need to do on your website is you need to build a separate thank you page so when someone fills out your form on your website I'm just going to copy this right here I know so I have it so I can just show you wrong button just got back to basically I just need to copy this and I'll show you how it works so if I go to my website and somebody fills out my form and so if someone fills out this form on my website they press they fill out all the questions and they press send message when they when they press send send message it will bring them to the thank you page and when they go to the thank you page that will trigger the Google ads that this was a conversion on the Google ads so once you have your thank you page built out doesn't need to be anything special simple page needs to be built out all you need to do is come into your campaign this campaign I just set up today come up here to conversions and we're going to go to new conversion action and we're going to go to website I'm going to enter in my domain name I just need to keep this here as well so I'm going to keep that one and I'm going to take my domain name which is here so you'll just take your website whatever you're using and you put that in here like that you press scan and once that's done you'll go to add conversion action manually and we're going to go down here we're going to go to submit lead form and I'm going to call this lead form Google lights that's it we come down here I use the same value for each each conversion and for this one I'm going to go to one because you only want one conversion for each one when you're doing lead forms all this I'll keep the same I will turn that off and then we're going to press done right down here and once that's done I'm going to come down here and it's going to press save and continue and then here you get the instructions to set this up on Google tag manager so I'm going to come over here to this one right here use Google tag manager and you're going to need this and you're going to need this so I'm going to copy this right here for now and then we come over to our Google tag manager so next thing I need to do is I need to set up a trigger so this is what I was saying when someone lends on thank you page it needs to trigger the Google ads that this was a conversion so I'm going to go up here I'm going to go to new and I'm gonna call this thank you page Google lights and I'm going to go to page view and we're going to go to some pages and all we need to do is we just need to take the thank you page in the domain and we just hit edit here so this and we do this page URL so page view we don't do all we do sum you go to page URL and it contains this it's going to contain this in the URL so it's going to contain thank you page or whatever you call it if you call it just thank you or something else you just take that in there and you put it in there you come up here you press save and then we got tags and we're going to go up here to New and we're going to call this the same as what we call it on Google ads or lead form Google ads up here you go to the search bar oh no we have it here so Google ads conversion tracking so as I said you come back here to Google ads you get your conversion ID right here so you copy and paste this you put this in the conversion ID box which is right here so put that in and then the next one is you need this right here to copy and paste that and you put that in the label conversion label that right there and now and triggering so you need to set up the trigger tool right here so we go in here and we put in our thank you page which contains in the URL thank you page we put that in and then you press save and then to make sure all this works we have to submit it through so you just put in your description so the form that's it we put we press publish and now you're telling Google tag manager that you just set that up so now we need to know if this is actually working so you go to workspace you got so now once that's done all we need to do is we need to check if it's working so we're going to go to preview up here I'm going to press that I'm going to enter in your website which I have here and we're going to go to connect and this is the Google tag manager on my website it's letting you know if it all works or if it doesn't so if you come back this didn't trigger so nothing not any trigger yet I don't want that triggering yet so it's going to type in my name Dave I'm going to type in that I'll type it says machine I just want to type in anything here and I'm going to press I'm not a robot and once I send this send message button and I land under the thank you page this should trigger the Google ads conversion so my my this form is is going to redirect and to this this page and now have a look it has triggers so if I finish we continue that lead form has now triggered on the thank you page so that's it that's the basic setup of what you need to do you just need to so the first thing you need to do is you need to build out your website you need to put in your contact form I'm using WP forms uh you just need to redirect so when someone sends a message you just need to redirect that to the thank you page URL that you've built so if you don't know how to do this on WP forms I will show you just go to WP Farms we're gonna go to my contact form and I'm going to go to settings confirmations and you just press this right here go to URL redirect that's it you press save and now that's going to redirect to the thank you page and now you have
