in this video I'm gonna show you step-by-step how you can build a sales funnel using click funnels for a restaurant now I'm sure you're thinking you're wondering why would a restaurant owner why would someone that owns a chain of restaurants need a sales funnel now let me paint a little picture for you let's say you're just moving into a city you're opening up a brand new restaurant and you don't know anybody for example let's say you're from Chicago and you moved up here to Kenosha and it's always been your dream to open up a restaurant it's going to be an Italian restaurant every other restaurant in Kenosha is an Italian restaurant and so you're gonna have some stiff entrenched competition and so basically what you need to do is you need to find a way to gain entrance into that market and a sales funnel is going to be a great opportunity so when you think of a sales funnel you think of it as a few different parts the first part is your opt-in page or your landing page and at that part you want to secure your you want to secure your potential customers email address the reason why you want that email address is so that you can follow up with them as often as you'd like with different products or promotions that you're offering so again if we go back to this restaurant example you send them to a landing page maybe you're going to use a little paid advertising possibly word-of-mouth maybe create a Facebook page that traffic source doesn't really matter in this instance what you're going to do is you're going to send them to a landing page so it'll be like my restaurant comm you are going to entice them with something and if it's a restaurant it's probably going to be a discount 10% off of your meal over 30 dollars or you know buy one entree get the second entree free whatever it is you're going to entice them you are going to exchange that free offer that discount for their email address so the way that it's set up that gets the landing page you say hey entering your email address and you'll get $20 off of your next purchase of $25 or more they enter in their email address they click submit and then they go to the next page where they can download this coupon or you send it to them via email now that's the front half that's you know that's probably the the easiest part of it the second half or the back half is actually following up with emails and then outside the scope of this video but it's a good opportunity to kind of print money on demand if you've developed a relationship you developed a rapport with your customers you can say hey come on out for we were having a you know ladies night we're having maybe a special event where you know some proceeds are going here or you know we're having donation drives whatever it's a good way to bring people out basically print money on demand if you do it correctly so in this video as I mentioned I'm actually going to build the first half of this funnel I'm going to use click funnels I'm going to use this thing called funnel scripts it's actually a separate separate piece of software that you don't have to buy but it makes my life a little bit easier when it comes to creating scripts and I'm actually gonna use a free site called unsplash to find an image to put in our and in our landing page and so basically what we're going to do is them and what I'm actually going to do for you is I'm going to make this this landing page shareable so all you need to do is click the link in the description to get access to this landing page you'll basically click it download it and you can start using it now if you don't have click funnels that it will include a two week free trial after that you have to pay for I'm not really sure what it goes to but this is a good opportunity to kind of test out landing pages and start your email marketing if you are serious about business you need email marketing I just checked my iPhone today and I got like four emails from Maggiano's with different promotions that they're running Olive Garden sends out emails any corporation any entity that is interested in making money is developing and always growing their email list so let's get started with building a landing page Here I am I am in the back office of click funnels to get where I am you basically just click click click funnels here and it'll take you to this page where you can click funnels it'll refresh the page as you can see and the first thing we're going to do is we're just going to click add new and we're going to create a classic funnel and then we're just going to collect email address and we're gonna give this funnel an 8 restaurant very creative and we're going to give it a verb tag of restaurant again very creative and we're going to build the funnel and so the cool thing with clickfunnels is it actually makes it pretty easy for you to get started it already builds out basically an opt-in and a a thank you form what we are going to do is we're just going to pick this first one and I'm going to get rid of everything the reason why I'm getting rid of everything is to show you how easy it is to get started creating these pages so I'm just going to click on edit and as that loads it's going to be very easy the cool thing with clickfunnels it really consists of a few different parts there are sections rows columns and elements the section is all of this in the green here you can only have one section at a time within sections you can have multiple rows within rows you can multiple columns and within columns you can have multiple elements and so I'll show you as as I'm going through it exactly what this means but I just want to go through and I want to quickly quickly delete all of this so that we can start from a blank slate all right so the other thing I need to do is get rid of our background here all right so we have a completely blank slate now there's what I want to do and what I thought would be pretty cool is if I started