hi my name is phil matthew i'm coming to you from philantomplus.com i want to talk to you about the sales funnel and how it works in the offline world now when i think about a sales funnel it's something i never actually heard the term until i actually got involved in the online world and how and how it actually works in the online world but i started to relate to it first because of how it actually works in the offline world and i started to think about what the traditional business of traditional shopping for example you know a sales funnel when i go into a a grocery store i walk in there and if you can imagine there's music going um there's a layout of shelves um some some products are down below some products are at the the mid level some products are up up high um and the actual uh people who make the products actually pay you know for that particular shelf space it's all designed it's all scientifically designed the way that they actually play the music the way that they take you from one aisle to another i think about my local news agency and power there that's actually situated you know i have to work a walk rather a certain distance to actually pick up the paper and before i actually pick up the newspaper i have to walk past x amount of products so it's actually a funnel and it's designed so i'm actually going to be um looking and browsing and if i think about mcdonald's you know they have a an aspect of their sales funnel you know when you actually buy you know maybe the chips not that if you buy something and they'll say you know do you want fries with that so it's what they call an upsell so i'm talking in the traditional uh you know shopping world and so there is actually a sales funnel a sales process even to the point where the the shopkeeper um or the assistant and they they they may be uh educated enough or aware enough or business savvy enough to actually ask you um you know you know would you like this or would you like that just extra thing so that that's uh what do you think about that's the sales funnel in the traditional world and and so all that's ever happened uh when i got online is they've actually applied that uh you know in the online world so i hope you sort of got something out of that got some perspective um on the sales funnel in a traditional uh world um i look forward to seeing you on another video but before i go what i'd like to do is just click that like button and uh leave a comment if you will on what your experiences are and certainly subscribe to our channel we do videos on monday wednesday and friday thanks and have a great day bye to actually segment your list and that means separate uh the group into smaller groups and less small groups so what that means is that you're going to have eventually some buyers some buyers on your list so that's a different
