right on in it's a little bit overcast me today and so I've got the screen wide open it's not that hot which is good it's just sweating a little bit without the fan on so I'm okay today you can hear working okay I've got my notes hopefully in the right place today so that I don't be mucking around or looking down I'm getting better at this every day we get better at everything every day we practice from the moon so today we go through encouraging people into your space how do you encourage your ideal clients into your space what I'd love to do first because we are right on ten o'clock so we will get started is to check in and see how they work with yesterday's homework so yesterday we talked about how to find your ideal client and the homework was to do a bit of Facebook stalking now I haven't got a message offline from a lady who was saying that her clients are on Facebook which is cool so so many of you know ninety percent of Australia basically is on Facebook sue for the majority of us how I do plant is on Facebook but if they're not what I'd love to do is feed or let me know a little bit more about your client so if you can work out from your ideal client that you already have as much of the same information that you can't drive anything out the same groups are they going to the same restaurants those sorts of things so we can try and find out those similarities and work out where they're ending up so you can find out more information off Facebook so you're checking in to go with yesterday's homework do you have any questions from it if you do tuck them away while I keep going through or if followed what we did we the homework was to look at two of your ideal clients two or three find them on Facebook and do a bit of stalking so find the groups that they're in and to jump in line and start listening and scroll back through the posts and see what all those people had to say so give me a thumbs up if you did that and it was all good if you have any questions take away today we'll be going through learning the mechanics of lead generation and we're going to do it in the most simple format ever so that the Brazilian ways that you could do this let's not make hard let's talk really easy because I don't want you to get overwhelmed cause we've talked about it later overlong equals in action so look at learning the mechanics of lead generation as simply as possible we'll also look at how to understand how to encourage your perfect client to engage with you and to come over into your spaces so what's the one thing that you can teach them and help them with so that is what will be going through today it looks like there's no questions from yesterday so we will jump straight in the mechanics of lead generation in the easiest way possible so the first thing you need to do is find somewhere that you want to have your leads now that's usually an email platform why do we want emails they are still the number one way to convert sales you own them which sounds terrible but it's true the guy James Franco at years ago started this thing called own the racecourse and basically you're saying that when you have an email list when you have someone's email you own that lead you own the racecourse a playing field that you're on on Facebook in groups on Twitter on Instagram and all those other platforms you don't own them and they can be changed in a happy and as you know they are so that's why even though having these things like Facebook groups and huge Instagram followings our LinkedIn and everything is great what you do want to do is get their email so that nothing could happen to those you can't lose those email addresses unless your data go so it always come back up whereas with Facebook and those sorts of things they can shut you down in a minute so that's why we say that what you really want to do with your leads is to have them on an email platform so what type of platforms are there there's about a million that might be exaggerating a little bit so there's now Jim convertkit there's action annex which it's inside funnels that said all this so many that you can choose from if you have got one already pop it in the comments I know what we're dealing with what I would recommend to start with is magic and the reason I recommend that is that it's quite easy to follow the system that they've created they've created a really nice interface that you can generally work out yourself or they've got an awesome help desk they come back to you really quickly I've only think I've only had a problem once and I was amazed at how well they dealt with it and they sent me a free t-shirt I've never worn it but I got a vintage of it so I would recommend MailChimp and the other reason I'd recommend Matthew is that it's free and in the free sector that they've got Caroline's our matching awesome they they do pretty much everything you want within that free section up to a certain amount of people on your list so that's why I would recommend it you can do the sign ups you can do campaigns and most importantly you can do automation campaigns we might go through automation in this training but it's something for down the track that is that the best thing the easiest thing to for warming leads up down the track so I would recommend marching for that reason if you are using another one let me know so I can make sure that we touch on that so you need your email platform and that's it you need a wife at home and I recommend melt it so that's step one step two you need a way to get them automatically onto that list and the reason I say automatically is you don't want to be talking in data I do know a lot of people who are still on Excel spreadsheets and that's awesome however I would recommend grabbing that Excel spreadsheet and uploading it to Mattoon it will take two minutes and starting out on Maui because it this for this reason 100% that you want people to go automatically onto that list so that you don't have to be talking in data so the types of way I actually write no manual this definitely would so nobody lives in this system whatsoever the types of mechanisms you can use to get people to sign up into your list sign up for so mal'chik has its own signup form that's under your list there's a whole section called signup forms there's sales pages and linked pages and there's Facebook ugly forms so sort of the three main ones now sales pages and leadpages are best practice they're down the track so we're not going to deal with them today because I want to make it as simple as possible however I want you to put a pin in it for later and say yes that's something that I'm aiming for I want to have you know leadpages or opt-in pages for different types of sales pages and opt-in pages are again like him out platforms are numerous I have used most of them go to the time I've used leadpages I've used Unbounce and I've used click funnels and I have settled on click funnels it can be a cold as some people