hi my name is lauren and i'm a consultant here at rotiv we're an official salesforce partner that helps small businesses automate their processes so today i'm going to show you how to create an opportunity by stage report in salesforce otherwise known as a sales funnel report so first we're going to log in and go to reports and click new report the report type is going to be opportunities so here we're going to go to our filters and just check to make sure everything is fine all opportunities is great i'm going to change this to current fiscal year we want the opportunity status to be any so we can see every opportunity stage and then we are going to group the rows by stage you can hide the detail rows and here you can see each stage next we just add a chart click on the gear icon for the chart properties and change it to a funnel and then i would uncheck combine small groups into others because this could have the funnel stages be out of order if you want you can show values or percentages then we'll hit run and there's your sales funnel report you can see the percentages the record number you can see each stage as you hover over it or you can just check on the left over here and that's it hope you found that helpful if you did please click like if you would like more salesforce reporting how to's please subscribe and if you want help automating your processes within your own business feel free to email us at hey rotive.io have a great day
