[Applause] well sales funnels kind of work like that only with a hell of a lot more than just quarters being sucked in in the process if you do it right here's my super simple funnel formula that can help you possibly make millions i'm john benson and this is sales copy secrets [Music] welcome back and this is how to create a super simple sales funnel part one i'm gonna have to break this up into parts because if i don't it'll be a super long video and you'll get bored and click over and start netflix binging or watching whatever your kids watch nowadays don't want you to do that once you pay attention and learn so if you are here looking for copywriting tips if you are a professional copywriter looking for copywriting techniques or if you just sell anything online as an online marketer this is for you let's get into the training so first of all what is a sales funnel a sales funnel is a series of steps designed to take someone from a cold or warm prospect all the way to a paid customer and do it in the fastest way possible complex sales funnels include multiple products called upsells or tripwires that can help liquidate traffic costs while simple sales funnels rely primarily on selling only one product or service today we're going to focus on the simple and the reason why is really simple honestly it's because the complex can be a really daunting task it can be really difficult to set up an entire sales funnel and beginners especially can get bogged down in the details you think that you need to be perfect you need to really nail everything down you don't you just need to be good okay the great is the enemy of the good and perfection is the enemy of the great that's the way i like to look at it and i just need you to be good enough for now get a funnel out there then tweak it as you go along let me tell you one of the key indicators to success in anything in life but especially online marketing is speed of implementation if you get speed of implementation down you are much closer to success so let's get the thing up fast let's testless fail fast okay then let's adapt fast you're gonna be much better off for it cool and by the way the goal of a simple sales funnel is often merely to break even i know marketers that know they're going to lose a little bit of money on the initial sale of the funnel and that doesn't seem to make a lot of sense especially to a newbie but it does and here's why your buyers in other words they're buying something even though you're not quite breaking even or maybe you are just barely breaking even those are buyers that will buy from you five to seven times more i'm good with my fingers seven times more than the average cold prospect so you are building the gold man the buyers list and that's what you want you want a buyer's list so this is an awesome way for you to get a list that you can sell stuff to people for four years listen that is an awesome deal this is what you want to do and by the way a lot of people do make money from a simple sales funnel it's not like it's unheard of it's quite common once you get pretty good at this so let's look at the five components of a simple funnel right now now this is my super simple sales funnel and it starts with an ad like on facebook for example with a lead magnet something that you give away for free number two is the opt-in page that's where the ad goes to where you collect the email and hopefully the first name i think it's a big thing to collect the first name and of course that will go to a thank you page but i count that as one component then three is a series of at least five emails you want your first three emails to be nurturing meaning that you send out content emails that are very helpful they don't try to promote or sell anything and then on the fourth or fifth email you can start promoting now this is not a rule that's carved in stone you can start promoting right off the bat and some people do find success with that but i recommend doing a few nurture emails if you want to split the difference use my ps trick and put a ps in the first few emails and say if you want more information i've got a great free video you can watch and that video is the workshop or a webinar or a video sales letter then step number four is the sales page that's component number four rather and that's gonna either be for your own product or if you don't have one yet use an affiliate product send them to an affiliate page granted you make probably 75 but that 75 is much better than zero right and then finally number five is your checkout page and that includes a thank you page for delivery like the page that people will download whatever that you're selling now that is my super simple funnel and every single one of those steps have a magnification factor to them meaning you can blow up any of them you can add stuff to that right for example there you can add upsells multiple upsells you can add post sales you can get crazy with funnels there are funnels at like 20 components to them but we're not gonna do that we're gonna start simple okay just five and by the way when i say simple it's not simple to do any funnel i'm just giving you the easiest funnel that i know of that you can do that is taking cold traffic and turning them into buyers cool now i'm going to give you a couple of examples of how you can take even a simple funnel like this and really make it more complex if you want to for example you can rotate those ads you can develop more than one ad and rotate them and you should probably do that anyway but there i know people rotating 30 ads at once it's just crazy right you can rotate the the headlines on your opt-in page you can rotate the colors of your opt-in page so you can split test all that stuff you can go to of course different sales letters with different headlines you can just get crazy with this stuff and that is what box beginners down it bogs intermediate and even some pros down they don't want to mess with all that stuff i'm asking you not to mess with that stuff right now just get something up there test it later let's just get it live cool now when you start putting all these components on top of a super sales funnel you end up with what i call a hyper funnel and what copy pro calls a hyper funnel in fact i'm gonna use copy pro to generate a hyper funnel right in front of your eyes that's got like uh 25 different things all crammed inside of it and it's a super funnel but you don't need all those components you can actually get copy pro down below and you can also generate the hyper funnel and just pick these five out that's what i'm going to do for this tutorial so you don't need to use all of them cool and before you ask john it's going to take me 10 years to set that up no and actually start to finish meaning you start from total scratch to finish about an hour okay in fact when you have all of your data filled in with copy pro