of different functionality and the baseline idea of it is that it's a personal crm and that you can set different parameters up so that you can keep in touch with people on the types of basis that you want to so if you want to keep in touch with people often or not so often it just helps keep you accountable for your day-to-day life and keeps you in the loop with people that you may have thought you were keeping in touch with but aren't anymore so from a pricing standpoint there are free and premium options the free plan lets you have unlimited contacts up to 10 events and reminders and you can keep in touch with up to 15 contacts and there is a limited browser extension that goes along with it as well as a mobile and desktop app however the pro version has a exceptional amount of features there's both linkedin and facebook import and the browser extension is fully fledged there are better calendar integrations and honestly this is an application that can take your ability to keep in touch with others to the next level so if we go here to the top right and dive quickly into the sync and integrations we can see that there are google integrations google contact integrations gmail integrations linkedin integrations and those are just absolutely exceptional i personally have already linked my linkedin as well as my gmail accounts to it so if we go into my account we go into the section titled people we can see that there is a nice breakout of the different types of contacts that i had so i essentially imported everyone regarding linkedin on here as well as for an actual contact i put in chance here my co-podcast host on the rise project podcast and what we have here is just an exceptional amount of people that i now have the ability to keep in touch with just because of the connection that i made with them on linkedin i just like the fact that this essentially turns into a rolodex of different contacts which you know our relationships are a mess nowadays in the modern world and without something like this we can often have relationships go to the wayside because the two nice things about this application is it can help you leverage both your professional network and your personal and more casual network so obviously if you have things labeled out regarding these different people so if i took a contact in here and you can put people into different groups so essentially deepak was somebody who reached out and said that they enjoyed my content and i can add them to different groups and just a quick aside if you press ctrl k you can bring up the search command bar for this which is amazing you can create groups for contacts create contacts create event notes select all contacts select different contacts and add people to groups like this so i think it's an exceptional software in this sense and if we go back to people again i want to use chances as an example here to show what you can actually do regarding the last interaction we had so if we go here to this we can put a description obviously i record a podcast with this guy slam and at the last time i interacted with him was two days ago so if i press u i can change the last interaction date and i think it's nice that every time you talk to somebody you can put it into deck crm and then what you can do here is you can set a periodic keep and touch reminder for this context so every week it's basically going to tell me since i i talked to him a few days ago by december 7th i'm going to be told that i need to talk to him again and if i press h i can actually snooze this keep in touch until whatever day i want so i can actually set the last talk to date as december 1st because i spoke with him yesterday and then the nice thing about the linkedin integration that i want to point out is the fact that you can actually see the bio from their linkedin so if you maybe were trying to keep in contact for networking reasons this gives a nice overview of everybody now if you make a new contact you can manually do all these sort of things and i manually put in some things like his birthday as well as what other social networks he's on as you can see here i put in his instagram profile here but the nice thing about the linkedin integration is that it adds everyone's information here that is public knowledge and you could also add different events here in this field area what's really nice about this software is if you go into the timeline section you can actually see the past meetings that you maybe had so i obviously integrated my google calendar here and if we go to my youtube mastermind session for example i'm going to do a bit of a collaboration probably with david at some point so i can put him in here i pressed it it's gonna i can set the name david milan so the thing is if the contact had the actual like name a little bit easier it would figure it out so this is his contact information right here i could add in any of the custom linkedin fields i could say fellow content creator how often would i like to keep in touch with him you know it'd be nice if i kept in touch with him every month or so i think like for people who are in that space it's nice to just keep in touch with them every month so i can set here every month and it'll basically tell me that on december 5th i need to talk to him because it's been 27 days and then if i wanted to add his phone number i actually have his phone number i won't do that in this video i can add any of the different things for him if he ended up making a website i can do all these different socials for him i could i have him on linkedin i know that for a fact and then i could add any custom fields here as well uh create a category from a list of options you can also complete later different dates different just text fields there's a lot of different options here so we could actually do is i could press ctrl k and then i could go create group and then i could name this youtube or i can just actually do content creators so then what i could do here is i could take the icon make it a little uh video icon then add to deck so this would be a place where i could add different people so add context to contact creators i would like to add david milan here i had him on linkedin already so i actually did have him as a contact in here so as you can see now i have a contact in here so i have david in here it has all his information it said my keep in touch here and as you can see it already shows the fact that i had that meeting with him on november 5th and then when we have another meeting i'm sure he'll be there this friday when we have our monthly mastermind session so if i press set keep in touch it can go to every month and then it'll give me an indicator of when i need to keep in touch with them which funny enough uh two a couple days from now is a youtube mastermind session so that'll work out just fine so it's pretty cool and a little overwhelming actually is the fact that you can go into this network section and you can see up all of your different contacts and this huge network thing and obviously i can group this to all contacts just linkedin connections friends content creators and that would be an interesting view for me so if i went to friends for example it would end up just showing chance as you can see it's just him i have no friends another cool feature to point out is the fact that they do have a dax chrome extension so if we go to the chrome extension here we can log in so on linkedin with the chrome extension if we actually go here we can see that we can actually add different information while we're on linkedin to the profile so if i wanted to add a description last time we kept in touch obviously this is a different contact than the one that i had personally with chance because i just set it up as an example for the other one but if we want to keep up like with the other one if we change this to last interaction date was december 1st it'd change it keep in touch every week uh change this to friends at different events with the person add reminders for the person add some details what are his birthday birthdays june 4th we know this then we could also add any other custom fields we wanted any related contacts other people that are connected to him so i know other people that i have on linkedin so i can just i'm naming people off the top of my head that i ran with in college and as you can see then i can make related contacts and i could do a group of former teammates or something like that so what's really cool by the way about this active sync that we have with linkedin is if for example chance changed his title or whatever he works with it would change in the software as well dex also has a mobile app that's really nice and has a lot of the similar functionality to that of what you get out of the desktop app i really have used it over the past month to check out what i need to do regarding keeping in touch with people on a daily basis i'd say for a personal crm it is pretty important to have it on a mobile app i mean who would want to walk around and not be reminded i mean let's be honest we're on our phone more than our computer it's great that they have a mobile app i hope you guys enjoyed this one dex is a software that i've very much been interested