with a background and I'm actually gonna go over to I'm going to go over to unsplash it is a free a free image website a free website where you can get a ton of different images for free upset free eight times now basically you just type in whatever you want we could type in restaurant within type and waiter/waitress whatever and we're just going to download this image it's going to download to the computer I'm going to show and finder and it's going to show up on one of these screens here eventually as we do that we're gonna hop back over here we are this is our image what I want to do is I want to make that image our background so to do that I go to settings I go to background I go to image here and then I need to upload this image or I can just drag and drop it and so I'm gonna drag and drop it there that should work very fine now you can obviously replace this with your image maybe you want to take a picture of your front of your of your front of the front of your restaurant whatever that may be what about to these it doesn't matter so this is what it would look like and we can actually adjust the background a little bit so that it's not so intense so there's a number of different options here that we could take advantage of I'm just gonna pick one quickly something that I something that I like maybe yeah all right so we'll just go with it you can actually do a video as well but you know that's really probably not needed for example so we have our background here the next thing we want to do is we just want to start adding stuff for our for our landing page so what we want to do is we want to add like a call to action in order to get them to in their email address and as I mentioned I'm going to use this software called it's called funnel scripts now this can work for any business any entity there's a number of different scripts in here this is actually based off of the copy secrets book that Jim I can't remember his name but Russell Brunson and Jim Harmon whatever reason comes to mind that's probably not right but these are scripts that are built for a number of different things if you are doing advertising their scripts in there for that email scripts copywriting set sales headlines titles and all of that good stuff anyway I'm just going to use it as a template to make this go a little bit faster so the first thing that we did was we need to go in and we need to add a section a section is the large entity think of it as I guess think of it as like a your your your page like if you're doing like Microsoft Word you're typing in in Microsoft Word think of think think of a section is maybe a page I don't know if there's a good analogy for it but we are going to do wide and then within section as I mentioned we are going to add rows now the cool thing with rows is that you can add columns of different number of different columns so we're just going to do one for now and I'm going to click Add element and I'm going to add a headline now I'm just gonna copy this headline from over here maybe we'll just say something like do you to eat for free [Music] the hottest new restaurant in maybe something like that it obviously could be a little bit more creative and I'm sure you're thinking hey it's you know it's on this background we can better see it from here we actually have a few different options we can go in and we can change the background of our of our section so that it's white or we could actually change the color as well what I want to do is I want to adjust the text and as you can see it's really easy to do you don't need to have any coding skills you don't need to be a professional programmer you don't really need to do any of that you just need to know how to click drag drop and edit alright so we have we have our heading here maybe I want to add in a subheading do you want to eat for free at the hottest new restaurant in town we'll say something like critics gave it a 9 out of 10 stars and then we could say something tongue and cheek like would have been 10 out of 10 but one critic didn't show up or something like that it doesn't matter and what we could do let's say let's let's do let's change this color I want to change the background color that changes the background color to red I want it to stand out and we're gonna change the text to white this is all just so easy for you to do and I want to make the text size a little bit larger here you could do that Crick's gays gave it a 9 out of 10 stars so there's that and we're just moving along pretty easy and then we may want to what do we want to do here do we want to add we could let's do two columns here on this side we may have a plate of food we may you know have an image of the head chef of the front of the restaurant actually have images of restaurant somewhere in my hard drive we get at a video we just have a number of different options maybe we want a video that shows or or or pains across the front of our restaurant we just have a number of different options here for now let's just do an image let's go in and find an image of a waiter and this could be your waiter look maybe let's do shop is there an image of a chef okay so let's um let's do this long doesn't matter being picky alright so we've got that we're going to again show and folder showed up over there this time and I'm just going to add in an image of our head chef and as you can see it's really easy I just go in I press the plus sign it took me to the demo image not only need to go in and find the image on my hard drive so again if I drag and drop it takes a couple seconds for this to load but then once we have it you can just add image and boom there he is right on the side now if you look at this this is kind of busy but we could actually adjust the size of our head chef here or we could say you know what this is too much we could go to our background and we could just delete our background just like that maybe we want