have said in the last few weeks but for me I find it to be the most robust in the things that I want to do and mainly that's because I also want it to be a sales platform for me but you know if you're using Unbounce or you're using leadpages then stick with it they all have their pros and they all have their cons and it's just that I've learned it on click funnels after trying those other ones so if you are on them don't feel like you have to throw them out if they're perfect they do exactly what we want them to do in that they take the lead for me and they automatically put you into your list that's what you want however because we are doing this in the simplest way possible we're going to use signup forms the other one that I was going to mention was the Facebook ad lead forms if you've never seen these before or you never come across them they're a little bit nifty it's a Facebook app specific ad that's all about collecting lead forms it finally into we've now chew it used to not so that when someone goes to sign up it automatically populates their information from their Facebook and then sends it through it's about I'm 50/50 on how useful they are I've used them for one client and they were terrible they ended up being more expensive than doing an opt-in page and then collecting the lead but I'm using for another client and the leads were cheap-ass so I'm still I'm still sort of up in the air about if there was it or not signup forms though are the way that we're going to go at the moment so imagine under your list there is when you own till this there's a bunch of headings and they're signup forms I think that's what's called and under there you'll see there's a lot of different options for you signup forms the drawback in using the signup forms for this specific purpose is that you can only have one opt-in which is fine for now so that's why I say that for now this is exactly what we want to be using down the track when you've got something like a an opt-in page software you can look at having several different opt-ins and you can create different pages and they're going to use this and they're in different routes that's way technical and we don't need to deal with that right now so what we're looking at today is having just your simple matching signup form so that when people sign up it goes directly into your magic form and it sends them the thing that we're about to talk about does that make sense give me a thumbs up or talk away if they don't make sense to you while I haven't been okay no questions as yet so I'm hoping that that makes sense yes fabulous hey Mariela great to have you here okay so that make sense the last thing that you need in your lead-gen system so you've got somewhere to have your leads and you've got something to make it not manual okay a automatic the last thing you need is a reason for them to be on that list and this club is kind of the most important one and what was been most of that time on today so the moves us into the next part how do we encourage people your ideal client to be on that list to engage with you so what you've been doing all that listening that that making going to groups I was doing that for two purposes and I'll just change my notes of it cuz I'm ready to roll and the reason I also put you into those groups to listen is to find out the problems so we talked yesterday about looking at what was the same and what was what words kept coming up what problems keep coming up now given that it's only been 24 hours since we've talked about this you might not have this list already and that's okay I make every day and I'm not about is making you do things a hundred times lightning Bob speed like I like gee that's that's how I'm denied and you might not be designed that way so even those groups when you're listening I want you to be looking at all those things that keep popping up as problems and it might sound like it what I'm trying to say so it's not always gonna be someone saying hey I've got this problem it will take a little bit of thinking on your behalf to see what keeps popping up but they will all the there will be a thing and everything that's coming for example this lead generation training I put together because the theme kept coming up that people were not sure of how to get their leads in that makes sense and it's a it's a it's a topic that I could go into massive level of detail or I could do this and say look we're going to make it simple because I want you to go ahead and I want you to do it and actually make this happen so when you look at the problems that are coming up I said it last week in the target market training solving problems equals making money in this instance we're gonna start small all on the problem a guy to solve and then we're going to grow and the more and more problems that you solve the more exchange that's going to happen so yesterday when we talked about that the spiritual law of success in the law of giving and receiving and how all has to be in balance money is energy is getting information that's the information that you're giving is energy and also some of the email addresses energy so all those things are going to continue to move around in giving and receiving and balance out so we need to make sure that whatever it is that we're giving in this value is enough it's balanced with an email address funnily enough these days an email address can be worth more sometimes than one or two dollars so if you look at a product that you might be selling at two dollars you might sell more of them than giving something away for free people can be really protective of their email address because they have had so many people abuse the power abuse the energy that's been given to them with in an email address so they get a bit sort of up in arms about giving it over willy-nilly so we need to keep that in mind we need to make sure that whatever it is that we're giving whatever problem that we're solving in this instance is enough it's a balance with receiving an email address and of course being and loving with that email address they've given you an email address to to hear from you to get value from you and vice versa so keep that in mind even after the first you know five minutes that you've sent them this first thing hello I'm guessing if you're here with me I probably don't need to tell you that so if we look at the notes that you got of the things that keep coming up and I want to ask this question I'll give you time to type as I say this have you really got an idea of what problems you can solve and how to solve it I'd love for you to type in and let me know or if you've got no idea I don't need to tuck in and let me know so I know where we're at so if you look at the notes that you made or have made or are making what problem is that keep coming up so what problem can you solve when you look at problem are there several steps to solving that problem so there might be a really