marketing funnels are sleazy because standard marketing terminology objectifies humans into things like leads and buyers and sales it's just gross right instead of thinking the people that you interact with in your business whether they are engaging with you on social media or they purchase a product from you as full multi-dimensional humans instead we want to think of funnels and marketing funnels and marketing in general as ways that you can build and deepen and nurture relationships with other humans so let's just start that off right out the bat and maybe you even want to give it a new name so instead of saying that you're working on your marketing funnel or your sales funnel you want to be instead making creating your own client attraction formula and instead of talking about that funnel and using that terminology you want to think of you getting more people transforming more people's lives so if you do not know what a normal marketing funnel looks like you can just Google a nice little picture or maybe we'll include something somewhere on this screen right here it's just like if you think of a funnel it's that nice little inverted triangle and at the top there it is into your DMs or whatever and leave and never see you again this is when we're thinking about the post purchase time period with um your buyers as being just as important as the pre-purchase period just like it's a very good idea to keep going on dates with your spouse after you marry them right it's not just like oh you get married happily ever after no you have to consistently nurture the relationship and deepen the relationship after that the ring is on the finger so your marketing funnel your client attraction formula can be as simple as posting on Instagram a few times uh people dming you about your offer uh sending them a booking link to get on your calendar and doing a sales call with them it can be as simple as that it's not something that has to have all of these pages and all these automations however you will notice that as you start to grow your business there will there will naturally be a level of complexity that's added in just like any growing ecosystem so it's kind of like where uh when you're just getting started in business and you're or you're just selling one-on-one services to someone it's like you're an acorn being planted in the ground that's
