[Music] the most important skills in being a sales representative is one the most important one I believe is listening as well as being empathetic and knowing the job that you're actually doing as well as the product that you're representing probably the most surprising thing that I found with sales being a sales representative is the time factor in that it's really not a nine-to-five job and so I was working a lot of hours outside the job but having said that you can give and take so for example if I'd be working an event that would be on the weekend or in the evening between nine to five sorry not five to nine PM I would then the next day not start till say 11 A.M one thing that they should focus on when going for an interview as a sales representative is to re really be yourself I think the company wants to see that you'll actually fit in on and possibly focus on as well being a team player and emphasis on that as well as being able to work autonomously so you really have to be flexible it's a role where flexibility is a must not in so far as your time is concerned and appointments um as well the advice I'd give someone interested in being a sales representative would be one to be yourself and also if you're an actual people person and like networking and really believe in the products that you're representing as well as if you're really goal driven if you're driven by kpis and making that sale and attaining your goals then this is a sort of job for you [Music]