easy fix so for example again with this lead generation one I can give you this this information that I'm giving you today or I could say you know the next the next step of this is to then look at those sales pages and leaf pages and how you do that and then the next step to this is how to put me through a sales funnel whole other training program but can you see how it's a it's it's answering your question on different levels and each level is value within itself because not everyone's gonna want to know about that sales funnel and people will look at this training and say okay that's good but I wanna know more I want to know among the best practice just tell me how I can do it so that it's you know it's a Ferrari some people are gonna want the Purina some people are gonna want the Ferrari but what we need to do is get them in at the Purina level first and that's what's solving these problems is so what's you're bringing a problem I did not have that written down that just came out sometimes I stand myself also Caroline low self-esteem feeling stuck your business and lack of clarity that's great that you've been able to look at that already so after we look at those problems and Caroline there's so many levels on each one of those things that you can problems that you can solve so if we look at that how on the on the basic level of that problem how can you best and most either easily solve that problem so looking at Caroline's example of say low self-esteem feeling stuck in business and lack of clarity there are multiple ways that we could solve that problem and I might solve that probably differently to Caroline but that's Caroline so genius in the way that she wants to do it and can best do it and most easily do it will be different to the way that I can so if we look at some ideas of how that mechanism might happen how you might solve that problem it could be things like a checklist maybe maybe with the low self-esteem there could be a daily check with some morning checklist of things to do to boost self-esteem for example there could be an audio so the meditations that could be video a video that you give them to to look at like a clarity for example a PDF ebook or something similar to that all in a PDF ebooks their value has dropped significantly over time and that's because there's so many of them the market is flooded with ebooks and back in the day used to go to charge for them and now not really people don't buy an e-book there is a cool website going totally off topic and I don't think I can even remember the name of it I'm going to put it in the night there's a cool website that changes an e-book into like a PDF into an interactive book and I think that's the way that ebooks are going to go when I find the website I will post it up in the comments because it's difficult and lots of value there's a lot of value in that so you could turn for example and even almost into a course like a check this will pop in an audio you might I don't know I think I'm going off topic because I think that might be good to sell anyway that's an idea something else you could do as a training program under those things so something like this with three day trainings are those five day trainings are so many different ways that you could do it even a free course on say thank you people somewhere like that or you could be giving template so templates on how you can today don't know maybe no example not sure there's some great templates for low self-esteem and feeling stuck in business but depending on what your problem is templates believe a thing to you so with my I've got proof I was templates for people where it's one click and it goes up into your account so there's there's so many options that you can give you can solve a problem in so many different ways and as I said before how I might solve a problem will be different to how Caroline might or Mariela or or you so Marielle is is how to brand their business to visually appeal and engage with their target audience branding that so really that is a pain point absolutely so if you look at those options so checklist an audio video PDF training program templates checklist again Mariella might be great on how how it looks maybe across all their social media so is there a checklist on how they can go yes my facebook matches my Instagram matches my email signature blah blah blah it could be a training program on how to set those things up there's so many different ways there's so many options in every single one of these problems that it really is up to you to decide how can you do it that's easy for you that's enjoyable for you and how you can do it better than anyone else because you're going to do it differently to hell I would Caroline would tell anyone would and that is that is your genius targeted at kids team and or community service always also providing their services to the community that's right that's right so with with yours Mariela do you have it just I don't want to be putting ideas in your head if you've already got an idea let me know if you've already got an idea of how you can best and most easily solve that problem but my my mind is spinning because that's what I like to do I believe my favorite South Caroline kids and teens community services branding yeah so I'm guessing Mariela they need to be where kids and teens are and keep that scarily and this is what i don't know about but kids are on snapchat I don't know how you want to how you want to bring that about with your clients they're on snapchat they're on Instagram they're definitely on Instagram and they're on Facebook so are there ways that you can easily help those community centers get started maybe on one of those platforms or Instagram or snapchat so that they can be branded where the kids are does that make sense let me know when you absolutely know a pain point this opting-in becomes a no-brainer people and that that is where that's a goalies that's where it becomes super easy it might take why don't you try as for you to find that one that is the one that they opt-in on in a heartbeat a good cold traffic sign up you know this is getting a little bit in the technical side but a cold traffic being people who don't know you they've just maybe clicked on an atom and come over to the thing that it is that you are opting into a good rate is 30% when you've warm them up like this so when you've been in a community and they've gotten to know you and then you offer value you're looking at 60% plus so that's how it becomes a no-brainer so that every 10 people that come across six people will say hey use my email address I'm going to give it to you because I trust you and you're going to give me value so I hope that makes sense so define a point if there's no questions I will wait just for a second for a question then if you're on the replay please do pop any questions so that I can answer them for you off after this and the final and key point to this