relate to search engine optimization it is how Google sends you traffic basically Google is constantly looking and reading over websites and trying to say where should these belong should this be higher on Google lower on Google is it even relevant and Google is is kind of crazy when it comes to SEO trust me I've been doing it for a long time and things are always changing but the way people search isn't really changing all that much there's local SEO or local search engine optimization and search SEO search optimization now it sounds crazy local think about look out your window anything that uh maybe you can't throw a rock that far but let's say reasonable driving distance is local SEO that is where you're fin you're finding or getting found locally so think about a lot of small businesses in your area finding you local versus search where you're writing content or adding these Pages where if somebody types in a very specific I want to find or MSP or it firm that specializes in law firms whatever it is that is really what we're going to be defining or going under going through in this video and the reasons are really really important and how to do them both are really important I'm going to show you guys examples of both so let's talk about what is SEO it is search engine optimization is making your website look like a big juicy steak to Google that's really what it is at the end of the day we want to make sure that we look really good to Google but who Google sends to us is really really important and we have to fully understand that in order to succeed when it comes to actually winning online so let's talk about local SEO cuz I think that is probably the the easiest for most of us and there's a lot of local businesses typically where we are and if they're not there's probably not that many competitors as far as msps go which means it's going to be super easy to rank now I'm going to share my screen here we're going to dive into some things now I just searched in it Company Charlotte North Carolina I live just outside of Charlotte if you're in the area you want to come say hi I'd love to love to grab a coffee with you but as I search this it Company Charlotte North Carolina you're going to see a bunch of different stuff you're going to see these sponsored ads you're going to see what's called a map pack where it's going to show you know the businesses in the area now you can go to Google my business and set this up and I would strongly encourage you to go set that up gives you a chance at ranking but down below is really what I want to focus on now people that are looking for Charlotte for for it companies in the area they are typically going to skip some of these like built-in indeed glass door not that important even design Rush top IT services companies in Charlotte these are just a they lists of companies there's really no homework done in them and there's no way that a company could possibly go through them all but what I do want to bring your attention to is a couple of these where you can see Charlotte IT company right this is another list Managed IT services charlot it North Carolina perfect or or IT solutions uh and Technology perfect this is what I want to focus on and if you look we have complete. networks slit companies.com and the reason we're seeing this page is because it says Charlotte IT company prioritizes core business functions with the most reputable it and it's all talking about Charlotte it and Charlotte technology it's still going to give the same information that you'd probably see on a bunch of different pages it's talking about where it's located it's talking about being the premier it Company in Charlotte what they have to offer when you partner with a leading Charlotte computer company what you can expect right manag Services cloud services cyber security it support health desk Network support it procurement business continuity consultancy Services it's got a ton of information on here and this is really really good this is almost like a landing page built into the website but the main goal of that is to rank for the key term of Charlotte IT company now I've pulled up Charlotte IT solutions now this one kind of has a slightly unfair Advantage because the company is called Charlotte IT solutions but even still they're ranking specifically for Charlotte IT solutions so when a business searches online hey I want to find a local it Company Charlotte IT services boom they're going to come up they've specifically built their entire page around that key term which only somebody local or somebody searching for services in that area are are going to be searching and this while you're while you're making this the great part about this is you can have just about any business do business with you now you all know I love niches and I always recommend niches but if you're just starting out and you really need the business I totally get creating content and pages on your website specifically to attract local businesses and that is how you do it there are just there's it's basically the homepage of your website or an amalgam right a combination of all the pages talking about what you do but specifically for that area and if you're like Harrison I am tired of writing don't worry you can use chat GPT and tell it hey I want to rank for this type of keyword this is what we do this is how we do it all and then it's going to basically combine all of that hopefully into a nice well-written page obviously you're going to have to do quite a bit of work on your end but hey it works and it's the easy way out I'm not just going to leave you with doing a lot of hard work out here but you want to have these out there and anything that you can have as far as local goes where it's local back links links from other companies in the area local reviews local ratings any other specific keywords maybe where you're based better yet I'm in Charlotte North Carolina as some would say maybe the South or even the Deep South guess what we use y'all y'all is a thing down here I probably would have never pegged myself as a northerner to be using the word y'all but it is is something so you can actually use stuff like that in your page it sends little notifications to Google saying hey you you probably know what's going on now you might not want to write y'all and everything but I'm sure that there is keywords verbiage phrases that you can use for your specific area so it's something to keep in in mind now let's talk about actual Google Search now I wrote MSP for lawyers and I could write just about anything I can write it for lawyers whatever it may up here you're going to see the sponsored shout out to Super Ops but we have a bunch of sponsored stuff down here Reddit maybe somebody specifically going to Reddit to talk about it right depending on what subreddit is it's actually the MSP subreddit ironically but we have Compass MSP carrot uh I assume it's carrot legal Scott and Scott LLP and I've already opened up several of these just to pre-load the pages so we have Compass MSP IT services for law firms leading Managed IT and cyber security for law firms they are specifically targeting law firms now this page doesn't have that much information on on it hint hint you could probably outrank them if you tried to to outrank them in all honesty but they have our locations a little page here and if you look at their URL it's Compass mp.com lealy iten services so that means anybody searching for MSP for lawyers is going to end up landing on this page which is exactly what they want want they want to make sure that this page converts extremely well but also they want people specifically lawyers searching for a MSP end up on this page and we can go through it carrot legal once again law firms uh depend on it support so this is probably fairly easy to outrank depending on some it metrics and I'll cover that in a future video MSP contracts as a service talking a little bit about it this could be gold for somebody trying to rank for the keyword for MSP for lawyers there is this is so simple to outrank and if you guys want I will absolutely hey I know Matt Nick ravish what's up Matt um but I will absolutely create a video going more in depth as far as SEO goes but you want to make sure you're doing some keyword research is it something that you want to rank for is it something you can rank for are you going to build links from other websites back to you right I always encourage msps while you might have a beautiful website you can always add where where you're serving especially if you want business locally you always need to talk about the industries you're serving and how you serve those Industries and then taking it one step further in understanding that local market or the intent behind the search what is that person looking for are they looking for somebody locally or are they looking for a very specific niche and I'm just using msps for lawyers there are so many out there msps for arcades for trampoline companies I mean it's crazy msps for manufacturing look around drive around you will see tons of opportunity out there but you have to understand your perfect client what they really want and then you can create the content for it so those are two types of pages that you need to make when it comes to your website it will make you infinitely more successful by focusing and spending a little bit of time on what you're going to get out of it what is that person thinking about when they're entering in information into Google and does your page match what they're searching for if they search that term would they get the value out of it now if you've at both of these I'd probably figure out how many words are on these I would go through figure out all of that information on there and then I would build a better page I would take all of that taken longer to rank articles than they ever have before it doesn't mean you can't rank just means you got to be a little more patient write that page let it sit for 3 6 n months even longer up to a year before you go back and adjust anything I know it's going to drive you crazy and you're going to watch it like a hawk and maybe Google AdWords or Google analytics or Google search console and you're going to sit there and watch it it's okay let it sit let it do it let Google do its work with the beautiful content that you have created and hopefully it's better than your leading competitors on those search topics and you will get tons more traffic traffic means more leads which means more customers love the heck out of you guys as always for making it this far in the video if you've made
