[Music] The Animal Science Management Program is a two-year associate degree program ranging from various classes that deal with nutrition reproduction facility management young stock in dry cows and everything that kind of entails we also have a class that really works with the software and the technology side of things in the industry as well the majority of our students go into what we call herd management really taking a leadership role and working with large farms in mid-sized farms to really manage their herd for help for production or overall just really profitability and making sure that the care is taken on those animals on a daily basis start at the basics we're just learning like different parts of the cows and then we start learning about the different vaccinations and how to give them and that really helped to actually do hands-on breeding where every week round a different farm breeding cows and they actually become AI certified we have a lot of opportunities to get CDL or pesticide applicator certified and practice it we also have a certificate that deals with herd health understanding how to treat an animal and make sure that animal welfare is really at the top of our list then for nutrition we're able to look at the nutritional benefits of different feeds their impacts on the cow not even just the farm opportunities we get we also have a sales class so even if we didn't want to stay with the farm we could be a Salesman - Ag seems to be really on the rise and there's a lot of jobs open up and Adam our instructor he's also really good at finding jobs for us with our internships he really helped us to find what we wanted the industry is really starting to notice the value that our Technical College students bring and are really interested in our CVTC students from that standpoint I really like the instructors and opportunities we have I get to see a wide variety things I'm learning more out on the field rather than just sitting in a classroom you learn the better that way I'd really recommend the program and now I'd you get it's not just textbook knowledge it's actual hands-on knowledge being used today [Music]
