the whole experience with metis from the very beginning was very confidence building i'd say right from dealing with the sales team um from dave who was our main point of contact there you know anything we were concerned about or had questions about he was incredibly reassuring whenever you buy a house it's always a little bit nerve-wracking certainly coming to a brand new area and yeah dave just kind of made us feel at home before we'd even arrived so yeah that was a really positive first experience our story is quite a unique one because of because the fact we came from hong kong we lived in a very small apartment and so coming to this house we felt like we were coming into a mansion we had the added issue of the pandemic we're due to exchange a week before that that then got delayed by three months so there's a really uncertain period where we just didn't know what was going to happen if we could move and the communication was was yeah first class throughout the whole thing it was the video that assisted us the everything online was very clear and transparent we had all the information we needed we had floor plans we had videos we had testimonials everything was there and ready online for us what the videos allowed us to do were to really look around the house get a feel for the layouts and the understanding show the kids as well what the house looked like and really just sort of see if we could live in a property like this which you know it was we really could see that the process was actually challenging for obvious reasons in in this climate but made very uh acceptable and enjoyable by dealing with the metis personnel david oakley and allison mccleary of from the sales side representing metis were most professional and a pleasure to deal with very honest gave us a lot of information again went above and beyond in terms of providing information that might be useful to us you know the engagement has constantly been of the level you'd expect when you look at the architecture and the design of the house you know it it fits that level we felt like family we really did it was just a strong sense of community how can we help you to come over here and make this as a smooth transition as possible for us that human element and that really personal touch as part of that experience it's the small things like you know responding to an email outside of hours or taking a phone call at a weekend um you know perhaps when he's not working it was those little things that kind of all added up to say okay this is you know they do understand who we are as buyers what we want um and that that kind of gave us that assurance that this was the right thing to do metis was so considerate of us and we just really felt their um their humanness and their friendliness well you hear lots of horror stories about when things go wrong and it's always hard to find it when things are really good so we did do our research and we did look at lots of customer reviews and the videos online and for us that kind of gave us that peace of mind that actually we were in really safe hands and this move was going to be the right move for us and exactly what we were looking for they gave us the time for us to move and organize an international relocation and when we came here even there was someone on site uh to welcome us which was extraordinary because the flight in from hong kong was at four o'clock in the morning and we arrived here at six am and someone was still here to welcome us for us it was just first class experience from start to finish
