[Music] foreign hello doers and welcome back my name is Jose Ignacio now together we've been focusing on building products but today we're gonna do some planning and we're also going to briefly touch on some big business bro words like procurement and Supply Chain management now sometimes companies want to keep stock of their own raw materials like we will see in one of our videos we've had to order wood panels before manufacturing a bookshelf now what if instead of a good supplier we had suppliers that leave us on red that famous type of text message or we have unpredictable shipping carriers that kick our boxes let's avoid The Angst of waiting for packages to arrive to the inventory team and let's store high quality raw materials right in our warehouse now with two or three step manufacturing you can coordinate with the inventory team to pick the components build the product and transfer the finished product to the final storage location so so that once the customer orders we can immediately ship yes we can be as fast as Bezos Amazon and whatever is blue spaceship company is now this is especially cool for companies that need to coordinate manufacturing across different storage locations or these raw materials and their work centers and warehouses ODU shines everywhere that we see here now we can take advantage of the integration between the inventory and Manufacturing apps to effortlessly manage these kinds of transfers now in this video I'm going to demonstrate how to complete a manufacturing flow that involves transferring picked components to the work center and then transferring the finished product to the final storage location I'm really pumped and hyped so enough Chit Chat let's dive into our odoo database and see how we can manufacture a product in two or three steps now that we're inside of our database let's first head to the inventory app just so that we can choose our manufacturing method now the very first thing I need you to do is I need to make sure that the multi-step routes feature is activated now you'll find that under configuration settings and you're going to scroll down over here make sure that box is checked all right perfect all right then to view our routes we'll actually click on set Warehouse routes over here and you want to select your Warehouse in our case SF which is a very beautiful city now two-step manufacturing requires you to actually pick the components before manufacturing can begin so that is something to keep in mind now for three-step manufacturing that involves the same picking of components but something changes with that one now in this case I'd like to make a quick note that it also requires you to transfer the manufactured product back to stock after it's built so essentially you build it bring it back and then you send it back out just remember that now today I'm going to demonstrate how to manufacture in three steps which will cover the two-step as well so you don't have to worry about that oh doers so with our settings all looking good let's check our inventory overview now we now see the operations pick components and store finished products now these are appear because of the three-step manufacturing setting now if we'd selected two-step manufacturing store finished product right here would not appear so if you don't see that you have not selected it all right since manufacturing and inventory are integrated any transfers that arise from our manufacturing orders can be directly handled here by obviously your inventory team which is hyper convenient though doers so remember that now let's quickly review the product we'll be manufacturing today and that is our coat rack so let's head into products products again in coat rack now if we look at the bill of materials over here we can see that it's made up of a wood base a post and four wood dowels because with three it would fall over now if we look at the operations tab there's just one assembly to perform to manufacture this coat rack and it's just a 60 Minute assembly operation at our famous assembly line one now awesome I think it's time for us to create a manufacturing order for that coat rack so let's go to our manufacturing app operations manufacturing orders and select new all right we'll select our coat rack as our product and everything else looks pretty good as is so just go ahead and confirm it oh doers all right after we confirm this Mo we'll see a new smart button appear with two transfers and if you look over there it's perfect now the first transfer for our picking is ready since we'll be taking the components from our stock and moving them to pre-production before we can build our code rack now the second transfer which is waiting another operation will take place after we manufacture the product and it's just to move it from the post-production back over to our stock now our picking transfer is ready so let's click on it now I want to make a note that basically if we want we can print the picking operation slip either by clicking on print over here in the buttons menu or by clicking print picking operations now this gives us the list of raw materials that need to be picked as well as a barcode that links directly to the transfer page inside of odoo now let's go ahead and we gotta validate this outdoers so we're gonna do that and apply okay we have our components and it's time to build our code rack let's go back to our manufacturing order using our breadcrumbs which today is actually a nice sourdough as well because that was in our breakfast now first as always we need to plan this order so please select plan odoo takes into account any other Mo's employee schedules lead times when planning manufacturing at any of these work centers and in this case since we have no other MOS to do our work center is available right now so now we can make our coat rack in our work center and let's click over here into our work orders Tab and let's see what this would look like to our operator using their nice tablet View okay now notice that as soon as we click on the tablet view our timer starts for this work order let's say an hour has gone by and we've just finished assembling this the finish up here we'll click on the mark As done and close mo button now we're gonna close out of this and we're gonna go back over here all right outdoers welcome back thanks to Magic now that our product is manufactured let's check our transfers again over in the inventory app so we're actually just going to select back over here and we're in the inventory app now we should see our coat rack over here ready to be transferred into stock in the store finished products kanban card all right now here we can see that the transfer from post production to our stock is ready well why is that well since we made our coat rack it's now ready to transfer to the finished product over to the final storage so in our case we're going to select that transfer line then per usual you validate and then you apply and once that you do that to this transfer the status changes to done and our finished manufactured item is now sorted in our stock and tell me how easy was that now when we look at the coat rack by clicking back over into it we'll see that we have one unit one unit on hand in our stock location uh I love seeing when stuff works perfectly now that's it for this video we learned how to manufacture in three steps including picking our components manufacturing our product and transferring the printish product over to stock now thanks for watching Bro Doers I'll see you in the next video go grab a snack
