successful funnel that i know of from start to finish in order to help you start selling more copies of your online course as quickly as possible now for those of you who are new to my channel thank you for watching my name is ryan ford and i teach i create content in order to teach online coaches and course creators how to scale their sales while working less and just before we dive into this this can be from wherever you choose i personally always recommend traffic from organic content marketing because the engagement and the conversion rates are so much better but if you want to run paid advertisements again that is entirely up to you so to start off with firstly you will have your traffic source which is stage one your traffic source is then sent to your lead magnet now for those of you who do not know what does not know what a lead magnet is this is where you offer people something in exchange for their email address so it could be a free mini course it can be a pdf guide just like what i offered you a moment ago it could be a quiz it could be many different things the trick to making a good lead magnet work is that it must has to be related to the original piece of content that you are offering them inside of and they must be irresistible to your audience it's no good making a lead magnet that is not related to the original piece of content that your audience is consuming because they won't want it and it also has to be something that they would be really interested in so interested that they are willing to give you their email address in order to gain access to it so for example i help online course creators and coaches with scaling their sales so if i was to offer a lead magnet inside of my content and it was something related to gadgets that would make your car go faster none of my viewers would be even remotely interested in something like that because it doesn't relate to the content that i make for people to consume so whatever content you make for your audience whether it is a paid ad or an organic piece of content you need to make sure that your lead magnet is related to that piece of content now on to the next stage so once you have sent your traffic to your lead magnet landing page if you have done a good job with the lead magnet you should be converting somewhere in the region of between 20 to 30 of those visitors into signing up now by signing up i mean giving you their email address in order to get their hands on the lead magnet whatever that lead magnet may be that you are offering if you are sending traffic to your lead magnet page from paid advertising you can expect that conversion rate to be much much lower because like i said earlier i'm not a huge fan of paid advertising in my opinion they cost cost way too much money the conversion rates are horrible and the engagement is terrible and i learned that the hard way of course many thousands of dollars hard way so be warned organic content marketing is from my experience and my understanding so much better but the con is that it takes much more work on your part so moving on once somebody has signed up for your lead magnet you should then send them directly to a thank you page on that thank you page you should display either a video or a message that says something to the effect of congratulations your lead magnet is now on its way to your email inbox please check your junk or spam folder in case it ends up there but while you are here i also have an incredible free workshop where i break down the core fundamentals of xyz so insert there whatever it is that you are helping people with inside of your niche to watch this workshop simply click here and then you can either include a link for them to click on or you can already have the video workshop playing it's like on autoplay explaining to them in the video just before the workshop begins and what i suggest that you then have is a pre-recorded workshop or masterclass training where you dive deep into your subject for somewhere between half an hour to an hour and then at the end of which you can then pitch one of your products or your services so for example it could be a course it could be a coaching program whatever it is that you offer to people you're going to pitch that to the people who stick around and watch the workshop or the master class until the very end that is what you should have on the thank you page once people sign up for your lead magnet the reason this works so well is because this is the only point in the entire funnel where you will have 100 viewer rates it's unavoidable now not every single person who signs up for your lead magnet will even bother to see the lead magnet not every person who signs up will see your emails but on the thank you page 100 of the people who sign up for your lead magnet will see this page they can't avoid it it's inevitable because the moment they sign up the moment that they opt in they are sent directly to this page so it's a great opportunity to nurture these people by offering some form of in-depth training that you know they will at least see if they choose to ignore it that is absolutely fine but at least every single person who opts in will be exposed to this training so take advantage of that make sure that you have some form of an offer on your lead magnet thank you page because this is the only time like i said a moment ago in the entire funnel where 100 of the audience of the sign ups will see this page okay so moving on from the thank you page you will also your email marketing will have also delivered the lead magnet whatever it was to the email address of everybody who was signed up for like like i said just then your email marketing software would have done this for you now side note i use convertkit for my email marketing which is the best in my humble opinion so if you are looking for a good email marketing software where you can do everything that i speak about inside of this video convertkit would be my recommendation there are several i recommend convertkit now once the lead magnet was delivered you then want to set up a second email to be sent out exactly one hour after the original lead magnet was delivered now in this email i call it the over deliver email you want to give your new email subscriber something else for free in addition to the lead magnet they that they already have that you've already delivered it can be an additional guide a video some tips or advice anything that you want but it has to be free and it has to tell them that you wanted to give them something extra as your way of saying thank you for them downloading the original lead magnet this is what i call the over delivery email you want to show the new subscribers that you are generous and there is no better way to do that than to over deliver and give them even more helpful information that helps them to solve their problem now following this the next email you want to schedule for 24 hours after the over delivery email in this email again you are going to include some form of content that is going to teach them and help them so it could just be text it could be a video could be a link to one of your blog posts or youtube videos whatever it is this is