[Music] My name is Christian Perez Chacon. I am an international student coming from Peru. Currently, I am studying a Masters programme in operations, project and supply chain management at Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS), the postgraduate school of The University of Manchester. Before coming here, my last experience was as efficiency and continuous improvement coordinator at DP World, an international container port terminal operator. For more than three years, I led several projects in business transformation and operational performance improvement. So, at that point of my career, I decided to broaden my knowledge in project organisation and operations management. That's why I decided to apply for an international Masters programme that allows me to share my real life experiences and also learn from colleagues from all over the world. After doing deep research, I found out that AMBS was the best place to start with this new challenge and stage of my life. At the end of this course, I hope to put in practice all my all my learnings from my courses, plus my previous experience in further opportunities here in the UK. Ah first, the teaching methodology. In a Masters programme, lecturers encourage you to be critical all the time - by challenging your own biases and thinking outside the box almost every day and in every lecture. Secondly, the quality and quantity of lectures - of reading, sorry. To be honest, I have never read so many pages in less than a year, but I enjoy doing this because the quality of articles and books that I read exceeds completely my original expectations. And finally, and this is based on my own experience, the skills and willpower that one must develop and strengthen to face the challenges of studying and living outside of your home country. Ah well, obtaining a Masters degree from a renowned institution as The University of Manchester will increase my chances to - sorry, will increase my chances for professional growth through international future work experience here. In addition, thinking to the future, having a Masters degree is the door for a possible future role in teaching either here in the UK or in my country. And also, this is also the opportunity maybe if I want to pursue a future PhD.
