email now in email I really want to tell you how works and how you can actually apply it to your business so let's actually jump over to our whiteboard and cover everything right now so I'm going to open up my scribble pad so you guys can see it I'm going to erase what I was doing earlier all right so the process is very simple when it comes to email now I'm going to cover both e-commerce and digital publishing or as a matter of fact email marketing at the same time so let's talk about e-commerce first so we're going to talk about the e-commerce model just turn on this alright here you go this is going to be the e-comm model and it's very simple as many of you now know that one of the best strategy when it comes to e-commerce is actually giving a product away and simply charge shipping now the truth about this model is that you are trying to capture paying customers to your store and then really back end and sell them more products so that's why email is actually one of the most important thing and it's proven to increase your sales and boost your sales for your store without even spending an extra penny on acquiring them because this is how the entire process look like step number one you have a Facebook ad and because it's a Facebook ad and this place will add basically sells your product so the minute that prospect clicks on it a gift sent right to a product page right this is going to be a title this is the image of the product information and then the Add to Cart button now in this case you're really using what I call a tripwire method in another case it's called free plus shipping so obviously it's very very tough where you can actually make a profit right away out of free plus shipping because you're basically charging just shipping for the product and you have to cover the cost of goods and you have to cover at now the minute that the person actually goes on here next step is actually going straight to the credit card page right this is the page that these people have to actually put in their credit card information now at this point there are going to be a lot of people that actually drops off and exit your cart okay they exit because ultimately they thought that they're going to get a product for free then they found out that they had to pay shipping so they left but because you're using the Shopify model you are going to acquire the email address and the information before they can actually even see the shipping and the beauty of that is that whenever they exit your cart what will happen is that they will be then added into what we call an email database and this email database really consists of all the email addresses that you can actually send out to your prospects now at the same time when a person actually bought this product they are going to be sent to the Thank You page so they say thank you for your order and their email address this also at the same time add it into this database over here and when you're inside the database now what are the best autoresponder that I would have to say it's going to be send lane there's going to be other ones like Aweber that are basically costing contact etc etc I just like family myself but once you have the emails right inside this system you would either basically set up we call an autoresponder so basically emails get sent out every other day or every day in the next coming 10 days or you basically send them into what we call a broadcast list now with the broadcast list we'll give you the ability do is that you can actually fire off a mass email to your entire database and each of these emails are actually equal to money that's what it is because you can actually sell more products in your store or you can basically tie in with an affiliate offer now the reason why in any of my training I keep saying create an e-commerce store that's based on passion is really because it gives you the ability to sell other physical products it gives you the ability to actually go ahead and sell other things and that's what you get to do when it comes to running a niche store because if you run a generic store let's be honest you can only send them back to your website you can't even go after the affiliate offers but if you were going Pacific let's say that you're going after like the gym market gym goer market and guess what you can sell them help supplements you can sell them protein bars after the affiliate offer and actually make your profit from there a lot of people basically overlook in e-commerce about email marketing and it's very important that you implement this strategy to your business now we've just covered ecommerce now how the digital publishing works so I'm going to basically do a board right here to leave this in here next we're going to talk about like affiliate offers or digital publishing okay / or information marketing so I'll call it digital publishing again what you're really doing is very simple number one you can set up an ad or you can set up a solo ad and I'm just going to call it ad and now a solo ad it's basically email apps and you send them to a landing page that basically gives something away for free now in this case it may be a PDF or it may be a book and you ask for their email address in order to actually get this when they actually enter their email address in obviously from Acts you're not really making any money from there but what happens is that you go and send them to what we call a typ a Thank You page and in this place you want to actually have a button or a promotion to talk about an offer it can be an affiliate offer it can be selling your own product at the same time so you're always gonna say clicked to learn more and when this happens obviously they are directed to the sales page or the affiliate page and from here that's going to be where your money comes from but I'll be honest majority kind of money that you make from here will not be able to justify your act so what you got to do is that all the emails that you have in here are now again add