hey what is up guys it is Harrison Baron from growthgenerators.com now in this video I'm going to be sharing with you every single way that I could possibly think of including what I found on Google on how to prospect I have personally used every single one of these and I want to give you some insight on them this is going to be if you're struggling to find your next deal this is where you're going to find them doesn't matter if you've started out or you've already been in the game for a while and you're growing your MSP does not matter this is what nobody else wants you to know and this is the only video on the internet that I have found for you guys on where to go find your ideal prospects like I said 10 we're going to dive into it right now before I do I do want to mention two things really quickly number one I do have a free masterclass down below it's 50 minutes long five ways to make significantly more money in your MSP I appreciate everybody that's reached out seems networker it's my favorite thing to do because I like to talk to people as I'm sure you're probably like yeah I get it he makes a lot of YouTube videos so let me share with you guys where to go Prospect this is the Minecraft Chamber of Commerce this is near me over in Belmont North Carolina but if you are wherever you are chances are pretty good there is a local Chamber of Commerce the reason why I like Chambers of Commerce is one it's a way less pressurized like I need to go give somebody a deal or they need to give me a deal you can you can bump shoulders with politicians business owners in the area and ultimately every bit of money they make goes back into the community so if you live there you have a home in that Community they are doing everything in their power to make that Community amazing I am a part of several different chambers of Commerce because I truly believe in what they do and how they do it for the community but I get it it's not all about business so let's talk about some business some of the things that I like I like BNI and I like the tip just two different things letip has places all over the country same thing about BNI you know ybni about us you can go through it find out where a chapter is if you don't have a band eye or a tip around you the reason why I like these is because they do make a large emphasis on passing business back and forth it's cool but not for everybody if that's the case go to and Google networking groups near me I'm right outside of Charlotte there's plenty of them just go through and look for it if you join a chamber of commerce you can ask them like hey what other networking groups are you a part of they will tell you last but not least Meetup another great place you can find people meeting up especially in the same industry if you want to talk Target real estate agents if you want to Target food service if you want to Target the entertainment industry which I just heard of the other day super cool Target by the way racing Sims all that kind of stuff amazing it's probably in here there's probably some kind of Meetup for it now I get it not everybody wants to go through all of those there is some Secret Sauce behind this and I wasn't gonna give this out but I think I'm going to most of these cost some money usually about a hundred dollars usually a year like my Chambers of Commerce are usually like 300 bucks a year there are also different networking groups that are 300 a month plus some are a thousand dollars a month it does not matter but what I can tell you is the more money you spend the higher caliber people that are in there because they have the Expendable income I was in one that was 300 a month 3 600 a year it's kind of expensive but a lot of high rollers in there a lot of people that are my perfect or were my perfect client when we didn't have a niche they all had Fairly large businesses they all had a fair amount of employees they had 10 to 30 50 computers some some of them I think even had over 100 computers like dream clients all in there the more you spend the more you're going to get in front of your target market and people with money just some food for thought for you so number two is gonna be a referral program if you can build a referral program if you already have clients build out a referral program it has to be good enough that the person that is going to refer you gets something good in return and something they want fifty dollars for a meeting 200 for a signed agreement or a month free of your services if that person signs up a free computer if they sign up for a year whatever it may be get creative with a referral program there's tons of ideas out there go Google it or just come up with one yourself self you don't need to replicate what somebody else has you know your clients better than I will or anybody else ever will think about what they like maybe it's PlayStations maybe it's gaming computers for their kids who knows maybe you just hey we're gonna give you free Wi-Fi for the house whatever it may be think about what you can do as a referral program for other business owners or even non-business owners because everybody has friends who own a business and see what they would like and give that to them in exchange for a meeting and if you close that meeting they get a bigger prize number three is going to be content marketing so what is content marketing content marketing is literally just creating content over and over and over and over again it is blogs it is videos it is social media I'm gonna mention social media a couple times here but content marketing is just creating content there's no specific content you have to make if you don't like writing go make videos if you don't like making videos go do writing if you don't like either one of those start a podcast okay get creative with it so I put up YouTube here just to give you an idea YouTube is fantastic it is a faster way to grow in content marketing if you don't like doing videos or you don't like doing podcasting I do recommend blogging I do have an SEO course a lot of you guys have enjoyed that too uh I put my heart and soul on a lot of this kind of stuff but if you are looking to get a lot more traffic blogging huge YouTube huge and if you don't like either one of those go to make a podcast I know everybody's got one but just do one that makes it unique to you you don't need you know my thousand plus dollar setup of a nice camera the microphone the mixer the whole nine you could start out with everybody's got a phone in their pockets set up your phone start recording it's really not that hard but doing some kind of content marketing is really really important now the next two SEO kind of goes in hand in hand with content marketing but online advertising I spoke about in my last video If you haven't watched that definitely go watch that you need to go do some kind of online advertising if you don't like any of the other options the two that I would recommend Google ads why because of the search intent that person is searching specifically for either an I.T business in their in their area IT company that supports CPAs whatever it may be dial in your advertising Google's great because it's about that person's search intent when they go on Google and they type it in the other one I do like is Facebook you're going to get a lot less direct you know somebody super powerful looking for you but it's a good way to cover a lot of ground for cheaper either way go do it you have to have some kind of engine on the back end though to handle this you need a CRM that video is coming I promise you guys I've been kind of teasing that for a while now but you should go back check out that video learn the process that you need to have in order to make Facebook ads and Google ads effective otherwise you're just going to be pissing money away that money is going to go out into the ether and never come back because you have to have some kind of process from when they visit the landing page to a conversion to a your email list to a call to action to a meeting to a sale that's the whole process I break