again just another helpful piece of content that teaches something else to your email subscriber but at the end of this email you need to sign off by asking the subscriber if they have any questions and if they do then please respond to the email and you will reply to them as quickly as possible now this works great because it opens up the door for your subscribers to feel that they can reach out and talk to you it lets them know that you're a real person and that you are there to help them and research statistically shows that once somebody opens a communication gate away with you on a one-to-one basis the chances of them becoming a customer increase drastically because this is a very personal point of contact which increases the no like and trust factor between you and the customer now the no like and trust factor being that people only buy from other people that they know that they like and that they trust so if you can get your subscribers to reach out to you and you respond to them helping them that instantly increases the no like and trust factor which in turn increases the chances that they will become a customer of yours it really it really strengthens the relationship so make sure at the end of this email you sign off with an invitation of some kind that lets the subscriber know that they can reach out to you if they have a question or a problem and that you will respond to them this is a great gateway from turning a subscriber into a very warm lead now after this you want to schedule another email to be delivered again to be delivered sorry again 24 hours after the previous email so we're now on to the fourth email so we have the original lead magnet email which is delivered instantly the over delivery email which is delivered one hour later 24 hours later we have the open ended reply with a question email i've just spoken about now we transition into our product introduction email this is the fourth email in this email you now want to introduce your product or service that you offer to the subscribers now whether it's an online course or a coaching program or service now you let the reader know that they have a product available or that you have a product available i should say and how it can help them to achieve their transformation and be sure to include a link to the product sales page which you should already have set up that will cover all of the details in much more depth should the reader be interested and want to check it out so that's email number four and that is delivered on the third day the next email so now email five should be sent again 24 hours after the email number four um inside the fifth email now is when you want to introduce your social proof so any reviews that you have from previous customers now is the time to share them with your email subscriber now this helps to reinforce the fact that your product or your service is good and actually works social proof and reviews from previous or current customers are a magnificent way of giving anybody who is on the fence about your product or service that final little nudge that they need in order to become a customer of yours because it shows them that you can help them to get results because you've already helped others in their position achieve transformation and if you have already helped others you can help them also it simply reinforces the fact that you are the right person for the job and finally so we are on to i think it's the sixth email the sixth and final email in the initial sequence which you should send again 24 hours after email number five is a reminder email that lets them know that if they do not choose to buy your course or your program right now they are going to miss out on the bonuses now for an online course this could be additional video lectures or a bonus course for a coaching program this could be an extra session with you or it also includes an online course as well as your original coaching sessions just make sure that they know if they do not purchase the product within the next 24 hours they will miss out on the bonus content that disappears and will not be offered again this is what we call scarcity which forces people to make a decision based upon a time frame basis because if somebody knows that your product or your service is available indefinitely or forever they can they will procrastinate as humans we all do it we procrastinate and they will simply tell themselves that they will purchase it tomorrow or the next day or the next week or the next month or whatever suits them and there will be no urgency or rush on their end it can be put into the category of oh i'll do that whenever which usually means never now i'm sure you can relate to what i'm saying but if you let them know that although your basic products or services available whenever the bonus content is only available for the next 24 hours this causes them to make a decision there and then because they now feel like they don't want to miss out on the bonus course or the bonus coaching session or whatever it is that they're going to get with you as an extra bonus it forces them to take action and make a decision now because they know that within 24 hours that deal goes away for good and they've missed out on a great deal now from my own experience having sold well over a hundred thousand online courses at this moment in time and worked and coached hundreds of clients on a one-to-one basis teaching them the exact same thing this is a very simple yet very effective funnel for any type of niche it's six emails sent over five days so to summarize you have you have your traffic source you then have your landing page you then have your thank you page which has a video workshop or webinar included you then also deliver your lead magnet to their email inbox instantly then one hour later you have the over delivery email then 24 hours later you have the email with the invitation for a question at the end then 24 hours after that you introduce your product pitch your first product pitch then 24 hours later you have your second product pitch with social proof and then 24 hours later you have the final product pitch with bonus the bonus product scarcity added so it's six emails in total delivered over the course of five days so day one teach day two teach again and then days three four and five it's pitch pitch pitch very easy to follow and it's very effective at converting email leads into paid customers of your online course or your coaching services after which you can then continue to email your list you should do the ones that have gone through your initial onboarding funnel which i've just broken down for you i'd say a minimum once a week just updating them and sharing them with your latest piece of organic content and then i would say that you can pitch a new product or service to them on an average between six to 12 times a year so maximum once a month minimum once every two months that from my own experiences and from the experiences of working with hundreds of my own coaching clients selling their own courses or coaching services in every type of niche that you can imagine that is the most effective and simple funnel in order to sell your own