it into a email database and in this email database you again same thing over here you create an autoresponder to send out an email response or not can't email response I mean a series of email based on the days and intro that you want and you can actually add them into a broadcast list to actually just send emails to these people where all these will result into profit because at the end of the date at the first step you are paying even from e-commerce or from affiliate digital publishing you're paying to get these email address right now with the e-commerce model obviously you're paying a lot less because you have a product that you give away and you actually make some profits out of it but not enough to justify the ads but you can actually basically make all your money back simply from the back end of things now if you can actually make a front end product and make profit right away which is very easy it's not like it's impossible it is possible in my stores we have a lot of things that are selling well in the front end and the more emails that we send the more profit we make now again a billion digital publishing is the same thing right you can send them straight to the affiliate offer hoping that you break even on this point or basically make a little bit of profit but your money in order for you to really boost your sales is actually all in the email sequence and for you to actually send broadcast through your database you need to know emails is the number one asset in any online business because you can create a form of communication and send them marketing messages which can actually people can click on it and translate into a sale or go through a Pacific sales funnel alright now this is strategy number one now here are some things that you need to know but our true proven email marketing techniques that you need to apply there are a lot more but I'm just going to give you two right now the first one is that you want to set a mailing schedule in place for example for digital publishing or email marketing you want to make sure that you send only on the weekdays at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time and if you are normally setting on a Monday Wednesday Friday or you've been setting Monday Tuesday Wednesday first day and not set on a Friday make sure that you stick with that calendar because your prospects and your subscribers are actually ready to get your emails if you create a schedule it you sent at the same time at the same day of the week they would expect an email from you and you're training them to actually get an email from you now when it comes to e-commerce here's one thing that you need to know the time is a little bit different and you actually don't want an email as often for e-commerce the max that you should send out per week it's actually three emails you don't want to do it every single day but when it comes to digital publishing and email marketing you can actually send it every day but when it comes to e-commerce you kind of want to send it only three times a week okay and instead of sending an 8 8 and Eastern Time you actually want to send it an hour later we're just 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time these are proven times to actually send out your emails now the three emails that you want to sit on for e-commerce again you want to make sure you have a mailing schedule in place so let's say that you mail usually on a Monday Wednesday and Friday Monday will always be a new product announcement Wednesday will always be a Pacific product that you are putting on sale or you have a Pacific offer to give out and then on a Friday you want to do like a weekend sale okay you want to make sure that you create the schedule exactly the way it is so that your customers and your subscribers can expect what they are going to get now here's a tip about mailing schedules avoid mailing during weekends weekends are proven to have the worst open rate and the worst click-through rate you want to avoid emailing on weekends entirely now if you really have to email during the weekend the only time frame that you can actually send it that is proven to get better results is Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time Saturday is a complete do not send a completely do not send all right now the second emailing techniques that I can give you is have a clear message it is very important because every email that you send out it's a form of a communication between you and your customers and you and your prospects now the first thing that a subscriber would actually see is the subject line so you want to keep the subject line very short and have a hook in there keep it really really inside and making them really want to open it we also use blind copy now what we mean by Klein copy is we'd only say exactly what it is we may say three tips - details inside or three sales techniques - details inside so you're actually getting people to actually open up that email and once you open that email or once your prospect over are your subscriber opens that email you want to show what you have to offer don't basically say like have one sentence and have a link you want to show pacifically what you have to offer and why they actually have to click on the link inside the email now when it comes to link you have to make sure that you have a clear call-to-action and you want to have at least 2/3 call to action in your email for my emails I love to use go here to watch this now or shop now to get this savings so you pacifically implied to them to tell us exactly what they have to do and again I do two to three call to actions per email last but not least if you have an e-commerce business here's what you want to do you always want to have a logo of your store at the top and then a banner to show what your product is about or what you are going to be selling it has proven to work especially when ecommerce because you are relationship building with e-commerce but you're not building into an extent