i was so thrilled to be here today it was a great day bringing all these wonderful talented restaurant caterers together it's always great to get yourself in a situation with a big group of dynamic people like this and exchanging those best practices and those kind of little nuggets of information you're like man i've never thought about doing that before we always need to know something new who's ready to get this party started i would say today was really fun i usually get really bored at these things and it's hard for me to sit through a whole day lead generation we all know that we need leads to start right all in all the catering institute touched on all the hot buttons that we need in the restaurant industry to become more successful every day every single day i would hear from somebody i had no idea that you catered so much of it is about awareness right you guys get that every day it takes everybody involved in the organization to make this really sing and to be successful i feel i'm taking a lot home with me i can't wait to bring this back to my company and colleagues and share the experience that i learned today the delivery drivers need to be brand ambassadors for you they're not pizza delivery guys you know when we're hiring them there's a whole other level of standard that you're looking for and it's really about setting the expectation at the very beginning of the hiring process and then hiring the right people they need to be able to speak eloquently and personably with your customers and also get you what more sales well i wouldn't want to give my competitors too many pieces of advice but clearly we're going to have to take our restaurants outside to the community and catering is a great way to do that it has two aspects to it in my mind it's sales and profit certainly but the other aspect is it's a great marketing tool to allow people to sample your product without coming to your restaurant and perhaps entice them to come to your restaurant in the future this is definitely a program worth coming to and learning from it's kind of step by step and they held our hands i will recommend this to my clients and to anybody who really wants to learn about the catering business the information was very point on to building your business [Music]
