How to create outlook signature

sides right all right I gotta cut out half of what I can say now but so uh so you guys should definitely be building your own email list because there's power within that maybe you don't have a product yet maybe you do have a product you could sell but more importantly like and I've struggled with this over the years but there's the more eyeballs that we can get in on our own stuff and that we can control is the more and by just giving value the more influence we can have going forward right so if we doing that if you're going to put the energy into that stuff you know definitely have a simple squeeze page or giveaway to get that lead to get people to subscribe to you because you guys can yeah I don't care if it's maybe it's just your mom on that list that's cool too you know like just email her right keep her update but it doesn't matter because everyone's like well I only got like 10 people I don't care you know like everyone starts somewhere on that side but having your own audience that you can grow not only on obviously on the social platforms with your phone but extracting them off those social platforms for those of you that are doing that stuff into your own email database is super important because with the ERC stuff right like I was able to go out and just email my list a couple of times on signing up for ERC you know and it it produced revenue for us just by sending an email right so you build that relationship with these people uh through there and then it's with something valuable does pop up you can go ahead and send it to them now you don't want to go out and just send everything under the sun and treat them like a dollar sign which a lot of people do you know uh you know and I wouldn't do that I would definitely nurture the personal side list way more and you know because you there's massive value long those because if people are following you like I know Josh you're doing a really good job of putting the value and hitting that branding piece that you got right and so like people will follow you long term if you start hammering them every day with a sale option and in my opinion they stopped following like you'll you'll turn some people off but at the same time too you also there's kind of a fine balance because you got to be willing to ask for the money right and uh inside of there too so you can give and give and give and build that bank of Goodwill but you also got to be willing to ask as well and asking for you know an opt-in or you know hey subscribe over here and I'll shoot you this cool thing whatever that is you know it doesn't have to be complicated it could be a little hey I just put together a quick 10 minute video on uh you know three things to do when someone attacks you with a knife uh would you like a copy of it would you like me to send it to you awesome go here and subscribe you know because then you're just kind of if you're giving them value but in turn getting them to subscribe right so and just this little bit we've talked I mean y'all I um we were spending you know what I thought was a lot of money probably five six thousand dollars per month on marketing before I went to Nate's event um once I once I left Nate's thing and he showed just how powerful this female list can be I fired the company that we were using for marketing and hired a new guy and um 100 of our marketing efforts are built on trying to capture that email list and getting them to go through kind of kind of the we hadn't got into the funnel building as much as we ought to that's one of the reasons for this call but you know we 100 of everything was like you know cap for that list make sure it's good um constantly be be contacting them right so we've built out a 52-week email chain essentially highlighting the services that we do around this time of year we're commercial handyman services first and foremost so we're we're doing Christmas lights just the Christmas lights yeah between a thousand and fifteen hundred dollars per office I mean we have 120 customers um about 30 of them um signed up for a Christmas night package I mean that's thirty thousand dollars in additional Revenue that we we never would have had before I mean just by just that one thing of sending a single email to our email list I mean they captured it and jumped on um I mean it can it's kind of that one-to-many concept too right Nate but like what Mark talks about all the time uh oh yeah you've already got their attention they're opting in and signing up I mean you just got you just got to utilize and leverage it yeah I want uh two quick things on that well number one is uh Colin I appreciate the nice words but you're you're way too modest with your skills my friend so you're you're a true ninja behind the scenes too so um don't let him don't let him sit over there and let that slide by um and then the second thing like a prime example of list building so we've got this coffee company Liberty coffee we've been struggling to get traction with it and kind of went to back to some rebranding of it and then we just actually I think you know finally found some stuff that's working and we can scale up and we did a Black Friday promotion where we hadn't really built a we hadn't really had enough traffic to build lists and stuff like that and we did those Black Friday promotions we were just giving away a bag of coffee they just pay shipping right so we're losing money on that but and it's funny because I'm getting these notices like my phone just kept dinging and like throughout the the weekend and my son was like sell Morse coffee I was like yeah he goes he excited I was like yeah how much money did you make I was like I'm not I'm losing money and he goes why are you excited and I'm like because we're getting leads like we're getting this list is being built so like that promotion like you know even my partner I still got to talk he was just call me I gotta talk him through that like hey look you know it's okay that we're losing money because we're built we now have a thousand people that have subscribed wow plus 600 of them gave us their phone numbers through that process right and so now we've got people we can follow up and communicate with which will long term 30 60 90 days down the road will be super valuable for us right yeah so that's awesome um anybody got any specific questions I'm gonna try to cut us off by by 1 30 just be respectful everybody's time but um anybody got specific questions yeah Nate and you Brandon you talk about it as well how do you is there a software how do you do that poll like do you put it in Facebook or how do