been a lot of great ministries throughout the years go back to Bible times obviously the disciples the Apostles the early church church pioneers and throughout history there's been names such as Martin Luther and reformist and in more recent times the last couple hundred years the Wesley's and maybe William Booth found with the Salvation Army Spurgeon and a whole lot more that we could mention more recent times some of the incredible ministries that God is using around the globe but of course there's one ministry that stands out above every other ministry on which every other ministry is based and that's the name were singing about the Ministry of Jesus Christ and I don't know about you but to me it is so surreal that where we seated right now with this water as a backdrop in that haze no wonder they thought he was a ghost because that's what it looked like when he walked on the water I find it so surreal to think that the great majority of Jesus ministry actually happened in this water on these shores exactly where we are now 2,000 years old the Ministry of Jesus just up not too far from here it's a little town called Cana of Galilee where his first vehicle was that's where Jesus turned water into wine changed the atmosphere of a wedding immediately when everyone was wondering how the best wine was left to last it was just up on these hills not so far away where Jesus preached his first open-air sermon the sermon of the mount the Sermon on the Mount of Beatitudes which I know some of you already visited today it's in this area in this water and on these banks where life's changed and history changed all because of Jesus Christ and it's still because of Jesus that we're here today I think about the fact that more than 50% of Jesus parables as stories were spoken right here those were stories that were based on the things that you see across the other side Golan Heights as that's where the vineyards are he spoke about things like fishing and vineyards and seeds you can look in these hills and soon find a little mustard seeds and see the very things that Jesus talked about so many of his miracles happened on these banks right here he's a miracle working God and in mark chapter 4 for example that's where here the storm blew up and to the stay you'll seed on the right weather this storm blow up on this water but he calmed that storm and it was just right here on the other side when he went across to Ghaderi and that's where he came across the man in the cemetery who was absolutely ruled by demon spirits and who would break the chains and run around naked and was completely out of control and right over there is where Jesus cast those demons out and it was right here not so far across there where he took the little boys fishes and the loaves and fed a crowd of thousands we're in the area this is where all of those things happened it was right here it was in Matthew 17 that it tells us that he sent Peter out to find a fish with their taxes in it in his mouth I mean it's crazy it was just right here in Matthew chapter 7 where he was healing all sorts of second in chapter 6 of Mark just up here's an actual fact where after he had fed thousands with one little boys lunch that he walked on the water that's when they thought they were seeing a ghost so so many of his miracles happened here do you believe that he could still do miracles here tonight do you believe that the Saint Jesus Christ is alive today seated at the right hand of the Father because I have an expectation tonight the we're gonna see miracles happen I want you to believe with me that we will see miracles happen tonight you see we believe in a God who is alive I think about where we are the context of where we are not far over those hills is Syria it's not much more than a few miles away and you think about the world we live in and the message we have and the message we have has never been more needed that it's needed right now anyone believes that it was right here he met his closest companions four of his disciples he called to follow him from right here of course including Peter who was fishing and so much of it happened right here that's Sermon on the Mount their first sermon that he preached in an amphitheater not too much different than this one maybe not having the plastic chairs but it was in that place that he gave what is a dangerous declaration it was dangerous only because it was the antithesis of what the law had said and suddenly what Jesus was speaking about was an entirely different an entirely different message I'll read you those verses to remind you Matthew chapter 5 verse 2 to 12 so then Jesus opened his mouth and taught them saying blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven and blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake rejoice and be exceedingly glad for great is your reward in heaven but so they persecuted the prophets who were before you it was an old message made new but I say to you he says and each time Jesus spoke it would seem that he said the upside down when it came to the wisdom he gave compared with what perhaps people have been taught in the Old Testament five times he said you've heard it said but then he said that I say and what he said turned what was conventional wisdom upside down so it's the upside-down way of the kingdom not only did Jesus here minister not only was it here that there were so many of Jesus miracles and that only was it here that Jesus met so many of his closest companions and called many of his disciples and even after he was resurrected in John chapter 21 their Jesus returned to here and again find them fishing and tell them that if they put their net on the other side they would catch so much more and he made them breakfast I mean all of that was here but it was also here that he challenged us which is really a message that's not just to do with external behavior not just to do with laws we keep but to do with what the Prophet Jeremiah had told us what happened and that is