where it's kind of like email marketing in a bilious space or a digital publishing space so you want to still have your brand present in place and you still want to banner to make it look like it is an e-commerce email copy alright so these are the first strategy for basically boosting yourselves email is guaranteed to boost your sale now let's look at strategy number two I love strategy number two it was just retargeting banner there's not many people that talks about this and in fact we saw a lot of people that is implementing this but if you are not you are leaving a lot of money on the table so here's an example of a case study diagram I'm actually giving away this book for free it's called bicep he used to build a 20 million dollar business so again it's a free book that I give away at the link madness or I can attract them and get their email address and sell them basically of the trainings or software's that I have through an email series now the person actually leaves this place they didn't give me their email address what will happen is that I will then serve them a banner ad wherever they go so I simply a cookie on their site and when they leave they will always see my banner until they actually sign up for my workshop now using this super simple technique here are the results I have invested two thousand six hundred and forty six dollars and eighty cents and I made forty seven thousand dollars back again using just a banner which is retargeting from the initial traffic that you are getting in your site now I can be your store it can be your it can be your opt-in page it could be whatever but the purpose of this is that you need to know you've got to get your retargeting banner in place and as a matter of fact I actually want to jump back to the white board again to share with you exactly how this worked and why I say that retargeting doesn't really require you to break your bank when you're advertising with retargeting so I'm going to go over here right now and here's how it all looks I'm going to actually erase all these and share me the entire process again on how retargeting work so first of all you have your main page it can be a product page it can be an opt-in page so this is basically your web page and I'm just going to put and this is your Latin page okay it can be a product page it could be an opt-in page etc now when a person actually goes onto this page what happens is that you will a cookie right into their computer and what happens is that this compete this cookie is then been installed right into their browser and they would not even know that you have actually installed something right into the browser but now what happens that when they leave your site okay when they actually like this when they leave your site and they actually head over to another website let's say cnn.com okay this method you could actually get on cnn.com I have done that numerous times and because we have installed the cookie on your web page and the person left what will happen is I see like these are all like articles what will happen is that when you basically go ahead and say to Google and say hey I want to go after this specific person that went to my page but did not do what I told them to do so then the cookie get installing to the browser and when Google knows this this information is also passed down into Adwords okay which is Google and when you advertise on Google then at this placement this exact user is then going to actually see your ad right on whatever pages they go and when they click on this obviously they're going to leap back into your landing page okay you're going to lead back into your landing page until they have made an X amount of commitment that you have set the goal to be so let's say maybe a Thank You page and then at this point their cookie will be deleted so this method is like you're basically following them everywhere wherever they are going now here's the important part that I want to bring up to you guys first of all you'll be wondering well Fred at the end of the day does it cost a lot of money to get my ads on like CNN and all these other stuff and being like all over the Internet well let me tell you for a fact it doesn't really require to break the bank here's why first of all you need to know let's say that you have a thousand people visitors to your site okay and let's assume that these 1,000 people all did not opt in to your webinar or opting in to your free report or they did not buy your product so these are facing a thousand visitors now what happens is that when these 1,000 visitors go to your site and they got the cookie installed in the browser and they start see these are seeing a strip on the site what happens here is that over these 1,000 people each time they actually visit whatever website that Google have ads on you can actually show them a net these 1000 people now here's the crazy part inside at words you were given the ability to run something called the frequency cap now what the frequency cap is it's basically how many times do you want your prospect to see your ads and the number the best number is three for every 24 hours so every 24 hours to only see your ads three times so that means that if okay if these 1,000 visitors all went to another site and basically the gutter cookie installed is they start seeing an ad that means that every day you're going to get three thousand impressions so your ads are going to be served three thousand times now again the reason why is that you have a thousand visitors and out of this 1,000 visitors they're going to see three times three threes here at three times over a 24-hour period that means that's 3000 impression okay so you're going to get three thousand impressions per day now here's the word of math actually comes in play and what I say you are not going to pay a lot of money first of all when it comes to banners okay banners are based on CPM banners are based on CPM and what that means is that CPM is that it is per 1000 view cost per 1000 