you do the poll uh you know to get their attention and to subscribe so the so I did two types of different polls I do my I do polls on Instagram which is yes no right just to keep engagement up there but uh I also do polls uh that I drive to a landing page and it is very it's usually a one question yes or no like give us an answer something usually they're passionate about or something they're in right um you know like for you hey would you would you bring a knife to a gunfight so but uh you know like some you know just some like along those lines uh everyone's gonna say no right but um so anyways and then what happens is they click the button they want and then they opt in you can be as sophisticated with you with it if you want or you can be super simple with it so like kind of Click funnels page you can just simply put two buttons yes for one no for the other when they click it they opt in to get results and then those results you know we don't there's tools that'll kind of tally that up real time but we don't really when we do a lot of this stuff we just give a percentage of where we know it's at once we've had enough votes and we give them an idea and just put them on a Lander and say Hey you know we've got about 65 saying yes 35 saying no and then we have some offers around that usually for us on our side but it's super simple man you put it on your website you drop them to it they opt in you follow up with an email that says you know click here to see the results driving to a page with some results on it and that's it like I wouldn't cut don't and then you can use that pull you can drive people from your stories and your Facebook and everything over there as well and then um you know or you can run Facebook ads to that piece right you could also run Google ads to it you could buy email drops to it so there's a lot of ways you can run traffic but the poll is super simple it's usually a headline of like a big question and then it's vote now and it's you know if you're doing a broader one and it's yes I agree no I don't right so uh so that's that right and then like for example what we did with with Brandon stuff when he was here is a little bit more local and Niche so it was like you know when they landed on the page it was like hey what do you want what do you what do you need help with right now kind of thing right and it was the three different segments it was really the three different avatars that they work with in their business was the one they could pick and they never drove them down a path for more information about that right so that could be a poll as well it just depends how it relates to your your business well yeah you would put them out build it on a landing page put it out on Facebook run ads to it so the goal is they have to opt in with their email to get to the option to vote is that that's the purpose they have to so we have two you'd have like if they could vote let's say it's a yes or no right or hey would you bring uh would you bring a knife to a gunfight yes I would no I wouldn't and then if they click yes an opt-in box pops up and they opt in and then they land on it on a thank you page after they subscribe to get results okay um a little same kind of thing but I've been working with go high level uh recommended through the group I'm I'm keep hearing click funnels it's more easy just drop and drag how you want to do it because I'm having a hell of a time with go high level I'm on there I'm on uh more technical calls with them about trying to get everything set up it sounds like would you guys prefer or recommend uh click funnels over go high level I mean I I'm not the right person to ask for that because I like to custom code and build things out and like that so um I I have a click funnels account I don't have go high level but I've heard great things about it um in regards to follow-up and systems that you can integrate but it you know I think it is a little bit more technical yeah I don't know I mean I think you know click funnels I assumed you could do this and go high level but I know click funnels you can just click on a simple page and have put a headline they got a lot of pre-made stuff in there that makes it easy and click funnels yeah okay you may want to reach out to Mike uh fallot I know he he's used he's the one who recommended it and he actually set up one of my funnels and then go high level when I was asking about something else went in and change that and Mike knew more than these technical guys on go high level because you can go in on a zoom call and talk to these Tech guys and I went back to my Uncle Mike dude I'm so sorry but they totally up everything you did can you go back and do it again so I I super appreciate Mike but I don't want to be on you know calling Mike every single day like Mike they him up again like so I just wondered if you know click funnels was an easier process like just to get it done I finally got it done with but uh my next question sorry to be hogging this up but one last one is when they opt in do you set up an email sequence of like maybe five like thank you for signing up here's an intro blah blah blah or do you just start like I send out an email every Monday and Thursday do you just okay now they're in and now they just get queued into the Monday and Thursday uh I do value ads and then I do a little sale you know value value at uh say on that's how I kind of do it vanilla Colin jump in I'll give a quick answer and then I'm sure Colin's got feedback on that too but I think for me it depends on the like if our newsletter stuff they come in they get two emails they try and get them to gauge really fast and then we put them in our normal General newsletter right if it's an info product that I'm selling I will usually put them through like a sequence of emails it could be three five seven emails but the goal of selling that product initially to them or that phone call whatever that is right and then I'll put them into the general so it just depends on what it is if I have my own product I'm gonna I'm gonna do a much better job of nurturing them in regards to putting content in front of them and information in front of them if it's just going on a Big Brand like American Service newsletter I'm not going to do as much of that much of that comment any any feedback on that yeah absolutely so I would say um definitely email them for sure that's that's number one and you know there's different philosophies there's guys like Frank Kern in the marketing space who he just hammers people you know out of the gates basically the first like seven days you're getting two emails