I'm gonna ask a stupid question do you wish you had higher sales right dumbest question ever asked in the world well of course you want to make more money of course you want to bring in higher sales how about I teach you how you can do that easily stay tuned hello this is Dave Scott Peters with the restaurant expert commonlook Wow where your bottom line efficiency people how do we make more money on every dollar it comes in I still say you have to have a top line mentality we've always got to be bringing in more sales because hey man when I pass breakeven point I get to keep many more pennies and so my profitability literally shoots through the roof when I'm past break-even point I bring in more dollars how can I do that quickly well let me show you you use your sales people not walking vending machines not what can I get you not order takers but sales people and they do this by implementing server contests let me give you a couple my favorite number one we got server bingo you want to learn how to sell more wine sell more appetizers sell more of your rib eyes your high-end items whatever it may be let's create a server bingo card and in order to get bingo you will have to sell two bottles of wine you'd have to sell three appetizers what we're doing is teaching them to upsell in order to get this bingo and what do I do I get string kits and trash from my vendors I may get a leather jacket from a liquor purveyor a trip to Las Vegas I may have koozies and keychains and you name it t-shirts well it's all in their movie tickets I don't care what it is but it's all there and every time they get a bingo they throw it in the basket and they get the opportunity to be drawn to win a prize well how about one of my real favorites is the floating $20 bill what is a floating $20 bill that's where you take $20 so hey look we've got today's special burger it's a 15 dollar burger and has this this this this this on it unbelievable what did you do I added a whole bunch of vegetables and a little bit of sauce but it's an incredible burger it's got to taste great and oh by the way what's the difference between a ten dollar burger and a fifteen dollar burger five dollars so I'm gonna sell this 15 dollar burger how I'm gonna do it hey everybody here's a twenty dollar bill the first person who sells this this fifteen dollar burger today's featured the special of the day I'm gonna give you the $20 now server sells one comes up to me and says hey David I sold one takes 20 dollar bill right out of my hand it's theirs well now another server says I've sold two and that guys only sold one they go over that person tap him on the shoulder said give me the 20 bucks they take it and all of a sudden this game goes throughout the shift well by the end of the ship the person who has sold the most $15 burgers keeps the $20 now look $10 burger versus $15 burger putting a lot of vegetables on there it's got to be good but if I give my guests a great experience that $15 burger was worth $15 well I've made much more than $20 I've got all my servers selling more right and so while I know these are games and games are temporary but I can change my bottom line by implementing things like this using server contests getting my sales people to sell not just take orders do you have a favorite sales technique or contest you use in your business do me a favor share it with us in the comment section below before you go I want to give you two things to do number one subscribe to my youtube channel right now where I give you tips like this on a weekly basis to help you with your business but before you go I want to tell you about a free report I have the ten lessons I've learned that any restaurant must know in order to make more money get your life back have managers know what their job is are you a restaurant owner or manager wants to change your bottom line get your life back right then you need to download this free report right now make sure you opt-in because these lessons I teach can be life-changing again before you go make sure you subscribe to this YouTube channel so you get tips and tricks like this and sometimes monthly webinars YouTube live webinars that I give and I keep you abreast on what's new in the business and how you make more money and oh by the way tune in next week when I talk about delegation how you can get more done [Music] you [Music]