a background color of grey or whatever your restaurants colors are so from here we can go let's do a heading here and we'll say enter your name and email to get a free meal oops mail meal and then maybe we'll do like a subheading here maybe the subheading will say something like will say Dinan only will say down and only those not include drinks because that's important all right so we had that we have that the next thing we may want to do is we may want to just go ahead and add our inputs so our inputs are where people are going to enter in their name and their email address so that we can follow up with them do you want to eat for free at the hottest new restaurant in town critics gave it a 9 out of 10 stars enter your name and email to get a free meal dine and only does not include drinks so again we could let's go ahead and add in our inputs here so this first input will be we press the widget and we're going to do the first name and we're just going to change us to first name put your first name here and let's make it required because we always want to know so that when we send our emails all we can say hey Bill we've got this we've got Santa coming in next week bring your kids so we have the first name input again here we're going to do email email all right and so that looks good that looks good and then we need a button so when they click submit we need we need to collect the the button will collect to their email and so we just go down the button and we're going to click click the sign up and we're going to change this to something like I want my free meal obviously you can change it to whatever you want but this is very critical very important step right here is to set the action I have actually made them this mistake a few different times where I forgot to set the action and if you don't set the action the person can click the button and automatically get taken to the next step without having to enter in the email address so essentially they get a free coupon without actually having to do any of the work and so let's go set my action and we want to submit order and when we click and when they enter in their information and click Submit order it's going to take them to that next page that we haven't built yet but we are going to build so just a few different things here that I want to do maybe we want to change this color to red to match this red up here if we go to Advanced Options and we'll do that and so it shows up like that and so now that we have that we let's add in our contact information let's do let's do paragraph here and we'll say questions contact us to day now if you see this and this is still kind of confusing or frustrating and you're not really sure what to do let me know I'd be happy to possibly work with you to see if we kind of build something together if you need some direction or what have you so what we're going to do questions contact us today we'll say address phone email hours and maybe anything else and what we could do is we could go in and let's adjust that let's move the we can move it down a little bit owner is anything else that we would want to do I think that looks pretty decent now obviously you'd want to fill this in with your contact information once you have it what we could do is we could change the background color to kind of make it stand out again if we made the background color green I don't know why we would but then we could also change the text color from green to possibly white so that they can see it again that's not something that you have to do but to be cool little feature now if we wanted to we can actually adjust the width of our columns so to do that we just drag if we wanted to we can make our head chef huge or we can make them tiny smaller actually I think this right here doesn't look too bad and so this is a very simple page when you're creating a landing page in general you want it to be fairly simple there's there's different theories but if you're just collecting a landing page and not necessarily trying to sell them right away you want this to be pretty simple pretty basic because the more stuff that's on your page the more opportunities that your customer can click off get confuse get distracted so in my opinion and opinions of other people it's good to have kind of a basic page what we could do if we wanted to we could clean this up a little bit but I think this looks pretty good if when you're just starting out we can move this down if we wanted to that's not that's not absolutely mandatory you could add a little bit more content if you wanted to but this is a very good basic page now this is a page that you'd want to put if you are let's say you're doing a little bit of PPC pay-per-click advertising maybe a Facebook ad where you're just trying to collect email address and you're trying to create a business or you're trying to increase your your business presence then you basically want to follow up with them frequently so if we if we went here we can just click Save and it has saved if we go out of here you can see we have actually let's go back in and I just want to preview just show you what it looks like as a completed finished product so we click preview there you go obviously this green looks out of place a little bit but for the most part I think this looks pretty decent we can close that let's go out of here the next thing that we can do is we can actually add a thank-you page down the Thank You pages where they'll be able to download your free gift so what you could do is you could actually create a coupon that they print off if you wanted to or you could say hey your coupon code is going to be emailed to you and you can actually use that as an opportunity to start selling the customer on your restaurant so if we go to what I want to do is I'll actually want to clone this and the reason why I want to clone is because I want this to look exactly the same as my page it