there would be a message that would be written on our hearts and that the law now would be written on our hearts so suddenly became a heart message not just a law message instead of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth and became turn-the-other-cheek and I'll say it again imagine if the world in which we're living in today we could just allow a little of that message to get through what a different place the world would be that's why what you carry as believers is so powerful and so important it's where all of a sudden instead of just talking about not killing and not committing adultery suddenly Jesus are saying don't even get angry and don't allow lust to get into your heart he just started talking all about the heart - and I did become turn the other cheek and it wasn't all of a sudden only love your neighbour now it was love your enemies as well this is still a big challenge for us today these are still things that really are confounding when you think about how they could be so simple in yet so powerful and I believe today that what was his ministry is now our ministry we are the light of the world we can take everything that we know about what Jesus accomplished here with his disciples the people he reached and the lives he changed all of a sudden blind people could see and paralyzed people could walk and all of a sudden lepers were clean and those who were sick were healed lives were transformed people found answers through Jesus Christ this is the message you carry this is the message I carry that's why we can be here today free worshiping a Living God because of Jesus because of all the Jesus accomplished and I want to encourage everybody here to have the faith to believe that tonight the God that we serve does have the answers for the world in which we love does have the answers in our own personal world and our own families in their own homes in our own lives that we can really believe that everything that we know about Jesus then can still be our experience with Jesus now I love the fact that when Jesus walked these banks that wherever he went he found people and wherever people with they found him and it was the people of religious frowned upon the whosoever's the everyday people maybe people like you and I they're the people who were just drawn to Jesus and Jesus of course was drawn to them so much happened here some has happened around here so many things where maybe for some even since Sunday school you learned the stories but let's have the stories burning in our heart and let's believe the stories still haven't finished one of the things I love about the Acts of the Apostles is that they never stop x31 they're still happening now so we the church today we are the representatives this message that Jesus preached this Ministry of Jesus now that at our ministry that's with fire in our hearts keep living the kind of lives for Jesus Christ where we're making a difference in the world around and about us when we take that upside-down way of the kingdom and we turn what perhaps is the world's way up on end and preach a different message the message of Jesus a message of grace a message of love a message of goodness a message of hope a message of power amen and it's all because of Jesus it's all because of Jesus there is no other name like the name of Jesus the earth will you need a miracle in relationships maybe you need a miracle in the condition of your own soul all I know is that the Jesus who performs so many miracles here can still perform miracles with you tonight every person who's come all the way to Israel from other parts of the globe I don't believe you just came here for it to her I believe that God's got more for you than that I believe he wants to meet with you here I believe the Holy Spirit was to do something of people's hearts can I say heaven oh man gonna hear another amen every person who need is a miracle in your life would you raise your hand right now keep them raised lovely you and we know you are the miracle worker but all we know that where we stand best testimony to so many of them incredible miracles that Jesus performed in his three years of ministry on earth and Lord we believe today that you're still a miracle working God so with faith in our hearts we reach out to you hello I speak miracles into people's lives Lord spirits of miracles physical miracles material miracles miracles in whatever area of life it is that people needs them but I pray to note that people truly do hear from heaven I pray tonight Lord that you truly will speak powerfully into people's hearts but I believe to hear testimonies of you tonight meeting people at their point of need doing the miraculous turning things around working the always want to make sure that we give every single person that is here the opportunity to really respond to what this whole night is about and that incredible message we just heard and the God that we're singing about and really make a decision to accept who Jesus is and enter in that relationship of following him because the truth is God he sent his son to die on a cross for you and for me because He loves us but not only to die in that cross but for three days later he rose him up again amen and the reason that he did all of that he did it so we could understand that we are forgiven from our past from the mistakes from all the things that were maybe not so proud of him he did it so he could understand the purpose that we have on this planet today and the incredible future and plans that he has for our lives he did all of that so we could understand his grace that covers us through every season and then we could experience and know his love his love that the Bible talks about is show great that there's nothing that can separate us from his love and what that literally means for us is doesn't matter who you are tonight it doesn't matter where you come from Jesus knows you and he loves you and accepts you just the way that you are it's the most incredible thing amen