it down way more in the last video just trying to get through this kind of stuff next is going to be social media it's great same thing with content marketing it goes kind of hand in hand so social media is just a part of it tick tock is another good one threads is another new one that's that's coming up Twitter I would avoid Facebook can be really good for just posting content Instagram unless you're not making videos I would probably avoid Instagram and Facebook just posting super generic your server closet looks amazing you find it cool I find it cool but your target market probably doesn't find it cool they might want to see some of those pictures but if you're just posting the same thing over and over and over again and there's no video it's kind of a rough one you got to get into the video content in one way or another or blogging or podcasting those are going to be the main areas now the next couple go hand in hand so it's email marketing and that is cold emailing and cold calling why because they they're if you have an email list you should be emailing them but if you don't which a lot of people don't you need to do some kind of cold Outreach there's called email Outreach and there's called calling cold calling is much faster much more aggressive you will go quicker with cold calling the problem is it's not exactly the most fun either way in both you have to build some kind of process that is going to work for you that is a script that is a sequence that you go through whatever it may be you need to have that I do mention it in my online course I teach you all that kind of stuff as well on how to perfect that I'm going to give you the secret sauce right now in order to find those leads there's a platform called lead scrape I love lead scrape it is fantastic what it does is it scrapes leads from the internet and what does that mean it'll go through it'll find out who your target market is and you basically plug it in who your target market is what city state area that you want to Target and you run it and it'll kick back names phone numbers email addresses locations social media profiles the whole nine it is fantastic you take the software and you couple it with one of these three either lemlist which is a cold emailing platform instantly another cold emailing platform both of them are fantastic I've used both they're great and the last but not least is kixie which is a cold calling platform I did pull up pricing on this one just so it's super transparent don't get anything other than the 95 one these are worthless um they're good but they're not nearly as good as this you do have to pay quarterly it's 300 bucks but you can call up to 10 people at once the first person that answers the phone it hangs up on everybody else and you speak to that person so you can call thousands of leads extremely quickly and have effective conversations now if you don't have any of this this is kind of a bonus but if you don't have any of these and you're like I don't want to do any of that I want to Target people who are really like my precise customer probably have already heard of me there's a platform called happier leads I use this platform I have deployed it for hundreds of my clients it is fantastic what it does is it reveals who is on your website and when they're on your website and how much time they're spending on your website and what pages they went to on your website this makes cold calling or just calling with your cell phone not using kixy or emailing so much easier because it'll show you exactly who's been on your website how many times they've been on your website just gonna see if I can find some screenshots on here I've done videos about this this software before because I really think it is an absolute Game Changer of a program it is so good it is so nice to know who is visiting your website I cannot recommend it enough because nobody wants to just call some somebody random be like hi this is Harrison I want to sell you IT services right you want to know that they've already heard about you hey this is Harrison I just saw you on my website do you have a few minutes to chat about your IT services so much better everything takes practice right I can't just bang that out pretty quickly if I didn't do it a thousand times already so I've covered cold emailing social Outreach the whole nine next is going to be strategic Partnerships if you can get in bed with Dell Lenovo HP conical Minolta like sonic wall Meraki Cisco it literally does not matter what vendor but if you can get in with them and have them send you leads because they get leads all the time for your area it is a infinite well of money I have known businesses that have hit seven figures by having a fantastic partnership with the with a salesperson at large company what happened is salesperson a large company gave them the opportunity to do the sale they go through they do the sale they do the rollout they do the deployment it goes swimmingly well the guy from big company says wow that went really really well I'm gonna send you another one and then another one and he just has a straight funnel of leads it's not that he doesn't want to send it to other people but if you do a knockout job for these companies they will send you leads it is fantastic how it works if you can find one of those companies that isn't already being poked and prodded by every other MSP out there and become really good friends with maybe a sales rep in your area or something like that they will send you business a little bonus for a strategic partnership and I know that some of these people are now offering MSP services or IT services whatever you want to call it break fixes but if you can get in with your local printer they are a gold mine and local phone company they are a gold mine for you even your internet service provider I've talked about this in the past but those I think those three or four people are worth their weight in gold take them out to lunch every single week because they will send you leads all the time they're constantly in people's environments they are a low threat they everybody likes them because they're always fixing their problems obviously they sell product that doesn't always work well but it is a super super easy way to go about this whole process if you can figure out a strategic partnership no brainer and we're on the home run here seminars and webinars huge if you can go get a local speaking gig do it if you can get a big speaking gig go do it if you need a webinar I like webinar Jam there's a ton out there I have no preference I also pulled up Zoom webinars it's like 15 a month extra if you already own Zoom but go through you're gonna get a ton of value from these create a webinar just like I have the webinar down below I'm a marketing person remember you're going to watch that webinar I'm going to get your contact information I'm going to send you emails and hopefully get you to buy my course because that's what I do that's the whole process behind all of this and then the last but not least is going to be your targeted audience or targeted Outreach if you can find who your targeted Market is I mean like perfect client using lead scrape using all of these platforms it will make your life a million times easier that is number 10. and the reason why I say that is because if you can figure out how to get in front of those people over and over and over and over again and add to your email list and send out emails on a regular basis like you should be doing good marketing over and over and over again it's going to make your sales process a million times easier if you don't have that which I didn't at the time when I took my company to a lot of money it's okay knowing how to do a sale is really really good even if you only get maybe one or two leads per month if you close half your leads and you get that close ratio extremely high you can still Feast right you can't live on one new customer a month but you get the point if you get four five six seven and maybe you get eight if you close fifty percent of them 400