which you only do once it takes you about five minutes crazy fast okay so this can be pretty fun i think you'll enjoy it now today we're not going to cover the all five of those funnel components we're going to cover the first two which is going to be a social media ad let's say facebook for example or youtube now this is going to be a print ad so we won't go with youtube necessarily but you could but we're going to go with a print ad in facebook pretty simple and that's going to go to an opt-in page now there's multiple versions in the hyper funnel i'm going to opt for what i call the two column opt-in page in other words you get a column here column there but the copy is the most important thing and let me say this right now even if you have a tool like groov funnels which is awesome or a tool like uh click funnels okay a funnel building tool that's great but the copy needs to be there and so this is where copy pro comes in really handy you can just take the copy and pop it right in there so don't get confused with the funnel being pages that's not that's that's the mechanism behind the funnel that's the thing that people go to that is not what makes it work what makes it work is the copy but before i break all those two things down for you i've got to ask you something have i earned your like have i earned your respect your endless admiration if start with the social media ad in this case we're going to use facebook as an example now i've generated this hyperfunnel again it just took me a couple of minutes to do and now i've got all the copy and what do you know i'm actually going to use weight loss yet again as my teaching tutorial oh please brian if i was fat could i do this with a hula hoop now this may look a little weird when you see this if you're not familiar with the way facebook ads look in the back end of an ad in other words where you would literally go to put this in you might be kind of freaked out by this the body copy is first the headline is second the description is third what is this well anyone that knows facebook is going to know what those three areas are so these are the three areas the only thing that we don't have obviously is images and let me talk to you a little bit about images you want to rotate and test images if you test anything images are by far the most important thing in an ad that can improve it quickly once it is working if it's not working then it's the headline usually it's the headline but we're going to keep it so baby simple here that it's going to be next to impossible to screw this up look at this headline get the four day diet thyroid cleanse now that's pretty damn simple what i would add to this is this the word free okay i'm going to save this so there you go now sometimes sometimes facebook can be ah free stuff we don't like it so you might want to test that but i kind of like it and usually we can combine with it now the body copy look how simple this is we go free and free why redundancy we want to be redundant free quick start guide how to and then you put your primary goal here what is the primary goal of your prospect i have mine is incinerate you know how i love the juicy verbs right incinerate excess body fat without exercise or counting calories what is this that is just right out of the john benson textbook okay i want to get pleasure and pleasure without pain or pain in this case incinerate excess body fat pleasure without pain or pain very simple pleasure without pain pain in this case pretty simple you can do the same thing just use a nice juicy verb and that put how to okay pretty simple so that i keep the headlines by the way to about 40 characters or 10 words that's what we try to do obviously here that's very much within that it's easy and then there's a simple description want to lose excess body fat download four day diet thyroid cleanse and by the way that's supposed to be the so i click it and change it like if i catch a typo like i just did i did this on purpose so i could show this to you click it boom it goes in there forever quick start guide now we found this to be very weird and very helpful a little tip this is what we put in the description i put the title of the the freebie then a dash and then what it is with a colon i don't know why that works the colon you can figure that out if you can let me know but that's as simple as it gets now obviously you would use your copy into this of course but that's what we can use as a starter ad on facebook is this going to be the add in all ads probably not but it's going to get you started and you'll be able to test from there okay now let's go to the second component of our lesson today and that is the opt-in page now there's two opt-in pages as you can see inside copy pro i'm going to go for this particular one i like the two-column opt-in page two-column opt-in page is very simple you have a column on the left and a column on the right pretty simple the top bar text says get grab your free fat burning quick start today okay and guess what you can do this and it's okay i'm gonna put an explanation part there the left side explanation part is that a thing i don't know a part of an explanation an explanation listen me i can't talk today exclamation point yes i am literate okay left side copy you do use a product the graphic you know the 3d graphic of the product and then very simple copy get started with this quick start this quick thyroid cleanse designed to help reboot a lagging thyroid gland etc so you would just put your copy here and all that is going to be is get started today or get started with this i like the word quick and then whatever it is now i've got a thyroid cleanse here which is something that is a little bit of a hook and so you want to create a little bit of a hook yourself on your opt-in page but notice how this is really congruent with the page that the ad they just clicked from very important helps reboot a lagging thyroid gland and kickstart weight loss now one other thing i want you to notice before i go any further between this and the ad that i used up here notice the absence of personal pronouns now copy pro will often generate personal pronouns assuming that you want to use them but for facebook we want to not use personal pronouns like your okay and that will help you become more comple easily compliant so these are compliant ads this way so if you notice it carefully here okay notice that we're not doing anything grab except for your we got it right there grab your or if you get really particular you can say this grab this okay get started with this quick start thyroid to help reboot not your lagging thyroid gland but a lagging thyroid gland and kickstart not your weight those is slightly more serious and they'll end up usually being a better faster paying client so i like to get a little more information not much more than that but that is important all right that
