in this video I'm going to show you how Brightpearl can automate inventory management across multiple sales channels when new stock comes in and has to be made available across all channels as soon as possible to enable your sales then when an item sells on one channel inventory levels and all other channels need to be reduced to prevent the same item selling twice and the only way to do this effectively is using automation once you've connected your sales channels to Brightpearl everything happens automatically we'll start by receiving inventory your warehouse team will open a purchase order which you created earlier they select which items have been received optionally choose the inventory location and put the items on the Shelf broke pearl supports multiple warehouses and a range of location management methods the increase in available stock is sent out to all your sales channels which have the same product SKU in their system on the right-hand side over here I've got a connected Shopify store and if i refresh this screen you'll see that our 13 in stock will go up to 15 in stock each channel can be configured to show available inventory from a different combination of warehouses Brightpearl also supports Amazon FBA and remote inventory levels from dropship suppliers via our open API when an item sells online the order is downloaded into Brightpearl any available inventory is automatically allocated to this sale reducing your on-hand levels it's the on-hand levels that are sent to connected channels for accounting and warehouse management purposes you still have the item in stock on the shelf but as it's been allocated it won't sell to anyone else as soon as on-hand levels change Brightpearl notifies your connected sales channels to reduce their numbers too so you can see because we've got an order here for one of these tables our on hand has gone back down to 14 we can see the stock level in our connected Shopify store has also been reduced all you need to do is ensure the items on your channels have the same SKU as bright pearl a sales order can be fulfilled in multiple your shipments from different warehouses at different times or even part stock and part dropship so here for example this last line is going to be shipped via a dropship purchase order from a supplier called HK manufacturing and the top two items will be shipped from different warehouses again using Brightpearl automation much of this is completely automatic a particularly useful feature of Brightpearl inventory management is bundles or kits you can set up a single product SKU on your sales channel which in Brightpearl is represented as a bundle of parts when an order for this SKU arrives the inventory of the component parts are reduced Brightpearl can also set the availability of the bundle on the sales channel based on stock levels of component parts so here this surfboard in shorts pack would be unavailable on the sales channel because you didn't have any of the shorts in stock as soon as you receive the shorts into stock the bundle would become available again on the sales channel if you're running multiple warehouses you can choose which warehouse that stock is automatically allocated from when ecommerce sales arrives and you can use Brightpearl automation to fulfill the orders - you can set up automated warehouse transfers so that all you need to do is manage the exceptions Brightpearl is built in integrations with the leading e-commerce platforms and marketplaces and more are available in the app store all these inventory processes also work with sales created manually by your team which is great for wholesale merchants selling to trade customers on the phone or by email where your ecommerce sales are usually automatically allocated for wholesale or telephone sales you've got the choice of allocating only some items and you can choose the warehouse to Brightpearl point-of-sale orders will also allocate inventory from the same system so when you sell something in store it's made unavailable in your online shop within seconds all your channels can be linked together in a seamless automated network using a single pool of inventory helping reduced the cash locked up in stock reduced processing costs and prevent double selling
