is opportunity in Salesforce so the information about the actual sale stores in the Salesforce opportunity and in short you can say that a Salesforce opportunities are the ongoing day and we can convert the qualified leads into opportunity in Salesforce so let's learn how to convert a lead into an opportunity in a Salesforce lightning so here I open my Salesforce account and by default it is opener lightning edition and there are two ways to convert the lead to opportunity in Salesforce lighting we will discuss each of them so let's discuss the first one in which we will use the converted button to convert the lead to an opportunity so for this we firstly have to click on this app launcher then you have select any app or either you can directly search for the tab lead so let's go with the first way I search for First the app here I choose the marketing app now from this tab list I click on the leads so here you will get the list of leads that are recently viewed click on this drop down arrow and click on all you will get the list of all the needs that we have in our record so for example here I select a lead that is a background and I want to convert this into an opportunity so here we have to click on this record so I click on it first it redirects to the page of the background to convert this lead to an opportunity we will click on this converted lead status button so here is the button you have to click on it it automatically gets removed and then you have to click on the select converted status button so here I click on it here are the pop-up page will appear on the screen and here we have to update the opportunity name we get three options of a account contacted opportunity we can convert the lead to account contact and opportunity but in this video we only learn how to convert the need to an opportunity for this I move to the opportunity here we have to create a new or either you can choose the existing one so from create a new show some by default opportunity name you can extend it or you can completely erase it and create the new name so here I add some words to it like complete okay and then after filling it you simply have to click on the convert button so I click on this convert button it will redirect to the another page where it shows the link of the newly created opportunity so it create a account contact and opportunity both so it so here we will have also create a new opportunity or choose existing one if you want so let's try to choose the existing one this one is not working so far choosing the existing opportunity you have to firstly choose the existing account if you don't want to choose it you want to choose the existing opportunity so let's try this method here suppose I choose the Walmart now you can see that you here the option of choosing an existing operation to get activated so it shows you that the one opportunity match detected so it shows the status to the close and converted and to convert it you have to search click on this convert button so it shows me the error also you can see that it is showing that you have to choose the existing contact also or you either have to create a new one so you can choose it so from the list here we have let's say I choose the robot but there is a no name in the context so here I choose this one and now if you now you have to click on the reward button so it shows you the help please choose the existing operation or create the new one so here I choose this one and now I click on the convert option and here you can see the specific contact must be parented by a specific account so it's very complicated procedure to convert the lead to an opportunity by using an existing information if you want to use this one you have accurate information for this thing about the account and the contact and the opportunity so that if you don't have such kind of information you simply go with the new one so here I create a new one Walmart take I write the name Walmart tech for it and I simply click on this convert button and from this I also clicked on all such options so the error gets resolved so here I click on it and you can see that show me the link of the account contact and the opportunity so if you want to go to the leads click on it or otherwise you can go to the opportunity all so by clicking on this link so we have learned how to convert the lead to the opportunity using the convert option in Salesforce lightning so now we will learn how to convert the lead to an opportunity in Salesforce classic also so firstly we have to move to the classic edition for this you have to click on your profile and here you will get the option offer switch to a Salesforce classic and from here you either select the app or directly go to the leads tab so I want to directly choose the leads tab in this case so I click on leads now you have to click on this go so it will show you the all the leads as all is already selected here so now I want to convert one of the lead to a opportunity so I have to select one so I select this one Park Mary now you have to click on this convert button so click on this convert button it redirected to the page of a convert lead so here it has account name opportunity name converted status task info priority status and all these red line fields are the mandatory you have to select it so I only want to work with the opportunity one so I set the opportunity name to work so here I enter the name technique call I leave this many data spaces as it is I don't fill up as we only want to convert the link to our opportunity so I fill up my opportunity name address of the field remain as it is so when I click on this convert button it doesn't show you any error if you leave these fields as it is so here you can see that it shows you the message the lead was already converted so if the lead is already converted to the opportunity you can't create it again you so I choose for the another lead so I go back and select another one so here I select the David design now I click on this SIM card button done and from this I want to name it as a we use in entertainment crops thick and I click on this reward button by leaving all the many replay Fields as it is and you can see that it doesn't show any error and it redirected to the opportunity page successfully and when you scroll down here you will get that the opportunity means and here is the contact name so with this we have learned how we convert the lead to opportunity in Salesforce classic and in the whole video we have learned to convert the
