[Music] lead magnets gated content all the things that are the best parts about a website which is getting leads through the website that's what we're gonna talk about right now man yes dude the stuff that ends up in sells people's hands to help you make money like now we're talking there it is let's amp this up to a 10 baby yeah oh well okay so think about it like this the first goal of a website is to gain attention educate consumers and get people to the website right but then once they're at the website the point is what who do you mind will become a lead exactly you got to try to get the lead out of that individual now what league magnets and gated content pieces all those are is what i would call a soft conversion the difference between a hard conversion and soft conversion is very simple a hard conversion is i'm interested in talking to you about medicare plans up went in yeah yeah a soft conversion is is i download your gated pdf that talks about the 10 mistakes that this particular county um or people in this particular county are making when choosing a medicare plan or whatever yeah right so which one has more buyer intent the one that reached out for information or the one that did the lead magnet the one that reached out i think reached our information that's exactly right yeah so that's why we call the hard conversion to soft conversion right but these people have come to your site so if we don't have an easier entry point to get their contact information in the form of gated content or something like that then those people are going to leave our site without any interaction at all so now if someone downloads a gated content say the 10 common mistakes that people make when choosing a medicare plan that's probably a decent prospect yeah yeah okay so the the purpose of the gated content is really secondary to getting the people to the site but once the once the foundational content's there the content engine is moving you're seeing the overall increase in actual traffic the next step is to increase your actual lead flow by implementing data content pieces you a good salesman can convert a downloading a pdf or a guide into a good lead sometimes people i've heard their lead or their closing ratio is really the exact same as someone that downloads a piece of gated content versus somebody that actually comes in with a contact form yeah yeah and i love that uh i love when we get something where they've they've they're like okay i'm downloading a final expense script that's for leads you know or whatever yeah right yeah they're working leads they're wanting to work them better they get it um a lot of sites don't have enough gated content lead forms they forget that once you got them there let's eventually make them a customer that's exactly right that's that right and you can also set this up in analytics to where each time they download a piece of gated content then that shows up as a conversion analytics and then in that conversions tab you can go in and say let's just say you have 15 pieces of gated content like one of the clients that i'm thinking of right now has like five pieces of gated content and then they've got other conversion points like mobile-friendly phone calls they've got contact form just in general and like lead form on the site i would say 40 to 50 of the overall conversions from the site are coming from gated content pieces yeah now the way we have it set up is is if you go through multiple pieces of gated content that's not counting as a multiple lead so like literally when you add another piece of gated content and you get let's just call it 40 conversions that month from that piece of gated content that's 40 conversions that you probably wouldn't have got if you wouldn't have that piece of content yeah exactly right so that's how we've been able to get 2 300 leads a week yes through secure agent marketing security leads cody askins um and that's how it works so it's like to me this is kind of like the next step of once you understand foundational content supplemental content creating content creating all this stuff educating consumers then it's like go back implement the creative content pieces tie in the analytics get things moving yeah well it's one thing to be like hey jump up jump on my email list you know yeah fill out the form to get our newsletters i can blast you and spam you to death yeah and the other is like hey i'm going to give you something for your information if you're doing this you're going to download something you know i love that great point you want to be on the email list no i don't want to be a freaking email no i i don't want to be on my own emails yeah like like your emails when ca comes into my inbox i delete it not just do you delete it but the point is is like i don't want to be an email list yeah but i do want this piece of information and then if you email me i can opt out yeah i'm saying like that's how it's gonna work so you know in my opinion you know like five mis five common mistakes you know you can make when or uh ten of the biggest you know uh money mistakes you can make while choosing your medicare plan or whatever that type of gated content is easy to produce typically you know good to find comparing let's just say your particular county has two main plans that really are competing with one another or whatever here's you know comparing these two plans costs and benefits and all that that's a good piece of gated content as well yep five common mistakes et cetera that kind of stuff yes yes so i was like the word the number seven for some reason too with that kind of stuff or three seven tips to be a better yeah that kind of thing like you know even what we do is we'll do like an fe script or like a medicare script or you know all kinds of stuff so that if someone's downloading a medicare script that probably means that they need some marketing to call those leads right so did they say i want your leads no no but by downloading that piece of content we know that they probably need leads and then they told us what product type they're selling exactly man