makes my life a little bit easier there's a term called congruence when it comes to marketing online marketing and you want your everything to flow so these colors that I have on here would be great if I if my restaurants colors were grey red and green but what I did is I went hat went ahead and I cloned that stuff and then I actually added this step to our restaurant checklist so what we could do actually actually I just had an idea uh so I have moved up our clone step so that it will be up here after the person to ops end so when they enter in a good email address and their name and they click Submit it'll take them to this page here now what we'll do is we'll actually edit this page and we could do a few different things here like I said we could make it so we do a little bit of introduction maybe we have an image of our entire team maybe a little bit about us as I mentioned also a coupon that they could print off let's do that lets do a coupon here we'll say thanks or signing up your coupon is below now the thing with clickfunnels is that this is an actual website that you could use for more than just a landing page if you wanted to you could put a link to your menu and that's what I said I had an idea we can actually put a link to our menu so if you want to get them excited about your meal your new offering you could link it you could say hey now featuring fried squid the only fried squid in Kenosha I don't I don't know if that's true but that's an option that you can do as well and so let's let's get rid of this will delete that that will get rid of all of let's get rid of all of those so thanks for signing up your coupon is below let us see will do one column and maybe we'll say I forgot what our offer was we'll say coupon for one free and then we can add a little bit more texture or whatever we wanted to let's see what we can do here we go to advance what do I want to do what I want to do what we could do is we can actually set this up so that it shows up as a dotted line and to do that I need to make a new you need to make a new section let's do wide and let's go settings here we go advanced order whole border dotted so here we've created we've created our coupon actually I might be able to do that here too now that I think about it let's go settings advanced so I pick the right one settings advanced order border there we go so we could actually create a coupon type of feel here so that they feel like they're getting they're getting something coupon for one free meal we could say print and bring in with you or something more creative but again this is pretty cool because we were doing this all kind of on the fly so let's get rid of this one we'll say bring it with you return it with you so we're gonna add new element we'll say so bring-bring coupon with you and then all those coupons usually have those weird numbers we'll say so that we know that it's valid [Music] there we go obviously you could add a little bit more text if you wanted to you could put another image here but this is actually pretty cool what I would do next what I would do next is maybe add like an about us a little bit about our story if we wanted to and I want to do this I'm gonna add I'm gonna add a link to our menu will say menu and because I had this grand planned a little bit later we just need to move it up so this could this could emulate our menu if we if we wanted to make this a like a more complete website we could turn this into our menu so we'll just give this a top margin here let's say we had a PDF menu somewhere like it may be like AWS or Google Google Docs what we could do here is we could we'll just link this here press the link button and because I don't have a menu already set up I'll say HTTP colon that bat will say espn.com I think I did all of that right and I want to change this to blue all right so there's some one word - once like once they got to our site they would have a menu we could also do let's do let's fill this out a little bit one will say menu about us contact us [Music] reservations will say employment to and then what we could do is we could just link out to all of these different things because like I said because clickfunnels is an actual website you could have a bunch of different websites or excuse me a bunch of different web pages in this funnel here so this this is gonna sound a little bit confusing I just want to save this to kind of show you exactly what I'm talking about so if I go back what we could do is I'm going to grab this Thank You page and I'm just going to use this as a template and what I'm actually going to do is I'm going to take this link copy it and I'm going to move this over to our opt-in page and so as I mentioned you can actually create an entire website just from here if you didn't want to go through the process of hiring a software developer or you know you don't want to deal with a full-out website you could actually do all of this right through click funnels and so basically what we did is I copied the URL for that other page I'm just going to click link and then I would go in here and paste that link in and so the next step is change that to blue also alright and so if I save this and this may work this may not work if it doesn't work it's because I didn't connect my domain name so I'm just going to click preview and as you can see we have menu here and it links out to ESPM this would be our menu if we had let's say if we if we had let's say if we had an actual menu somewhere like Amazon or if we had it on a PDF virtually somewhere we could do that if we had an about Us page that was within clickfunnels as you can see it takes us right to that about Us page you don't really with clickfunnels even though we talked about creating a landing page you could make this a full site right in right and click funnels here again as I mentioned if you need further assistance if you're looking to partner with someone
