welcome to an introduction to accounting and to Sage line 50 in this podcast we are going to show you the first steps for sales order processing and what we're going to look at if we look at the system that means close that down here is our sales order process we might start with a quotation we might start with sales order then we allocate stock dispatch the orders and post the invoices and then hopefully receive the payment without having to chase the debt so we've assumed that we haven't got a quotation to deal with here we're going to start by producing the new sales order so I'm going to click on sales order and it comes up with a blank sales order we're asking you to port number the borders there so the next thing I want to do is select an account and the customer I'm going to select middle flight Council let's click on that and say ok and it fills in our address for us now I look at the products that I've got for sale like this we'll try again thank you we look at the products that we've got for sale including hedge trimmers electric saws and strimmers let's start with strimmer and we're going to put two strimmers in the sales order tab across it fills in our sales price and it fills in the DAT so with order something else as well we'll take electric saw okay I will say we only want one electric saw and we will finally take what else we've got here from a Tavish new model from there we have a strimmer we have a hedge trimmer okay and we will say that we're going to have three of those so full value of our order is around about 650 pounds 648 and now I had to save my order close it and if I now look at my sales order list I will say that I've generated and ordered two for middle grade councils Department for 648 pounds if I close that off and take a different view a customer view I will see that Nick afraid Council now have seven hundred and twenty pounds to the balance including the order that I'm just placed with them so what I've done then is placed and started my first step on sales order processing with Mikkel Great Council thank you
