you know you have a lead form she fills out here's all you know here's my main goals here's these things i want to figure out she gets on a call with you you make these recommendations and then you're able to say you know by the way i've i've got a whole community and resources and all of these things that can plug you in and uh and it's gonna cost you less than what is it like you know it's like less than two hundred dollars to get started and you know x amount of dollars per month and you've gotten less than one doctor's appointment for your kid there you go so you you know you know the closing language of this but that's basically what you're doing your your your lead magnet is um you know here's how you mom can help your kid um overcome you know anxiety in a moment uh you know here's you know here's my five steps or whatever you know use the most compliant language for what you're offering of course uh but then but you transition the conversation uh on that authority page you say hey look i i'm sending this to your inbox right now but look you're here because you feel this way i want to help you not just address this thing that you came here for but work on the whole thing so i want to give you an opportunity because here's my story here's what i've been through click here to come and apply for a call with me because i'd really love to sit down and work with you on this and then then your emails say the same thing right does that make sense a lot of sense thank you awesome was that the whole of it or do you have any other questions well yeah just then how would you work in those live events that i already have is that then in like the drip campaign like afterwards so or because um the live events so what i would do for your whole audience right so so once somebody has opted in on your landing page they're going to be tagged with something that's related to your offer right you should be putting in a tag so in this case it would be you know anxiety anxious kids or something like that that's the tag um so you know that those are people who have opted in for that purpose you're going to to your whole audience who have not necessarily opted into anything you're going to be offering more of that here's how you solve the problems you're out here looking to solve right now right but for the people who have already opted in and gotten something from you you're going to give those people the opportunity to take a deeper look into this other stuff that you do okay thank you awesome yeah so promote that to the people who are your leads um you know who've opted in sort of qualified in that way instead of putting it on social and then yeah just make everything that's out front to the world hey mom i help you right okay perfect thank you so much yeah absolutely absolutely feel free to come back and businesses in particular that's that's really like what uh this funnel is created for um i can remember going back to gosh maybe seven eight years ago uh maybe longer than that now time goes by really we test you guys uh we used uh i think seven different services uh and our monthly bill to run this funnel definitely cost over twelve hundred dollars a month before traffic if attractwell had been around back then if you could only imagine because all this stuff happens on attract fall the only thing that we have to plug in and this is something that greg is actually working hard with this magic wand on is is an integrated scheduler for your calendar like that's literally the only thing that you need that isn't here um and uh and yeah and even you know us plus and you could do this with free calendly uh you know whatever it costs you on your plan it attracts well is how much you can pay to get the same kind of funnel that that we used to manage for over a thousand dollars a month just great and you can use this funnel that i teach um once you have it set up you can hire somebody to run your ads for you because you know all of the things that need to go where you have all of the resources that you need for your copy um everything is there got a question in the queue and a if i can open it um what could a funnel look like for a va that's a really good question let me see if um [Music] let me i'm going to see if this attractable site is still up and running and i can show you actually what a really gorgeous attract well website for a va looks like her name is marissa and i'm going to share this with you right now okay so virtual assistant services she's coaching project management goal setting i believe she's an ula coach as well um so she's got a little sort of mini menu here what to expect all this kind of great stuff speaking through hey i'm looking for a va don't know where to start she's answering your questions that you're asking in your mind if you're looking for a va she's got a great message of value here here's who i am who i help here's a breakdown of what sort of what some of these things look like and then she actually lists out sort of checklists of what those look like and these are great um so it's like a canva image this whole thing it's really awesome um and then uh there's a statement of belief here there's a get in touch and she actually has her own um sort of intake form there she's got her different levels listed here and yeah and and kind of goes deeper into all the things that she offers is beautiful i love her branding but yeah this is an attractable site you guys for a va and she's got her faqs down at the bottom really really cool she's even included this um awesome uh little widget here which i don't know anything about including those but that is an example of a va website i'm sure that there's more uh you know feel free if you are a va especially if you're a va that does work on attract well uh let us know and want to i want to see what your site does too awesome yes she is amazing on canva lin that is such a good skill just it's it's good it's it's good to know how to do it and and the cool thing is is that it's um it's quite it's quite simple to learn it's easy to pick up um i am not the early adopter type for technology like believe it or not i'm not naturally i'm not a digital native i'm one of those old millennials remember that aolcds so i was i was reticent to get started using canva it frustrated me i waited for a long time but then finally i was like okay it makes sense it's one of the better investments you can make um outside of a platform like us and and did you guys know there's a canva button and a track well do you guys know that do you want to see since we're still here and then we'll we'll pop out and you know go about our day if we don't have more questions you guys want to see where the canva button is i just i want to show you guys real quick since we're talking about it all right so when you're creating free posters what's that i said that aolcd made a great coaster back in the day all right so when you're in you're a trackball account let's just say that we want to send an email uh and i'll send an email to myself whoa okay there i am i am going to send an email by clicking right here and i'm going to go to the canva button and maybe i want to just create um i want to create just a little image to to send off so i'm going to go logo because i want it square if you have specific dimensions in mind you can hit custom uh you could also see actually um i think oh no it doesn't do that so i'm just going to go to i'm going to use this custom 500 by 500 and open canva and so now what you can do if you have your canva brand kit set up so if you go to elements for instance you click one of these then you can actually click one of the brand colors that you have uh so maybe i want to like you know just send a i don't know it's a newsletter message or something like that to my people you can put a little little element in there add text again you know already in keeping with your brand kit and then once you have it done you send it to attract well and it's just going to be right there for you to use it's pretty cool it's going to add to your image gallery and then it'll show up right there so um it's a pretty pretty pretty neat thing so yeah now you know um for some things just fyi if you are using canva um if you need to make a pdf you can make a one-page pdf using that button their integrations on canva however currently don't allow two things that are pretty important number one is a second or subsequent pages on pdfs you can only do one at this point and um saving an image with a transparent background so if you want to save something that is round for instance or as in whatever the shape is uh you know that you just have of your elements on canva you can't do that uh using the button um but you can just save it from canva on your device and upload it to a trackball cool cool all right well if you guys don't have any other questions i suspect you are all going over to attractable.com cfc so you can get