is what's the one thing if you load up your opting with all the ways that can do something or more and more value so sometimes we get into this trap of it's not enough the more you put in there sometimes most of the time it becomes overwhelming and then in action happens and that's that's the worst thing that can happen because if you're like me and I have it against that you are you want those people your clients to take action to better themselves to better to solve this problem so it is really key to make sure that you are just putting in one major thing for them to do to take away it's similar over these three days I guess day when Caroline asked what what can I do in the next 24 hours in sequel so today I'm giving you over these three days I give you one thing a day so that you can do that in 24 hours that's max if I'm if I said to you after this okay I want you to go in sign now chief I want you to go and sign up for clickfunnels and want you to build a funnel and then I want you to set it up and then go into a group and post it up freak out massive freak out you're never going to do that and then I found you in that I haven't solved your problem so I will never ever make you gone doing mean things because it won't work so that's why I want you to look at the one thing so that actually happens because if they're taking action they're going to come back to you they will have probably tried to solve this problem before and probably someone's given them a bunch of things to do and they haven't done it and so that's why the problem still not solved I'm sort of thinking about this right in that this information I'm giving you I said it yes and the same again it's not rocket science and you possibly heard it before but if people are telling you the 100 ways to do something you're not gonna do it - it's too freaking hard basically let's do that so the one thing what is the one thing that you want your perfect client to do to solve their problem Mariella engaging visuals I believe yes yes you are a hundred percent right with kids and Instagram engaging visuals is the most important thing particularly on Instagram and maybe on snapchat but it's not my it's not my um I tried to get on there wasn't that thank you percent Mariola information overload I promise you I won't do that and if I do I want you to tell me because I want you to take action so that something happened something becomes of this it's not just something else you signed up for any chat and you turned up for which is just thank you because turning up means that you can make change and remember that you're passing this on to your clients you want them to turn up you want them to take action so it's the one thing so look at the one thing that was so the problem for you so just make sure they covered everything so here's the other thing here's the other one who know it's unlikely that the one thing is the only thing that they will have to do to get to where it is that they want to go so make sure that whatever it is that you're you're teaching them is that the first step and if they take that as the first step then you can teach them the next step and the next step so break it down so think in terms of the absolute first thing you can teach them to solve their problem does that make sense let me know I was sort of toying with if I should talk about this today or not I chopped it up and then I I deleted it out but I'm gonna talk about it so it seems we're gonna talk about anyway and that is is it um is it inauthentic to say this one thing is going to solve your problem because you'll see it everywhere and I do it I must admit in in my opting pages my highest converting opt-in pages are the ones that say do this one thing to solve this problem and often it's not one thing they have to do more but that first first thing is the way that's going to get them up there and that toy with it is they do not that occur is it not and is it over-promising and under-delivering and what it comes down to I believe is that it's a psyche thing so I could say to you as an example I wouldn't do this but anyway let's just say that I said that this this three-day program is the one thing to build your business to a million dollars a year how I would say you're not they do okay so the things that I promise are things that I promise are the first step to that problem and as in this program the lead generation made simple that what this will do is teach you how to get leads into business what I'm not teaching you to do is how to turn those leads into a billion dollars in sales I want teach you tomorrow however burn them up so that you can then sell to them but it's not the be-all and end-all of growing your business this is one step to grow in your business I guess keeping in mind that one thing to solving that problem if you show them that it on the way I guess that's the authentic thing I think I think I think this is maybe I didn't want to talk about it so I'm still grate it so I'd love any of your thoughts and feedback on what you think about it or if you've seen things that worked or things that don't actually Mariella we were talking yesterday when I passed up in the group about the language thing about marketing messages and any mentioning that it was all about being authentic and also being in the best interest of your client and I think I reckon that's where this comes as well is that as long as the thing that you are promising is on the step to that and it's authentic to you and it is coming from a place of helping that person I guess that's where it works but as I say speak brave you let me know so homework today some is in those groups in those new groups yeah thanks very much find the pain point you can solve and put a plan together how you can solve it however it looks like both of your line already have your pain point which is awesome so I'm actually going to move you along in the homework Department and I want you to think about the mechanism of solving that problem so that first one thing so if we look again I'll go back through that list of things like a checklist an audio perhaps a video a PDF ebook or something similar a training program or some templates is there something in those things that you can see that you can that feels good to create to solve that first step that one thing that they can do to be on the way to solving their problem so if so two-putts - that's the homework depending on where you are first step is if you don't have your pain point yet listen in those groups have a look through and maybe searching keywords see what's coming up and then search those keywords and see if that's thing and look at the problem that you want to solve and then if you've already done that over here I want you to look at how you can best and most easily solve that problem for you so what is that then you can create that's going to solve that problem for your client now does that make sense pop up the little