a day probably in the last two days of that seven day sequence he's gonna email you like four times so he's aggressive he that's that's kind of his Vibe he doesn't really do a whole lot of value ad stuff and then there's guys like Perry Marshall I don't know if any of you all know Perry Marshall or he's sends really long uh very long emails he's he's very much into the value side and he pitches every once in a while so there's no really right or wrong way to do it I don't think obviously you have to make Revenue right but I think kind of a general framework is the minute somebody comes in that's gonna be probably when they're the warmest right so I would probably take advantage of that and have at least maybe the first couple days trying to promote what it is you're selling right obviously add value and then maybe over time kind of taper more into the value-add stuff so they remain on the list they don't unsubscribe right um but definitely I'm a fan of Auto responders um you know kind of having you know in your case maybe it's like a three to five day sequence pre-built out so the minute they come in they're getting dripped for you know a couple days and then uh sounds like you have broadcast emails like where you'll just type them up on the spot right and just send them out yeah um yeah I mean uh there's really no black and white right that's sometimes the hard the hard thing with the stuff is telling you definitively do this or don't do that there's some there's some principles but at the end of the day just email them send them stuff that's valuable you know offer them your service and um and just keep doing it you know but but but for me the first like couple days out of the gate I like to really um kind of go more aggressive and I personally I send like probably two emails a day for the first couple days no matter what I'm offering but that's just me Josh what we've been what we've done and we haven't tested much except for that that nine word email that uh that Mark talks about a lot right so if they click on our website and they're interested in a um a monthly maintenance contract but then they then they they opt into the email list we get them in that 52-week sequence but then at the end of week two if they haven't like signed up for the full monthly maintenance thing I just we'll just ping them one that says hey you know are you still interested in monthly maintenance contract um and then and that's it like just just kind of a hard stop and um we've had we've had pretty good success with it um when the what we're trying to sell there is just a meeting like a one-on-one um for my guy to go out and and uh walk him through the process and get them signed up because he's got he's got super high um um conversion rate as far when he gets one-on-one with somebody and it's just getting him in the door is really the sale that we're trying to make when you say 52-week sequence you have 52 emails ready to queued up and ready to go yeah I hired him out um but it's it's all it's all based off of like like what we do um so we we took a a poll of not a poll but we pulled all of our data from the past three years and just like the the top cost code that we've got like air filter change out right is my number one cost good as far as we sell more air filters than any other product that we sell um and so like it it hits um I think it's once a month or so on on air filters like Hey do you remember change that air filter if not give us a shout and we can take care of it for you or you know um uh uh even we've got a couple of offers like one one is um you click here for a free guide on the difference between different types of air filters right so if you've got a HEPA versus a spun fiberglass what's what's the difference how often should you be changing them and then at the end it's like you know it's really a lot of information if you just want to change it out for you give us a call and we're happy to set you up on a monthly maintenance contract kind of thing um yeah I didn't personally write them all out um we had uh another company that did it for us but um it's you know just just kind of that drip that that every week drip is is what we're going after I literally realized I didn't set up my email for last night so before I went to the gym this morning at five I was like oh yeah the 52 weeks that's that's pretty intense um so do you have it set up so week January 5th they get it kind of thing like every year no service if you sign up this week then you get email one today um okay and then and then we we ping we ping out the email list so like Christmas lights right or like Christmas Christmas breakdown and a big one here in South Carolina I mean like yesterday it was almost 80 degrees and so a lot of people are getting sick right now because you're constantly coming in and out and we're constantly switching from hot to cold and so we do a lot right now about like sanitization of uh our predominant demographic is medical so like sanitizing their waiting rooms um you know a lot of them have sick like pediatrician sick rooms sick waiting rooms and well waiting rooms so we'll go in uh once a week or so and clean like uh fog with the um the chemical that we use for kobit fog they're sick waiting rooms Forum um yeah so it's it's a if you sign up today you get week one if you sign up March 31st then you start getting that that week one email there too okay cool well guys um Nate Colin thank you all so much for your time ask a quick question oh sorry yeah um so most of you know I have a a water damage company and I have like a pretty large list we've collected over the years I've never done anything with it or nurtured it and I'm just trying to kind of figure out different ways to um I guess how they've never been contacted so I've had lost like 8 000 people so if I were to start reaching out to these people as a water damage emergency watch data damage company what are some things that I would um want to maybe approach them with or talk about or kind of put in my wheelhouse to start working on that you guys can suggest or think of that might be beneficial to because they're going to be homeowners mostly who used an emergency service company so I mean one thing right off the top of my head would be hey this time of year um there's homeowner you know there tends to be more water damage and issues happening you know whatever if it is right um it is you in Washington I'm in Washington yeah I mean there's always always Spring right there yeah yeah so we met in 2009 and I am frustrated to hear that you haven't emailed those people yet I know I know don't shoot