view so that means that if you have three thousand impressions okay and you are charged X amount for every one thousand hundred ads have been showing that means that the math is simple you take three thousand impressions and then you divided by 1,000 CPM so one CPM which is one thousand which is a CPM and that means you are literally paying three times to Google and your CPM rate would usually varies from like two dollars all the way to five dollars okay so let's say that you're going to pay three dollars CPM so that means that because you have three thousand impressions what i-5 a thousand which is which you're getting fax CPM so you have like three CPM then that means that you three x let's say three dollars so you're being charged three dollars for every one thousand timer ads I've been showing you're literally paying nine dollars per day nine dollars per day to the 1000 visitors that actually showed you that they are interested in your product but they just didn't go through your sales funnel yet so at the end of it you don't have to charge a lot of money you get your aspiration showing three thousand times okay and basically each 1000 visitors will only cost is going to be nine dollars per day we're talking about a thousand visitors right now a thousand hot prospects and your own again 9 dollars to actually get them to see your ad and that's the beauty about retargeting at because you are not paying for what we call code traffic you are paying impressions you're paying at spots and to show ads and follow the people that already expressed interest in your website or in your offer or in your landing page so nine dollars to get you a thousand visitors coming back that is a pretty cheap price and we're talking about hot prospects right now too so that's why at the end of day we're targeting it's actually very very very important and using recording banners is actually very simple okay first of all you want to your Google remarketing campaign in your website and then you need to create segmentation because ultimately and we go back to this over here you obviously don't want okay do not want the people that have accomplished the goal that you have set for your campaign to keep seeing your ad because that means that you're wasting money so you got to segment out the people that have already accomplished the goal all right so that's why segmentation is very important then you want to build a 300 by 250 banner ads okay it's just 300 pixels by 250 it's a standard banner at that majority of the website actually have placements on then simply set up your at worst campaign to run indefinitely okay that's all you do as a matter of fact why don't we do a demo I'm going to show you exactly how you need to do these four steps for your website and in fact I'm going to do it for an e-commerce website right now so we're going to head over to the browser and does how an app works can account look like all you have to do is head over to shared library and I'm going to share library you will see audiences click on view and when you click on view if you are new to AdWords they'll be prompt to actually create a remarketing list I already created so I don't have to do that so you guys should go to tank details and when you go under the setup you will go under view at work spank this is the Google tag that you want to on your website okay so I want to use a sample ecommerce store that I have for training purposes and we're going to do it in here so if you're running an e-commerce business or Shopify here's what you want to do first of all you go over to the online store then click on under themes click on these three little icon over here and you want to click on edit HTML / CSS then from here what you then want to do is go in the sort of saying call I'm gonna make this bigger themes up liquid we click on the theme dot liquid all you have to do is scroll down to the very bottom of this liquid and right before the closing body okay you simply just paste the adwords tag in here and press save that's all you got to do then your Google tag is already installed on your website right now then the next thing that you got to do is obviously create the segmentation by default what's going to happen is that Google will automatically create all visitor campaign for use or anyone that visit you will have this over here all visitors but you got to create a segmentation right now and with AdWords when you then wanted to do is actually go and create website visitor and you want to make sure you if scooters thank you pages right because obviously for e-commerce you want to get a sale and you want to basically exclude the people that already buffer you from seeing your ad because you're going to be wasting money and return this membership duration 540 and we call all Shopify customers and instead of visitors of a page I would actually go ahead and enter visitors of a page with a pacific tank okay and I'm going to create a new tag and I'm going to press safe once you have done so you will have a new tag in here you want to copy these tag head over to your Shopify store and then simply go to the Preferences okay under online store preferences and also an online store purposes where is it settings that's right go over to settings and go to checkout and put this in in the additional strips okay and press save now once you have that done obviously what you want to do is to create let's say that if a person is going to be with I'm advertising the tactical flash like that's my main product you would want to create a Pacific segment and a Pacific campaign just for the LED flashlight so you want to copy the URL from your store go back into Adwords okay go back into audiences then what you want to do is click on this remark and once again and go after website visitors and you want to say all tactical LED flashlight flashlight visitors and then all you have to do is in here visitors of the page paste the URL in here that URL contains and I would keep that last 30 days if you advertise