my name is hap almy i've been with best line equipment for one year and i'm in full line outside sales a typical day for me is i have a four county territory and i break my week up into into zones and i try and hit a zone each day i make a list of customers that i want to go see i you know visit them introduce myself to new customers see existing customers maybe stop by a few job sites if i can try and set up a lunch with a customer and then you know sometimes things pop up that aren't planned and i just kind of go with you know whatever needs to be taken care of that day i've been in sales for 21 years and so i've done a fair deal of traveling i enjoy getting to know the area i lived down near philly and i was raised in the poconos so my territory is an area that i haven't really spent a whole lot of time in sometimes actually it's good to get lost and then find your way around so that you know you're not always relying on gps to take you where you need to go there's a lot that i like about best line equipment number one it's like a big family we have our each individual branches but we communicate with everyone and then within each branch there's the service department the parts department you have trucking so there's a lot of camaraderie that goes along you know with your co-workers you know sometimes when maybe you're having a bad day you pop in and you say hi to some people and you maybe get to look at things from a different perspective everybody really works together to pull this off best line does a really good job of training their employees we have quarterly trainings and then we have a yearly training and they do that for all different disciplines they really give you the tools that you need to succeed and to be able to go out there and sound knowledgeable and know your stuff and be able to you know have intelligent conversations with your customers and it's always okay if you don't know something to to let them know hey i don't know this but i'm gonna go find out i'm going to find out from someone who does because if i don't know something there is someone within our organization that has many years of experience with whatever particular topic or piece of equipment that one of my customers may need to rent or to buy without you know everyone being all in we wouldn't be able to provide the level of service that we do for our customers