me it's been a while so yeah I mean I think you know I would and also just some you know tips to prepare so they don't have water damage or you know how to know if you've got it I don't really know your business that well but uh there's a lot of like tips you could send out potentially or also I'm just educating them on it I think a lot of I don't know what other services you offer do they only call you an emergency or do you have additional services that you guys can offer like as a maintenance update kind of contract to these people like hey we come check or and I know like HVAC companies do these contracts right and these warranties right yeah we don't so in water damage is something yeah just the number just takes a kind of a spur of the moment they just got it and they're calling whoever they can get their hands on at the moment and you don't have a lot of secondary people that come back as much as I'm thinking about something like maybe uh like Brandon you said to change filters I don't know something that we could probably start putting into our wheelhouse that can maybe bring back more work to us and different we don't have anything right now that we really have incorporated into the company we we partner like very seriously with a disaster restoration firm here in Charleston um You probably you've probably heard of them um oh my God it's called a disaster care but um he did like the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville when um New Orleans flooded like they specifically called him because he just got so much equipment and he's really well known Al Bradham is his name um he speaks a lot of conferences stuff like that but anyway um we've got a really good relationship with him where he'll refer us work and we pay him a finder's fee um specifically in the commercial space for like air conditioning UV sanitation units so like after facts so you don't have to go in and completely clean out um everything you know um we'll also do like a ozone treatment for him um but like finding kind of Affiliates that you can work with to refer refer people to that 8 000 member list so I don't know the size of your town but it sounds like you got a pretty good size list or even you know offering like for residential um uh like um here in Charleston something that's really popular is uh crawl space encapsulation holds so much moisture under our water table so High um um but kind of any any of those kind of add-ons that you might you think that hey it kind of goes along with you know protecting somebody's assets protecting their house and that that kind of thing um we've had really good success with a relationship with a disaster company I was thinking even maybe um partnering with like or doing some sort of referral maintenance with um an HVAC company or a roofing company those type of things yeah plumbers too I mean if you can build a good solid solid thing you don't know but like you know water heater explosions and we we do water heater inspections a lot of times it's 50 bucks um my guys go in there it takes them 10 minutes they just check all the fittings check the check the water heater and what they're essentially looking for is like how old is that water heater um if it's a standard residential unit um you know typically that's above the ceiling while they're there they'll they'll give them a um a um bro where's my words today they'll give them a uh a quote to replace that water heater and take it out of the attic and put it in another space because that I mean you know like in in attic water heater is a terrible decision because then it just floods everything beneath it if it's on the first floor um you're really going to minimize that damage and so um anything along those lines like you know disaster preventative maintenance right like checking drain pans to make sure they're not overflowing checking water heaters um you know checking for um for copper uh copper lines you know pinhole copper leaks stuff like that and I don't know I mean y'all's construction may be completely different than ours and we I've never seen a basement in Charleston or been here 38 years but um you know that that kind of thing anything that y'all see on a regular basis that causes disasters washing machines any of that kind of stuff it would probably be inspection of those quarterly annually especially with your aging demographic um you know typically old people I mean you know they've got income um and they um they're a lot of times more likely to buy that type of a service than you know like somebody with kids or something like that and as I start emailing them out and start talking to them is do you how would I parley into maybe some affiliate products too that are more um affiliate related versus you know service oriented companies do you think Nate if you've got any ideas maybe take it something something I've looked into and considered was the um the alarms to be they've got it's like a little white box and they've got two metal um electrodes on them so they sense moisture then they they start blowing up almost like a smoke detector a really nice property downtown did a build out for them and that was their biggest concern was one of the reasons that they that they left their their old lease was uh the um over I think it was about this time of year over Christmas the um ice maker popped off and just sprayed water for the entire time that they were gone and so yeah where where their ice maker was and where their water filter was they wanted one of these moisture sensors so that it would blow up and send an alert to whoever the general manager was on their phone um you know that kind maybe something along those lines like you know hey your washing machine went bad and you know the hoses popped off while you're on vacation and caused a huge issue if you I think if you could develop a relationship in affiliate with with somebody like that it might it might do you well or just buy them and you know Mark them up 30 48 whatever your markup is yeah thank you anybody else awesome okay guys Nate Colin thank you again Monique Josh great questions y'all um hopefully this was helpful um if you're interested in the replay um marketing at least propertieservices.com I'll have nahie send you the uh the link to the recording um and also if you've got any specific questions or anything on those lines um you know hit me up I'm happy to facilitate any way that I can't so I appreciate it guys I'll keep you posted on what happens with my kid too um thank you so much thanks Brandon for putting this together yeah thank you thanks a lot thank you everybody thanks guys
