hi there if you flick through to here you're obviously interested in the foundation degree in wildlife conservation and animal management this time of year we'd normally give you an on-site taster into the course you can see the site and meet the tutors obviously that's not a possibility at the moment so we're doing it virtually my name is Lucille and I'm the course leader and I teach on the level 4 and level 5 as well if you'd like to see some of our other tutors have a look at the other videos and you'll be able to meet them virtually all the information on the course should be available online you should find it on the university of Suffolk website or on the East Coast College psyched now tell you the modules that we teach any assessment methods and a bit about the semesters then how we how we work how we run the course and I mainly teach the animal education welfare that side of things and that's because my past history I used to be an iris PCA inspector so I come at it with that hat some of our other tutors and more conservation based and we work in partnership with the F ker lives even MZ and also the Norfolk Wildlife Trust and as part of your course you will get your annual membership for those organizations that's really important because as though you will spend two and a half days on-site at the college doing the theory side of it we need you to be quite proactive in getting the practical side of your course done so this means on the days that you're not on site we would like you to be out and about gaining work experience this could be doing conservation surveys this could be working with Norfolk Wildlife Trust or it might be that you decide that you're quite interested in do management zoology and you decide to go down that route that's the benefit of this course is that it is so broad so wide-ranging that it introduces you to so many different aspects of this industry and that means that you can pick the one that is relevant to you as part of course we also offer an international work placement so we tend to for the past few years obviously not this year but for the past few years we've done two weeks in Africa a private nature reserve it's an amazing opportunity the students that attend it come away having learned so much and put so much to their theory into practice but it is something we really really recommend that you do and I really hope that you'll be able to join us there soon if you do have any questions please direct in through the college and we'll be more than happy to answer them thanks for listening
