the most common question we get asked how long does it take to get started well if you're licensed you're able to get started a lot sooner but let's say you're unlicensed so number one is you get with our agent success coach and they help you from A to Z in terms of getting logged in the study guide licensing Contracting going through the agent boot camp so on and so forth so number one you've got to have your insurance license to sell life insurance typically it takes guys anywhere from a few days to a week to study going and pass their test once they pass their test then they're going to need to wait about four to five business days to be registered with the state and officially receive their state license after they receive their state license then they're good to start the Contracting process so here you get paid directly from the different insurance companies we work with we work with the top 25 a-rated life insurance companies and they pay you directly and your contracts are directly to them so for example you sell an Americo product boom you get paid two days later directly from America or whatever company you sell that product with so you have to wait for the company to approve your contracts and the approval process usually takes about a week couple weeks takes a few days to go through the agent boot camp training as well once you have your license the training process Contracting so on and so forth typically takes about a month second question we get asked a lot and you sell 100 remote absolutely you can so now our agency is primarily 90 virtual we still have some people that run in person appointments most of it is over the phone either over the phone FaceTime or Zoom so we have guys that you know live anywhere in the United States you can call anywhere in the United States as long as you're licensed in that state we also have guys that you know travel and go to other countries and do that as well so yes this is 100 remote another question we get asked will I get trained before I hit the field absolutely yes luckily we're able to be at the highest Commission in the insurance industry and we have access to a ton of great leads but obviously if you've been in the industry you know what you're doing and this does not apply to you but for the average person coming in where they don't have that prior sales experience and they haven't been selling Insurance the training and support is one of the things we take the most seriously because without that the high commission and the great leads don't necessarily matter so when an agent comes on board they go through a thorough boot camp training from A to Z everything you need to know in order to properly help and serve a client after that you hop on a few live agent orientation Zoom calls just more training you can do a couple of those after you do that then you get with a manager you'll get your script we use some one-on-one role play make sure your script is dialed make sure your tonality is dialed and then once you check all the boxes that's when we help you get leads get you on the phone and when you get started you're either on Zoom plugged in with all of us or you're in the office guys at a remote on Zoom you know typically when they're new they're going to need help closing a deal so myself or another manager will hop into a brick arm with you hey mute the phone say this tell the client this you know simple sales techniques to allow you to get your first sale and our goal with everyone we bring on board is to get them their first sale within the first 48 Hours of them getting started how much can I expect to make my first year here that's entirely up to you we have people that make six figures and deep six figures their first year my myself included we also have people that make zero dollars granted this business takes no one eight special skill set to be successful at but it does take hard work and accountability to not blame others not blame the leads but instead look inward look at the people that are successful in the business take that coaching you know take those sales tips the trainings so on and so forth and how can I apply that to myself to be better at this and I work nights and weekends absolutely you set your schedule so whatever works best for you and your family those are the hours you work we have guys that like to start early and end early so they typically call East Coast leads and we also have agents that are night owls that call the west coast and call Alaska leads that work into the night that's entirely up to you how do I get paid let's say for easy math that you're at a 100 commission you get paid on the annual premium so easy math let me help a client with the policy that's 100 bucks a month 100 times 12 is 1200 in commission you get Advanced 75 percent of that up front a couple days to a week later in your bank account and the additional 25 percent gets paid to you on the back end in months 10 11 12. just to give you guys an example first year in the business I didn't have the highest closing percentage but I ran a lot of appointments and I was able to help on average