longer than 30 days and they're not going to take action they're not going to take action okay then you press save now once you have that done there's also one more step that you got to do you got to create the segmentation so simply click a remarketing list websites visitor and you're going to go after all non buyers of flashlights okay and then from who to add to the list create a custom combination and at any of these audience so you want to select back all Shopify all tactical LED flashlight visitors and then you want to add another and exclude which is using none of these audiences which is your Shopify customers press ok and press safe so now what happens is that we have created a list of all non buyers who basically visit airline engage or product page but did not buy the product from you so these are the hot prospects that are ready to be converted but they're not converted yet once you have done that head back to all campaigns and under new campaign go after Display Network only ok once you have done that all you got to do is very simple ok click on no marketing objective and go after the location that you're at and change the CPC into viewable CPM ok that's what you want to do you want to get aggressive in the option and gloves are viewable CPM and you can pay $5 for debut like ignore everything else except for this part over here where it fades at delivery you want to do a frequency cap of 3 per day per campaign so what this does is that you are restricting all the visitors only see you're at 3 times per day and that's it if they actually see you're able to 3 times they're not going to take actually do not reproduction alright and I'm going to do this red demo save and continue now in the next phase all you have to do is call this basically all non buyers put down $2 CPM in here then click on interest and remarketing and then select from your remarketing lists the all non buyer for flashlight and simply press save and continue and your last step is to create an ad so you want to just go over to the image ad and then upload a 300 by 250 AD so I already created one in a fax here's the ad right here and all I have to do at the end is to simply copy the URL at the page which is the final URL we're sliding page and you want the display URL you w got preferred years com and I'm going to put at 2:01 okay then you want to press save ads and you are done that's all you do when you're setting up a retargeting banner it's not crazy science it's not rocket science that's all you do okay so that's what you want to do so now we only cover strategy one and two I haven't even is cover strategy number three so now we're in the last strategy strategy number three is called the unblockable push notification so what this is is that when you go to a website like Facebook Shopify and Google and Gmail a lot of large web sites out there you'll be prompt and say do you want to receive notification on the left this is how it looks like okay say say 50% off instances for an e-commerce store click that step with the below to get exclusive offers when the person actually clicks on accept what's going to happen is that you will now build a list of push notification subscribers so that whenever you actually send a message through your push notification it will show up right at the corner of the browser and even on an Android phone like right here on the computer it stays flat 50 percent I'm on Barbie dolls click to buy now this exact message works exactly like emails but you're not sending an email to them you are sending them a notification through the browser and they have opted in by clicking on a set so here's how it all works I'm going to jump back to the whiteboard and share with you exactly how this all works and how powerful this strategy is so first of all I'm going to turn this into black so let's say that this is your landing page okay this is your landing page or your website and I'm going to call it ww-well site and at the top what will happen is that there's going to be an unblockable pop-up it's not going to be those annoying pop-ups that Google and Facebook hates it's just going to be those pop off the C's accept or no and it's basically receiving notification and when a person actually clicks on yes they will get it what will happen is that they are going to be directed into a little feel that save a Sept notification and when they actually set yes to accept notification what's going to happen is that they will be redirected to another landing page and from there you can actually capture the email address or fulfill the offer that you are going to be giving them and when this all happens and this is all finished and the person actually leave your website go do their own thing what will happen is that now they're added into a push notification database and you can now basically send them messages directly to the browser so let's say that imagine this is the computer and this is a computer monitor okay and this is the browser so the browser is over here and what will happen is that now you can send a message specifically to these people and have a pop up right at the corner of the screen with your logo on it with your text and you can see like 50% off or whatever and when the person actually clicks on here they will be then sent okay pretend we're still in the same monitor they'll be sent to the landing page that you want to actually send them to so this method it sound like building an email list but instead you're building a push notification list right now and again these are proven ways to actually increase your sales in fact listen like this strategies just worked phenomenally well and we got students actually applying this technology the other day and State shares an example of it I was blown away on how crazy push notification is and people are actually making profits by easing this simple strategy over here now in fact here's a couple things that you need to know right here are some case studies prove it not just by a regular Joe
