specifically here in denver but across the country as well there's a huge demand for construction labor in general so whether that's that's all the trades workers that's masons carpenters dry wallers mechanical workers sheet metal plumbing electrical everything down to laborers and truck drivers and engineers designers pretty much everybody in involved in construction is short on workers right now we find a lot of the people that do well in construction are really good at using their kind of using their hands and they want to see what they're creating they want to see something go from just being on paper to be in a huge building and stand back and say hey look you know i was i was a part of that and so anyone that's really kind of good with their hands and wants to feel rewarded with being able to see what they did i mean construction is a great place for for those type of folks the construction industry believe it or not is one of those industries that is ever changing but always busy i think as we go back and think about our childhood and construction we think of somebody outside pouring a foundation and building a house and you know working out in the elements and while that still holds true today more and more of our homes are being built inside of warehouses using high-tech um systems uh precision cutting systems those type of things and so you're out of the elements now but still building a home and now you are building homes literally three four a day in some of these warehouses it's an exciting growing fast-paced industry that offers a lot of growth there's a lot of technology that's going into buildings with how much we're modeling we model all those building systems before we build them in 3d and computer models and make sure there's no collisions and and that everything's going to fit and then we were able to build it off-site and bring it on bring it on site and connect a few pieces and it just goes so much smoother and faster than it has been that's one of our largest challenges it's one of our clients largest challenges are finding people that know how to use all the various tools whether it be a nail gun or various types of saws hammers tape measures believe it or not reading a tape measure is not as easy as people think it is and so just those those little skills are imperative so that they can get started and be productive right away because they are our clients can invest more in their salary as opposed to training programs so i absolutely would recommend um for a variety of reasons to get that education on on there but also to increase your starting salary out there in the you know in the market looking for new workers to find folks that are 16 17 18 they've already got some experience and some knowledge of construction and that they want to be involved and they want to have a career in construction they want to learn a trade it goes a long way when we're going to invest in those people to come on board and you know continue the training cycle and you know really run them through the our programs and put them out on job sites i mean it just really puts them that much more ahead of the pack when we know they've already been exposed to it and they're interested in it and it's something that they want to do for you know for a career