and the crazy thing about all of this is the only thing that we have to do is accept him alive Romans 10:9 makes it so clear for us that if we were just confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead then we'd be saved and right now in this moment I'd love the privilege and honor of leading people in that prayer of accepting who Jesus is the greatest miracle of all and receiving his salvation so I just want to ask just for a moment if everyone could close your eyes and bow your head just so you can take a moment and think about where it is that you stand with Jesus and I'm very confident that there's many people here tonight and you can say yes JD I've made that decision you know we also opened this night up to the public and maybe someone brought you along dragged you along and maybe heard about what was happening in you know this is the first time you've truly heard about who Jesus really is and his incredible plan for your life or or maybe you find yourself here tonight and at some stage in your life you were following Jesus but for whatever reason you stopped that pursuit of him you've turned your back on him but I just simply want to remind and encourage you that Jesus has never and will never turn his back on you he loves you and accepts you just as much as he ever has and maybe tonight you just want to make that declaration come back into relationship with him but especially you've never ever prayed this most incredible prayer of accepting Jesus I'm simply going to count to three and if you want to say JD include me in that prayer just when I count to three lift up your hand and then I'll lead you in the greatest prayer you'll ever pray does that realize close everyone's thinking about Jesus if you want to make that decision to accept Jesus why don't you lift up your hand on one two three it's incredible I can see hands raised everywhere but we don't want anyone to miss out on the greatest miracle of all tonight so if that's you you want to join in this prayer why don't you quickly lift up your hand it's incredible so many people here's what we're gonna do I'm gonna lead you in this prayer line by line and if you've lifted up your hand I want you to repeat this after me but as a family we're all gonna say this together so repeat after me say Jesus I thank you that you love me I thank you that you died on the cross and you rose again for me I'm sorry that I've sinned against you please forgive me come into my heart give me a brand-new start I think you that you now live in me and I'll follow you the rest of my days amen amen come on could we congratulate people tonight for making the greatest decision and that is to accept new Jesus really is you know we're about to keep seeing tonight we're not done quite yet but one thing we really want to encourage you especially if you've made that decision tonight around three things that are really important to help you on this journey the first thing is to make sure you tell someone that you lifted your hand or if you prayed that prayer and you really meant to maybe it's someone that brought you here tonight or a family or a friend remember that you know is in relationship with Jesus you tell them about this decision because we're never created to do this alone and the second thing that is really important is to get a hold of the Bible anyone loves God's Word I love God's Word and it's so important that we don't just have a Bible but we actually read it because that's when we learn how to live this thing out as followers of Jesus and the third and final thing that we are so passionate about is to get along and join a local church you know we love the local church and we believe the truth that God says that when we build his house you'll always build our house and so as we grow together as a community believers that's when we truly can learn about who God is and what he's called us to do amen so come on one last time can we just thank God for what he's doing in this place amen is anybody grateful the JD looks like Jesus Jesus didn't wear glasses though not that we know both skinny jeans someone take them I never believed them on and it's so awesome to be here I know I just pray that however you came to be here tonight but just in Israel maybe it is like JD said you just kind of someone dragged you along tonight or whatever it is but and I pray that this time would be so much more than you're expecting and what I love about God is he always moves in the unexpected in fact I think about all the stories of Jesus and what he did around here and he constantly never showed up where people were thinking he never did the things that people were expecting or people were wanting he did something different something new something better and I believing that God's gonna do that for you and huh we don't have to wait for it I'm believing that tonight that God can show up in ways that just take what you're expecting to go to a whole different level sometimes that's I can seem shocking that was unexpected but grateful but um yeah I'm just believing you know didn't the Bible every single time you see this word over and over behold behold behold and it means to stop and take notice as if the writer is saying hey like stop for a second I really want you to get this next thing I'm about to say and I feel like if more than ever right now God is just saying to his people all around the earth the whole stop I want you to see what I'm doing right here right now and sometimes it might look like everything's going this way or that way but God is in the middle of it he's always been the man in the middle of Jesus he's always being there doing what he did standing in the gap making away and so I pray that tonight and we would have a behold moment that whether it's a year and now whether it's out about checking out these sites that we would see the story of god at work not just way back when but here and now in your life what he's doing what he's still doing what he's still to do in Jesus
