you may have heard the term inbound closer thrown around a lot on the internet but what does that mean what is an inbound closer stick around this video is brought to you by email 10k learn how to book meetings with billion dollar brands and take your company to the next level at email10k.com so to define an inbound closer we're going to first have to define what an inbound lead is an inbound lead is somebody that comes to your website let's say you're running a services business like an agency web design or web development or social media whatever or you're running a software as a service company an inbound lead is someone that comes to your website and is interested in buying your service maybe they fill out the contact form or they sign up for free trial whatever that's an inbound lead and an inbound closer is somebody whose job is to close is to sell to those leads that come in to the website so we have a lot of experience with generating inbound leads mostly through this youtube channel that you're watching we generate leads for x27 which is our cold email and lead gen agency we generate leads for email 10k which is our education startup where we teach people how to start a business we generate leads for bot views which is our chat bot software and all of our other companies that me and robert anders run together and we do that through guest posting on other sites like entrepreneur or podcast appearances like our you know i've been on hundreds of podcasts or these youtube channel videos where we do three videos a week on this channel and one video a week on our other channel crazy money by the way subscribe to crazy money it's super sick and while i'm telling you stuff just go ahead and like this video because youtube really loves it when you like the videos they help promote the videos out but only if you like the video so go down smash it smash that like button so let's talk about what's an inbound closing so we have some experience dealing with inbound leads and we also do outbound leads which is what we teach in email 10k which is finding leads via cold email and cold calling but today let's talk about inbound leads so an inbound closer is the person responsible for closing the inbound deals they are responsible for making money off the leads that come to your website inbound leads are better than outbound leads in a lot of ways but companies have trouble generating these inbound leads but there's a few ways that inbound leads are superior to outbound leads the first is their knowledge so if an inbound lead comes to your site and fills out your form the chances that they've done research on your business maybe looked at your blog content and maybe even know your pricing and the package they want the odds that that is happening are very high compared to an outbound lead that won't know anything about your business so they're easier to sell to they're more knowledgeable the close rates higher they're better in almost every way the only thing better than an inbound lead for close rate is a direct referral which is one of your past customers or current customers recommending another person buy from you that's one of the only leads that is going to be superior to an inbound lead in terms of speed to close and how easy they are to actually make money from and it also changes the dynamic of the encounter so if you're used to cold calling or cold emailing you might know that in the first 15-20 minutes you really have to push and sell yourself in order to get a good rapport built with the contact with the lead that you're talking to but with an inbound lead if they've watched the videos like i know when people come to x27 and they've watched these videos the team has such an easy time selling them because they don't have to explain who we are they don't have to explain the background of how we've sent millions of cold emails generated hundreds of millions of dollars in sales for our customers they don't have to explain any of that because the client already knows it so the dynamic of the conversation changes with an inbound lead they already see you as an expert so it's much easier to get through to them so that changes a lot it turns you into the qualifier instead of you trying to sell yourself to the client if they're inbound now you just have to figure out if they're a good client for you do they fit your revenue criteria are they a golden goose company with between five and 150 million in revenue or whatever your criteria is do they match that or not and if they don't then you choose not to work with them you choose not them because they're coming inbounds you're not chasing after them and that actually comes down to the main responsibility of the inbound closer the main responsibility is to check if the people that they're talking to are qualified to work with the business because like we said before if they're inbound they already at least know something about your business and want to work with you so now it comes down to that inbound closer to make sure that they're only closing clients that your team can deliver on that want to pay the right price and aren't going to be nightmare clients a good inbound closer is also good at guiding the inbound client to the right services for instance like i talked about we have a suite of companies so we have the done for you service at x27 which also includes a bunch of stuff like we do cold email but we also do seo and pay-per-click and we redesign websites like there's a ton that we can do so when an inbound client comes to us and they have an issue let's say they're having trouble generating leads or they want more sales it's up to the inbound closer to figure out how to best capitalize on that what services do we actually want to sell to them in order for them to get the most value and for us to get the most value where's the win-win here where they don't feel ripped off and we don't feel like we're wasting our time another good thing that inbound closers do is upsell so for instance an inbound client might come to x27 and just want cold email but by the time they're done with the sales call they've bought cold email but they also would get value from a new website or they also might get value from a pay-per-click campaign and it's up to the inbound closer to upsell them and get them to purchase those other services it's also up to the inbound closer to follow up with the leads once they come in so it's not just selling them on one call but the inbound closer is following the entire process you've got call one booked maybe you're doing a proposal and call two then a contract negotiation then a sale or all of the other follow-ups in between the touch points you know you're reaching out to them every week or every month until you get a yes or no that's everything that the inbound closer does everything necessary to get the money in the bank from inbound leads and by the way if there aren't enough leads coming in then you can follow some of the other strategies that we talk about on this channel to generate more leads specifically if you're selling to other businesses my favorite channel and the most effective one is cold email which is exactly what we talk about in our course email 10k and how to grow your business using the most profitable channel we found cold email this video is brought to you by email 10k so you don't have a business idea huh do you want to know what the best business to start is regardless of market conditions check out the free
